  Ready to drop the money on a pool for our home walked into the store and patiently waited for a sales person. Let's just say we will be taking our business elsewhere. He was not helpful at all, nor wanted to give us the time of day to show us options or schedule an appointment to close the sale. I'm sure they are "great" to work with but first impressions mean a lot to me.

  We spent a very large amount of money with Barrett and Mid State Pools for my custom pool and hot tub. Let me begin by saying that Mid State cut as many corners as possible starting with the concrete pool decking which is now breaking away from the pool and the coping causing multiple large cracks that have now spread all over the pool decking. The large cracks have also made the filter lids not fit on properly. Second, is the two VERY small drains they installed in the decking that aren't large enough to drain properly causing the decking to flood every time it rains. Thirdly, we were having issues with the pool lighting system working with the Jandy system (both of which Mid State installed) we made multiple calls before a technician was finally sent out only for him to tell us the two systems were not compatible. Nothing was ever done to rectify this problem or any other for that matter. The Jandy system Mid State installed has never worked at a 100%. We have had to replace the pool pump, Polaris pump, and multiple cells to keep it working. Barrett and Mid State Pools has given nothing but excuse after excuse and no resolutions to our issues. Once Barrett and Mid State Pools gets your money you can forget them standing behind any of their work. I highly recommend choosing another pool company for your pool installation.

  Spent 1,850 dollars here to get a new salt system. The technician comes(on time) but never introduces himself or explains what he is going to do -- I know what he is there for so I let him in the back. In total he said max 8 words(not sentences, words) to me and those words were ONLY in response to me speaking to him. No big deal though, except he didn't tell me when he was leaving. So he installed everything but I never saw him test it. I have no idea if it works; I also don't know how to work it. He just left the manuals in the control box. I was also supposed to receive salt. None was left. Leaving my pool vulnerable to another algae bloom. So okay, they have a introverted technician. I call to the store(durning business hours) and leave a message(more times then not when I call the phone it was never answered). I call back the next day to speak with Amy who has just listened to my voicemail but has not called me back. She was very short with me on the phone(interrupted me mid sentence multiple times) and did not apologize once. She tells me she will have the salt delivered(it was) and she will have them collect water for them to analyze and tell me how much salt to put in(they did). Okay so they are making up for the bad start. Another negative is I am still waiting on a technician to come out and show me how to use this system I just paid Mid State $1,850 to have install. They told me they would send someone out today but it is 3:40 and they close at 5pm. I have not received a call about what time they will be(if they do come) at my home. Regardless of if they do call about coming today, making me wait almost a full work day in suspense thinking, "Did they forget to call me" is not professional. They should of scheduled a time two days ago when they told me they would send someone. The system seems installed correctly which is the most important part but the customer service was very poor.

  Absolutely love Mid State Pools. I am in charge of a very large pool at a local hotel. It went beyond green over the "winter". I took a pool sample and they walked me through step by step on what to do. Now we will use Mid State all year to keep our pool sparkling clean. Thanks for helping us guys. Your the best.

  The decision to use Barrett and Mid State Pools for our project was an easy one. After interviewing several pool builders he clearly stood out with his knowledge, professionalism, and vision. We were blown away when we saw his plans for our pool. We were also amazed at how he was able to incorporate our pool into our current landscape which included a large sloping backyard and lake. Most of the other builders seemed to have a cookie-cutter template and that is definitely not what we were looking for. As first time pool owners we had many questions and occasional requests during the project each of which was addressed in a timely manner. Barrett would always keep us up-to-date on the schedule as far as which crews would be present and what their goals were for that day/week. His crews were courteous, polite, and professional. They even befriended our Chocolate Lab, Trapper. You could tell they take great pride in their work and customer satisfaction is very important to them. Specifically I would like to thank Tony, Jimmy, and Michael as well as their crews for their professionalism and quality of work. Once our project was complete it was simply amazing at how close it was to the original rendition. The only differences were minor changes that we had requested along the way. We just finished our pool in December 2016 and we've already had many friends and family members ask us who built our pool. We have and will continue to highly recommend Barrett and Mid State Pools. Throughout this process we have not only obtained an amazing pool but also a great friend in Barrett.

  We have been very pleased with the wonderful staff at Mid State. We had them install our pool two years ago and it's been a great addition to our home. The staff is friendly , professional and will always go the extra mile to take care of us. They treat us like family. I would highly recommend this company for pool and spa installation as well as pool maintenance and supplies. We are particularly happy with the ozone system on our pool. We rarely have any issues with water quality, except after severe storms. The pool always looks great.
