I liked it. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, area was quiet, got a great night's sleep. Morning restaurants we're right next door, 10 steps away from front entrance. I'd stay again.

Don't expect much if you're staying here. That being said, you get a bathroom and shower. There's air conditioning. Everything worked, but the hot water did run out. Not the cleanest looking room, but not bad. Parking across the street was cheap. It's in the middle of downtown, so you can walk to several places. Great barebones downtown stay on a budget.

The first sign of trouble was that I was handed an actual room key instead of a key card, so I knew I was in for a good one. Actually, it began when I was told there was no parking and that I could use the lot next door for $20.
As we entered the room, first thing I noticed was the size was extremely small for the price I paid. Then immediately I realized there was no carpet on the floor. There is no microwave, mini fridge, or coffee pot, let alone dressers to place your belongings. Forget taking an afternoon nap for the curtains over the windows are paper thin, letting tons of sunlight in. Toilet did not work properly and I had to pull the chain in the tank every time. Shower was tiny and reminded me of the ones in campers and the sink was outside of the bathroom on the other side of the wall with a very tiny mirror and no room to place toiletries. Television was the size of a laptop screen, but had cable. For what I was charged for this room, I felt I was ripped off. A Super 8 Motel is far superior to a stay at the Miami Sun Hotel. The only positive was that the tiny window AC did it's job. Definitely a disappointment and two thumbs down.response / report this review -

I have way more to say about this place than I could type in a timely manner but please heed my warning. This place is a nightmare. The service is garbage the rooms are worse and the environment is haunting strong police and homeless presence surrounding the hotel area. The rooms are disgusting the wife and I are convinced they didn't even change the sheeting with all the black hairs we found in the room (neither of us has black hair) we were doubled chargedand when asked for a refund we were basically laughed at and told that wasn't going to happen. I don't ever write bad reviews I'm fact this is only my third one and I highly recommend you save yourself the heartache and money and stay somewhere else.

This is a disgusting hotel and one of the worst I’ve ever stayed in. Considering what I was charged for two nights it is absolutely pitiful and I highly recommend against it and to look elsewhere. Firstly I was left sitting in the lobby for over an hour as the ridiculous policy of needing the credit card that was used to make the booking needed to be seen, considering this was booked for me online by someone else due to another hotel mix up earlier was disgraceful as was the service from the lady in regards to it. Had it not been 10pm an having been at three airports and on two planes throughout the day I would of gone elsewhere. Next is the extremely slow an dirty old elevator which will keep you waiting 5 minutes for it to come. Walking into the horrible room was like walking into a desert. The room consisted of two horribly uncomfortable single beds with no blankets just sheets, a disgusting tiny bathroom where there’s barely room to move or turn around with a sink outside next to the bed and a bathroom door that opens half way due to the bed being in the way. The only decent thing was the AC however it was extremely loud like a car engine. So you could either sleep in a humid room an sweat all night or try to sleep with the AC on an listen to it all night. Oh and it was great fun being sequestered to the room the next morning due to what I assume was a violent domestic fight a few rooms away from me with screaming and shouting the entire day with the police being called, yet once they left it continued on and I assume management did nothing as they were there all night. No care for they’re other guests. Needless to say I couldn’t sleep on my last night not only from the AC but I couldn’t wait to get the F out of there and never return. Definitely put a bad taste in my mouth of Miami. I would of preferred to sleep on the beach or the streets. Trust me stay away or find elsewhere. Don’t trust the pictures or “great” reviews. They are criminals for what they charge for rooms even the homeless would turn away. I wish I could give no stars.

If I could give a lower rating than 1 star, I definitely would.
The receptionist was kind and friendly - she was there when I attempted check-in at 9am and she was there when I came back at 1am to actually check-in. Yes, 16 hours later.
Anyway, I checked-in and about 15 minutes later, checked right back out. I got into the tiny elevator that smelled like mold, finally found my room, after several tries to get the key in the lock, I was in.
The room is TINY. It's a lawn chair, a bed and a sink. The bathroom is a stand-up shower and toilet. I barely even put my things down. There was a hole in the wall where someone clearly punched. The a/c wasn't on in the room so it had a certain stench.
Immediately I thought to myself - let me check the bed. The first thing I did was throw the gross, off-coloured Ikea throw pillow off the bed. I can't even BEGIN to imagine the germs on that. Then, I lifted all 4 pillows up individually to examine them - found two long strands of hair. Gross. So obviously the pillowcases weren't changed. Next, I pulled back the comforter (and turned on my phone flashlight - bc the lighting in the room is poor as well) and started checking out the sheets. First off all, the sheets were rumpled (they didnt even TRY to either dry them or fold themor my guess here, WASH THEM) because I found two DISGUSTING stains that were obviously fresh or never attempted to be washed out.
THE SHEETS AND PILLOWCASES WERE NOT WASHED. The beds were just remade for the next guest.
My stomach is churning even thinking about it again. I left IMMEDIATELY. I was too scared to even look in the shower.response / report this review -

I been in this horrible hotel last night, the worst that I have ever been in my live, I felt they still my money, small room ( no smoke) but you can smell weed all night long, bed was good but floor and bathroom not clean the all and also have to pay $20 for parking. Never come back 🤥😬

Great location in downtown!!!!!! But parking sucks, you either drive around looking for a spot or just end up leaving it on a next door lot for $10. The lobby looks recently renovated and Does not look bad, the walls have fresh paint. The rooms are small, beds are hard, and the bathroom is just too small..way to small. Management needs to do a deep cleaning and moping to those rooms. But for the money and location is good.

Nice Rooms, Nice Employees, but I think the hotel should have its own personal parking and free because some people like myself book a room for a fee nights due to an emergency and funds are tight and theres no free parking have to pay for parking and thats a killer right there which makes me think twice about coming back here.

Nice decor, ok location, uncomfortable beds, broken and dirty sheets, terrible a.c. and ridiculous bathroom, cant barely take a shower in it, it is ridiculously small Not even N.Y. have such of uncomfortable bathrooms. Ok hotel if you can find anything else late at night .

How does this place have more than 1 star? Read the reviews, Oh my god this place is terrible!! I've backpacked across china and central america, and this is hands down the biggest waste of money I have ever spent in my life. I mean they don't even have reliable hot water or an elevator! And this is in the united states, not Bolivia! Blood on floor, homemade beds, no mirrors, paper thin walls, bathrooms are tiny and sink is right next to bed, floor mat was softer than the 2 tiny towels, no closet, roaches in shower, a/c unit was a 12x12" 5k btu literally sticking through concrete wall (light comes in around it), and window and sill was filthy with stains and grime. First room didn't even have curtains. Tried to cancel remainder of stay after first terrible night but they refused but gave us an equally a bad room they "moved some stuff around to find us a better room" like they already know some rooms are just unlivable. New room wasn't much better but atleast had curtains (but we lost our tiny fridge for them as if you either get one or the other!) Its obvious that they make all their money from ultra ($250 a night for this dump?!!), I suspect the rest of the year they rent to homeless who need a rest and by the hour to prostitutes. You will regret dealing with this place.

This place is only good for sleeping only. The build is old, with a fresh paint job. Old hard beds. No hair dryer. Small rooms and door getting to shower is small. If you like real hot hot shower get up early or at night, 9am no hot water. AC has hard time cooling room being so small. Hotel offers no food. Just soda downstairs. 2 blocks walk to mall and food by the water. 2 blocks walk from train station to the airport.
