Dirty, noisy, old, non chalant staff, terrible looking "free" food. Location is great and its perfect if you are there because you Yolo, live by night or budgeting otherwise you can do better.

Inexpensive, free meals, good location. First 3 days have been good.

You do have to listen to the sales pitch for whatever club they're pushing before each meal though

There was also an issue with a paid reservation for my friend. And we've been told of another possible problem for the last two days we're paid/booked, so we'll see how that plays out.

Jeff was the best, this was the perfect accommodation for us as they offered meals, drinks and nonstop fun. We even enjoyed a party bus and drink specials on the way to the club for the night

Can get a little loud on the weekends but hey this is Miami, right! Room doors stay locked for safety and each room have lockers in the room so bring your own locks. Light breakfast is provided between 8-9a (bagels, coffee, banana, juice). 5 minutes from the beach and 2 blocks from the parking garage on 7th street ($1 each hr from 1-15hrs, then $20 flat rate if you stay between 15 and 24hrs). Right at the heart of south beach. A/C was very cold. Bathroom was okay. Front lobby was average, nothing fancy. For one night, paid $21 and change with $10 cash deposit (you get this $10 back once you check out). Must bring linens and towel back in order to get the $10. I was a walk-in and didn't have any issues getting a room but recommend reserving your spot prior to coming in. If you love sushi, there's a place on 12th street called Sushi Song that has great food for decent prices and good atmosphere.

Beware first: it is a party hostel - music starts early and ends late.
Location is great, two blocks from ocean drive/the beach and a mini market and a tasty pizzeria right next to it. The staff seems a little chaotic but they are nice and helpful if you have any question.
The price seems cheap at first but it seems like there is no renovation whatsoever, everything seems run-down, so the rooms are not a recommendation at all. The floor is kind of clean but the overall room is very small, the beds old and loud, my mattress was very dirty as well as the loud AC in our room or the lamp.

I've been to this hostel countless times over the past four years and probably won't ever stop. Best people, best location, best atmosphere and the best experience you can ask for!! I've become friends with the exact same staff they have had since I started coming and made so many new friends from around the world.

Really nice place for a good price. Though, you have to understand it's a backpacker/party hostel and thus is not a good place for peace and quite. The rooms are decent and all of them have air conditioning, you get bed clothes and towels, bathrooms are ok. Are you looking for a place to meet new people and awesome parties this is the place to be.

I stayed with one of my friends at International Travelers Hostel during the summer of 2014. While all the staff were friendly and helpful the rooms weren't that great. I've stayed at other hostels as well and i can easily say this hostel was very dirty. The location is great 2 blocks away from the beach, and so is the staff however, the outside of the hostel looks like an abandoned World war 2 era hostel. In addition, the rooms were filthy, the floors throughout the hostel were very sticky and the most important thing was, the AC in my room wasn't working. I kindly asked the receptionist to change rooms and they did but the room that i switched to had the same issue, A broken AC. That is totally unacceptable. Let me remind you it was an 8 bed mixed room in July and the outside temperature was close to 100 degrees! The three stars are for the location and friendly staff. I would recommend renovating the hostel completely, its better for business! I would not stay here again.

I went to visit a friend over there. I thought it was a hotel, but it's a Hostel. You can be in a room with 4 or 5 people that you don't even know. I wouldn't feel comfortable. That will be your choice.

Terrible experience, I have never been in a place with such terrible management, organization and customer service. Although there are some people really nice, there are others extremely mean. We booked an entire room for a group of 7 for 3 nights (we were also willing to pay for 8 people to have the entire room). When we arrived, they split us into 2 rooms (5 and 2) and they made us pay for the 8th person without giving us an extra bed. They promised to give us the entire room at the next day, and that didn't happen. They kept us separate during all trip, and never refund us the money for the 8th person, neither give us the bed. We asked to talk to the manager, she never showed up, and she didn't care about this problem. There is no reason to accept this, the amenities are really low quality and not even the price compensate this type of issues.

Worst experience ever. First, I got bed bugs. Also, we had reserved 8 beds but only 7 of us showed up and we were charged the 8 beds and split into different rooms despite we had reserved a room for ourselves. One of the staff was extremely rude when we were trying to get reimbursed for the extra bed they never gave to us. The manager did not even care to talk to us when we tried to reach to her, even though she was next to us in her office. Food.. awful

The place is really clean (I skipped the food though I felt that it's good for the price whatever I paid). I met lot of travelers and we became good friends. Talking to many Couch Surfers I realized that this hostel takes people for big night clubs for cheapest price. I loved the parties we had.

Ensure you get the due payable right. We had to pay $70 more due to a misunderstanding. Other than that, the experience was pretty good. They take you to a good nightclub (Story/Mango) at night at a aignificantly lower cover charge which was quite good and enjoyable. A cheap place to crash. Parking is paid though and not included in the booking and fills up pretty quickly.
