The rooms were great so was the breakfast but the rooms smelled a little funny and the workers did a okay job.

This place was placed along the beach which wss nice. You have shopping centers near near you. But the rooms were a little dirty as far the floor. Enjoyed my time there though.

My expectations were elevated because of the price we paid. Front desk staff were excellent and breakfast lady was amazing! Our 1st room there was blood on the shower curtain and wall. We were offered a different room. The 2nd room there were hairs on both beds and the dining table was extremely wobbly. When i spoke to the front desk staff they were embarrassed and said they would take care of it. While waiting we noticed hair in the shower, sand on the floor, dirty marks on the kitchen floor and cigarette smudges on the window ledge on the balcony. Someone showed up with linens and remade the 2 beds. Nothing more was said. I decided to not complain further to front staff, as it would not result in anything much better. The lobby and pool areas were extremely well kept. Location was great.

We booked the room for two nights. As mentioned in a previous review, only one elevator. The room had a strong musty smell. We were on the 2nd floor and with there being no carpet on the floors we heard chairs being scooted across the floor all hours of the night. Dont get me wrong with all the humility I was happy there was no carpet. Our room was right across from the bar that played extremely loud music until at least 2 AM. We have one more night here and hoping to get some sleep tonight..would not recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing! Great ocean view. Within walking distance to shops and resturants. Clean. So friendly. 11 foot deep pool! Will be going back anytime we come to Florida. Or and Jimmy Heart " mouth of the south", was there running his bar in the hotel. And even though there a bar there it's still really family friendly environment and not wild and crazy.

We just got back yesterday (07/09/2017) from staying in this hotel. We had never been to Daytona Beach before and was iffy about staying here due to the pictures online. The rooms have been remodeled, the front of the building has been painted, and they were finishing the back while we were there. The area is perfect and the price is super cheap. The only complaint we had was that there was only one working elevator. From what I understand from the workers, it has messed up and the original builders did not think about the future if it was to mess up. It doesn't seem like it will be fixed anytime soon, but other than, we have no complaints. We brought two vehicles with us and had to pay to park one of them somewhere else because they only allow one parking spot per room, which is very understandable. The staff was all really nice and the breakfast had a lot to choose from. Everyone was pretty laid back. We are thinking of returning here next year. The pictures are outdated and someone from the hotel needs to post some updated ones.

The Mayann Inn, would been a great place to stay if they wasn't Renovating the hotel. I do understand they can't close it down to renovate but they could made it a lil better for the Guest. The people that was working on it did not let the guest use the elevator first which they should have. When you pay over $800 to stay somewhere. You want it to be just right!! Housekeeping did not leave coffee after we used ours. When we got in the room for the first time the room was not clean the floors had stuff all over them like they didn't mop them. The view from the balcony was AWESOMENESS!!!
We was right on the beach beside had to walk down stairs to get there.
The stairs from outside to inside smelled so bad you could not walk them. It smelled like people Pee in there!

First of all the pictures online are totally misleading the rooms where so called "remodeled" but our door had wooden shims wedged in the sides and the flooring wasn't finished going out of the balcony door. To top everything off when we decided to leave for dinner we were welcomed back with no parking spot but security was holding spots for certain people and told us we had to park two blocks away and pay 20$ so of course we drove around for one hour until a parking spot was available and the hotel staff had no empathy or any rhyme or reason why security was holding spots for certain people needless to say don't waste your money or time and please stay some where else if you don't want the inconvenience of being royally pissed off during your vacation!

We arrived late In the middle of the night Friday. The man at the desk was very polite and helpful. The security guard was very helpful as well that night. Check in was easy! Saturday night we left to go have dinner and shop around a little bit we arrived back to NO parking. I walked in and asked the two girls at the front desk what I should do she said we had to park in the over night parking 3 blocks away.I told her that was insane I was not paying to park 3 blocks away and walk back to my hotel that I paid for leaving my car three blocks away. She was not helpful at all! I asked her my other options and she said their was not any and if I parked illigally my car would be towed. I was livid I was not paying to park 3 blocks away number one and number two I was not paying to park even if they paid me back. We circled around and found out the security guard standing in front of a parking spot we asked him if we could park their and he said he was reserving the spot for someone. and that person lived here in Daytona. I have to park three blocks but you can reserve a spot for your buddy? I went back into the hotel and asked who the manager was and the girl said me. I highly doubt it and told her that I would like a refund and I was taking my business else where and she said fine but she could not pay me back for the day because I didn't check out at 11 fine. understandable as we rode around for 1hr at 11 pm we finally found a parking spot at the hotel due to someone leaving when we got in she was gone and the original man the first night was there and informed us if we did leave we couldn't get our money back through them because we booked through someone else understandable but he even stated his self if we needed parking we could have parked where that "manager" was parked in front of the hotel with no problem and also stated that the "security" guard could not HOLD or RESERVE parking. needles to say we will NEVER stay here again due to parking and due to the two RUDE people at the front who only stand there to collect a paycheck at the end of the day the customer is always right!!!! If you don't like your job find another one!

Booked through Expedia, was not informed any renovations were going to be taking place, minutes after we showed up and got to our rooms, the smell of paint fumes were over barring. We went to the front desk to ask to be moved because of the fumes, especially with have 4 children under 5 in our group it was not safe for anyone to be around. Literally painting the walls around our doors, our doors (with children in the rooms) were sealed shut with plastic wrap and tape so they could paint.
We brought this concern to the front desk and they informed us it was not suppose to be happening until Monday and that when they do Reno they do not book on those floors, they said they will have them stop immediately, offered drink cards and to credit our accounts a percentage of our stay
Just a couple hours later heading back to our rooms they are back in our hallway painting again the staff assured us they will have them stop. Needless to say 3 complaints later they were still painting around our rooms until our last night.
Most of the staff was pleasant and helpful but there were a couple that couldn't have cared less about our safety issues. It's not about the drink cards, or the money back.. it's the safety and that was what we told them and nothing was done to have that happen. Looked forward to 4 days away with the family to relax and have fun but dealt with this issue DAILY.response / report this review -
