Good location, the place passes off as a fancy downtown hotel but too many things didn't work for me. First off, they nickel and dime you on things - parking was $42 per night. I've never heard of having to pay extra to park at a hotel I'm already paying for. A tiny bottle of water was $5.
So the room was cheap but it loses value when they jack up the prices on everything else.
The coffee cups they have in the lobby leaked. It's pretty to have their logo on the cup but they all leaked. It's an example of how they emphasize form over function.
Then the room key didn't work. Several times I had to go to the front desk to have them remagnetized.
Great vars, area 31 high up work great views And lilt had good music as you enter Plus great displays of art too
I have visited the hotel's lounge as well as their rooftop bar often. The lounge plays good music, its not usually too crowded and I've never had a bad time. The bar by the pool has beautiful views and Friday nights they usually have some sort of live music. Great spot to pregame before a night out or for after work happy hour when they have $5 drinks starting at 5pm.
Excellent hotel! Rooms are good with good furnishings. Staff and service is good, valet could be better. Great hotel overall.
Stayed here before my Caribbean cruise. Wonderful hotel! The room is very romantic with a private balcony with a view of the city or Biscayne Bay. Would for sure stay here again when visiting Miami or before a cruise.
Great room, very comfortable great views. Very high end feel but the hotel cost not too bad. Hotel restaurants and surrounding area are pricey venues so be ready.
Modern resort in a very central location. Amazing views and food! We have stayed here numerous times in the last year and it's the only hotel I would recommend. The rooms are spacious and the balconies are unlike any other in the downtown area (large, clean, and incredible views). The pool area and restaurants are very nice as well!
Great Hotel!!!! Left the beacon south beach and came here and they was great!!!! Loved it EPIC is definitely my home when I come to Miami. Those awesome views. Only thing I could say is be ready for the incidental hold but you get that back after you check out. WILL RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE. THE ROOMS ARE SO BIG AND THE LAYOUT OF THE ROOM IS GREAT. They treat you like a priority and the service is awesome my first and won't be my last experience. I hope I get the same treatment when I return.
The Epic hotel is a one of my favorite hotel in downtown Miami. I stayed two times in this hotel those two times had a good experience. Love the roof top pool view. The bar is a little expensive, but again is Miami everything is pricey. The staffs are very welcoming.
Nice downtown Miami views, spacy, well equipped and clean. Good sleep quality. In the room price add another 100 dollars for breakfast and parking. You pay 42$ per day and you wait at least 15 minutes to get your car! (The longer was 40 minutes). There was an attitude of arrogance from many hotel employees.
Area 31 restaurant. Great service. Great views (outdoor on the 16th floor.) Great music in the background. Food tastes great. Little pricey but what you should expect for an overall nice evening.
Was very excited to come and stay at the hotel. Beautiful views, great service. However, if you value your car do not let them valet it. On top of paying $40 for overnight parking I received my car back with a crack on the windshield. The valet manager kept on denying anything to do with it, but the crack was fresh, still pieces of glass chipping off of it. If you value your car, park it somewhere else.
Can't say much about the hotel itself as I didn't stay the night, but the facility is beautiful. Very modern and clean decor, art in the lobby areas, nice front desk staff. The hotel has a very swanky feel but was not pretentious at all which I was worried about given that I was wearing some extremely casual clothes.
What brought me in was that I had a day to kill after a cruise before my flight out of town and I wanted to spend the day soaking up the sun before going back to the cold. I found the Epic on a list of best places to get a pool day pass. They offer a day pass to use the pool area for just $20! The view there on floor 16, right on the water, in the middle of downtown was incredible! Again, service was extremely excellent. And they offer poolside drink and food service. It was a Monday in February so it was not crowded at all.
