Such wasted potential at this hotel. They’ll tell you what you want to hear but never follow through. Pet friendly but nowhere to walk your dog. The rooms need updating, not just to be modern, but to be CLEAN. But the worst part BY FAR was is the poor management. We had several issues with our room and were promised a free night but the manager has not returned SIX phone calls in the last four months. I doubt they’ll care if they read this anyways.

Some great rooms here. Several rooms have great views and great access to the beach. Location is amazing and in the heart of everything.

The beachfront view was fantastic and it's a great location, but that's about it. The rooms are dated. The microwave did not work and kept shutting off the breaker. I told the front desk and they never came to fix or replace the microwave. The TV had no cable signal and they never came to fix that either. Wifi does not work or very slow and cuts in and out. The A/C vent in the closet was very loud to the point that it was difficult to sleep at night. Room said "Non-Smoking" on the door, but when we arrived, there was a new cigarette lying strategically on our bed, kinda' creepy. A lot of strange people staying there and the building is still being repaired from Hurricane Matthew. In fact, a lot of the rooms are being held up by giant clamps. Pool is not heated. The pool gate with the code is difficult to open. No lights on the premises at night, except for sensor lights. Front desk must close at a certain hour and does not reopen until 7 a.m. so don't try to check out earlier. No phones in the room. Can't dial front desk for anything. No alarm clock and the clock on the wall had no battery. No creamers or sugar with coffee packets. When I first booked the reservation, the room was more expensive by about $50 per night and then I had to shorten my stay anyway, and the rooms dropped in prices for a shorter stay. I'm glad I didn't stay longer as originally planned.

This place is horrible! ! First room we were put in the whole door/locks fell apart! They acted surprised, but the whole place is falling apart. It's like walking back in time, old, dingy, dirty & disgusting. Wifi does not work. We had been traveling all day & I felt dirtier when I entered room than I did before. I had to clean my own room, dusty & musty. I had to wash & sanitize the coffee maker before even thinking about using it,still might not!! Do not waste your money or time on this place.

Halt all construction. Tear it down and rebuild. I expect old and even a little rundown when staying in Daytona. I do not expect to have to clean my own room and sheets, towels before using anything. The room was covered in dust and grime. I booked this hotel for the convenience of kitchenette, which the newer, larger chains don't offer. We used nothing in the kitchen because I had no desire to wash everything in there before use as well. I would have been MAYBE willing to give 2 stars if we didn't also have to deal with other guests (owners?) shooting up in the parking lot, snorting coke on their balconies and blatant disregard for noise restrictions.

Further, this was our 5th trip to Daytona in 16 years and I am sad to see the condition of the city. Our first trip here was when Oceanwalk was being completed and the Lagoon was just being built. Most businesses are clearly struggling or shut down completely. Popular tourist restaurant, Joe's crab shack has been remodeled but not for the better, service and food were mediocre at best. I know they've been hammered by hurricanes but what is the state doing to rebuild this once beautiful vacation destination? I was so excited to share my favorite beach with my kids for the first time and am disappointed to say we will never be back.

The staff was very friendly but the place itself was a mess. We walked into the room and immediately felt uncomfortable. The "suite" was small and cramped and did not look or feel clean at all. The shower had bugs in it and the bathroom was not clean. The towels and sheets smelled of cigarette smoke. The beachfront location is nice, but there are many other places in the same location with better prices and much better quality rooms. We could not even bear to stay the night and checked out a few hours after checking in. They only give you one parking pass per reservation which was inconvenient for us because we had two vehicles and had to park one in public parking. We could not stand to stay the night when we checked in and will not be booking a room here in the future.

Did an Air bnb with private owner. This was No fault of the private owner but this is a very old establishment that is very humid feeling in summer and right in the middle of all the activity. Activity can go either way whether it be good or bad. We experienced witnessing both. We also saw where other units were very dilapidated looking.

Hotel is "OK". I came with my JROTC unit for a drill competition and we stayed for 3 nights. We were lucky My room (with 3 others) was one of the cleanest of them all. Sheets were outdated and the patio ceiling was held up with metal stilts of some sort. The staff left thank you notes in all our rooms. The security lady was very nice, and talked to us occasionally. The lady at the front desk was not very nice (rolled her eyes at me). House keeping was very nice as well. Some of the other rooms that my group had were disgusting. One room had a lamp shade with a huge brownish red stain on it. Another had bed bugs, another smelled very old, another had windows and a back door about to fall off. The building was overall falling apart. The rails are held together with duck tape and zip ties. I hope these renovations improve the rooms. The rooms need new furniture badly. The hotel is close to many different attractions that kept us busy. I wouldn't recommend to anybody. Many other hotels around.

Update: Stayed here again with my JROTC unit and we went to Kennedy space center. I was originally in a room without a ocean view. I was one of the 2 hotel rooms in our whole group that do not have the room ready. An hour later they changed us to an ocean-view room which ended up being the same room I had the year before. I remember the 1st day we got there was madness. I believe our group had around 10 plus rooms total. I think 75% of those rooms were changed because of some maintenance related issues. Some female rooms were on the lowest level and the doors did not lock, and the windows did not shut correctly. They were worried because the door is faceing a dark alley. Some even had broken windows with cardboard covering them. They all changed rooms. All the renovations really improved the exterior of the hotel, but the Interior still needed some work. It's kind of a pain because some of the doors have an actual key lock and some have the card lock. That was the reason why my room was not ready. I had a door with an actual key lock on it and they had to go have extra keys made. And this year they did not leave thank you letters in the rooms. All of the staff were very friendly we had a few conversations with the security guard and some of the maids. One lady who worked at the desk was very rude but there is also a guy that works at the desk that is very nice. Overall the hotel improved a little from the year before but still needs a lot of room maintenance. I even found a couple hairs in my clean sheets and towels. In my opinionthe ocean view was is the best part of this hotel. I was on the 3rd floor and I sat on my balcony at night and listened to the waves and listened to some quiet music.

Was completely disappointed. Stayed here Friday-Sunday for Tuner Evolution (a car meet) since I had to model. I figured it'd be a nice one since the price was expensive. Oh no, I thought wrong. God forbid getting any sleep. Music was LOUD. room reaked of POT. bathtub was DISGUSTING. Air Conditioning didn't work to save a life. Wifi was the WORST. Guy at the front desk treated me as if I was completely stupid. Oh let's not forget how you're laying in bed at 9AM AND THE ROOM SERVICE COMES STRAIGHT IN YOUR ROOM WITHOUT KNOCKING. the pictures that are posted to their website are false advertisement. It was disgusting.

If you want the "Daytona" experience, you have to stay here! The lobby is adorable, the staff is soo nice and it's within walking distance to everything. Restaurant attached to Inn, popular restaurants, bars and clubs near by.

The beach dive nightmare you've heard about and hope you don't have - dirty, run down, scary. It's being repaired after Hurricane Matthew did some damage so hopefully that will give them some money to bring it up to human standards. $200+ per night for a room with A/C window unit in the bedroom and a portable AC unit in the living area. Wires everywhere for the cable box run along the floor and hanging from the ceiling. Huge hair mat in the shower drain (clean much?), and a gritty tile floor throughout the whole room, no carpet at all. Their renovation team was hard at work though, replacing tile in the room over my head until 2AM, complete with a tile cutter! Terrible, terrible experience. The one positive - the beach view was great.
