Bad food and very unpleasant waiters. I recommend this place for drinks but not for food. Also the waiters seem to be decieving about the prices. So make sure you ask about the price before you order anything.

Attention! Absolutely Terrible! When we arrived in our hotel (not Colony), the owner warned us: Don't go into the bars at Ocean Drive! They try to skim you. Unfortunately, we did not follow his advice.

At the Colony an (maybe) Italian woman invited us: Drink one cocktail, get one free.

Of course she would not tell us the price at first. After the second question: How much is it? She tells us: It is 25 for one and the other is free.

What should I say: The cocktails were terrible, we gave them back, but they didn't try to excuse.

Otherwise the Italian woman had an argument with her colleague, if they can skim us or not!!!! The "Italian" talked in Spain, so we can understand. When they checked that we understood it, they bring us the bill after 10 Minutes wait. It excluded an 20% service Tax and the city taxes. So one Coktail was 30 Dollar.

    Warning!!!Do not go there!!!!

The staff at The Colony are so kind and accommodating, especially Vernon, Alfredo, Candice, and one other person whose name I can't remember. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and the view was unbeatable. They loaned us beach towels and gave us water bottles for the beach. My bestie and I made great memories here. We'll certainly be back.

Great location for South Beach. Walking distance to any Miami Beach attractions. No parking. Building a little old. Staff helpful. Need a little work but in general a good affordable stay.

Very disappointed in my stay here. At first arrival the hotel seemed very intimate, secluded, and comfy. (Even though we had major issues getting the door to open) The bed was not comforatable at all. It was super firm (Which is a personal preference). And one half of the bed is lower than the other. The next day I came back to the hotel and it seemed like no one had come to clean because the bed wasn’t made and the trash around the room hadn’t been taken and the only indicator that someone had been there was that the bathroom trash was taken and a bag wasn’t replaced and our towels were taken but we were only given one back. I went to the front desk to notify someone and get more towels. They called someone to go the room and take care of it so I went to the bar and ordered dinner. The food was excellent and bartender was amazing. About an hour later came back to my room and bed was still unmade and trash was still there. Took it to the front desk to throw it away (because the bathroom trash is mini and wouldn’t fit it). Came back the door was very difficult to open again. The card key was working but the door handle wasn’t.

My husband and I were in from Kansas City. The power was out in the whole south beach when we arrived. They checked our bags and gave us towels so that we could explore the city. The staff was amazing. The rooms were great. We had a great time. Definitely coming back!

Stay in the hotel!!!! It was great bed was amazing and we had a huge TV! Everything was nice. Now we were able scared to book because of all the reviews but I notice that most of the reviews were aimed at the restaurant/bar outside. Which have nothing to do with this hotel. So don't base your decision off that! I ate breakfast there at the restaurant though. They have very decent prices. But the hotel experience was great. Great location, great service, extremely clean rooms.

Awesome place good size rooms with double beds for about $65+tax. It was nice and clean. My favorite staff was the overnight guy Jamal very helpful and friendly. THE RESTAURANT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS HOTEL THE RESTAURANT NAME IS COLUMBIA STOP SLANDERING THIS HOTEL. Cheap prices but excellent rooms if you ask me I've been in worst.

I cant speak of the hotel but the restaurant downstairs is beyond terrible. Complete rip off doesn't explain their promotions clearly. Those fishbowls are $55, PER PERSON. They wont let you buy one and redeem the free one right away if you have another person with you, they will charge both of you for one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Don't get the long-island(taste like pure alcohol) or some blue drink with a corona on it(taste like piss). the margaritas are good at least. I just hate their shady practices to sell you up.

TOTAL RIP OFF !!! They serve minors without checking ID as well. Order a buy one get one margarita and you will get the biggest one on the planet and it cost $55.No where on the menu does it list what the price is. Oh wait a minute, if you grab a magnifying glass and read the smallest print one could use, its listed at the bottom right hand corner of the menu. I know this because when I went to dispute my $155 bill (that only had three drinks on it) they called the COPS on me and it was the Miami P.D. that pointed out the fine print and then forced me to pay the bill. Miami P.D. acted just like their private thug security force so they can piss off too.

Liars - one waiter invites you for happy hour "2 drinks for one price" they bring you biggest drinks (one is 70€) than they tell you that one free is only when 1 person orders 2 drinks ( 2 people pay 2 x 70€). Don't go there. We have visited here so many better places.
