Beware of Dr. Hodges. He extorted my mother for more money while her cat was in the middle of surgery. After doing the incision, he came out wearing gloves and holding the scalpel to tell her to bring back more money than what had been agreed upon, "or else." Or else what? He was going to put the cat down? Not stitch her up until she brought the extra money back? We don't know, but the situation was very traumatic for my mother.

I advise taking your pet to either Warner Robins Animal Hospital on Watson, or Riverside Vet Clinic in Macon.

I would be weary of this place.and 50 positive reviews does not necessarily mean that everyone is happy, just a fyi. And the girl that posted in the past week says, she is happy, and is going there weekly?
Obviously they have not figured out the issue right? Just saying, think about it they probably do a good 100-200 customers per week, where are all those people? And finally, they almost killed my cat, had I not taken him out of there on a SaturdayOh and also, its over a year later, and I have found 2 great vets. And my cat is dong excellent. Not saying they wont give your animal shots, take care of young animals, but a SCARY place if you truly have an old friend that needs help, they are lost. Give me a shout at calficamper@hotmail if you want a good vet in WR and details of this place

We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Hodges since we moved here a few years ago. Recently one of our dogs has had one health issue after the other, we are there almost weekly. Dr. Hodges and his staff are amazing to us and our pets. They always put us at ease, and take excellent care of our dogs. They are always available in person, or by phone, as well as the affiliate vet in Byron. We are so grateful to have such tremendously kind, caring, and capable people to care for our beloved animals. They stay busy for a good reason. We highly recommend and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Doc Hodges and staff are the best! We are new to the area and I needed a Vet, because my dog Loki was itching really bad. I called two other Vets and they said had no availability until 1 1/2 week, which I thought was ridiculous! I then called Critter Fixer and they immediately made us a spot and took us in and Dr. Hodges, took his time to explain in details what he had and the type of treatment needed. The following day needed to then take Thor my other dog and took us in as well!! I had explained what happened to the front desk about the other Vets and the response that I was given was "You will NEVER hear me tell a customer that there is not a space for their pet" that is when I said to myself this is the place I needed, because when your pets get sick if you love them as much as I do, you really want someone to be there for you and specially for them!

Vet is well mannered. Lobby can get a little crazy if you visit in the evening. The cost of services is higher than other vets I have visited.

My family has been going here for years. The staff in general is very professional and nice, especially the technicians. They try to make the pets feel comfortable while still doing their job. We've only ever had a few emergencies but they handled each one extremely well.

Dr. Hodges is one of the kindest people I have ever met. He is always very professional but also understanding, funny, and easy to talk to. He legitimately cares about all animals that comes into his office as well as their owners. He is always honest about the needs of the pets he sees and doesn't try to push medication or operations unless he thinks it is important. The few operations our pets have had he performed excellently, leaving no unexpected complications. He has also been very helpful and kind when our pets have passed away. He made a big impact on my step mother and went out of his way to help her when she was heartbroken over a few pets on death's door.

Attempted to help my step son figure out what was wrong with his dog. Did bloodwork and Doctor didn't even explain or go over any of the $150+ tests. Left with fluids and no explanation, opted to go to another clinic for another real opinion and was correctly diagnosed with Cushing's disease with skin problems resulting from that. That Doctor didn't even need to repeat bloodwork as it was Almost like he could tell Very obviously right off the bat what was going on. He explained what disease was, how it made things do what it does and how to verify it which we did and he nailed it. Started treatment and things are MUCH improved. I was just very dissapointed for all my other veterinary care (and I've had a great deal of Interactions with various vets being stationed all over the last 15 years) in the past the actual Doctor was always the head of everything. Felt like during my experience here the Doctor didn't even give us the time of day. I had heard good things but personally dissapointed by that. Staff was friendly though, so I'm sure it is a fine place to go for simple things like shots and deworming, but I'll
    Stick where I'm at.
