I was pleasantly surprised! They are so pleasant and great here!!! Truly a gem of a find. I was a bit concerned over the resort fees but they made the experience worthwhile. Dining is top notch and the prices reasonable. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the hotel has to offer. They definitely go the extra mile to make sure we were happy.
Great location. They have parking across the street however they have a nice walk way. They have a great place that serves meals including brunch. They also have a place to prepare some smokes at the back area. They do have a nice rooftop area for the night life. They also have a balcony to view the sunrise and/or sunset.
Our school held their holiday party here. We received a discount on rooms for the event and the staff was helpful and welcoming. We even happened to get a discounted room with an ocean view! Great success
Attentive and friendly staff. Amazing chefs, I can just rave about their food. You MUST try the Cabana Dining Experience at least once in your life. You've never eaten that well in your life. Beautiful rooms, comfy beds, amazing views. I'm glad we spent our honeymoon here.
The hotel is nice and decorated well. It seemed yo be in a slight state of disrepair. One elevator was broken during my 3 night stay and another made horrible sounds. Valet is overpriced at $22. My coworker requested that our room not be cleaned with the front desk. It was cleaned and our personal items on the desk, console, and vanity were moved aside. This wouldn't be terrible except my coworker had a bone marrow transplant 9 months ago and has precautions with her items. Her pillow used for her feet was placed on top of her head pillow. Her case with pills was moved (nothing missing). For someone with great sanitary precautions, it was disconcerting to know her things were touched.
This hotel is very big, it has a full bar, pool side and the beach is rite out back. They have the fire pits goin, it's really cool here this weekend. I will visit again. I love the balcony and the view.
I was there for a conference. Ordered quick dinner in the restaurant so I could return to lectures. Ordered grilled cheese sandwich, waitress brought me a hamburger. No time to wait for my actual order, so I ate the hamburger. Three hours later, started 24 hours bonding with the bathroom. I wasn't able to eat for three days. Missed my classes.
I attended an award ceremony/luncheon at this hotel today. It was my first time visiting, but it looked wonderful from my limited time there. The catering was top notch and the event was handled professionally. Would definitely like to go back for a weekend stay if I get a chance to do that.
Room appeared clean and we were pleased with our in room dining experience. Had to use our cell phone for calling front desk as the phone in our room was not working. The clothes closet was in the bathroom and the clothes bar was a few feet from the floor; that is, hanging clothes were on the floor. Very limited drawer space for clothes. Very limited space in bathroom for putting personal items (i.e. toothpaste, tooth brush, deodorant). Bedding was a concern as the pillows didn't smell clean. Requested room with coastal view; instead, got room with a full view of the roof (including satellite dishes and air conditioners) and a coastal peek. A few years ago when we were in Daytona Beach, we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and we had none of these concerns. So, in my opinion, the Holiday Inn Express is a much better hotel.
Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was nice (if a bit dated) and we loved the balcony. The pool was always busy but it's right on the beach so we didn't mind going there instead. We especially loved the smores kit we were given for the evening campfire. Would happily stay here again.
My husband and I booked our trip here for the start of our honeymoon and were so excited to have a relaxing, beautiful weekend. INSTEAD, we drove four hours right after our wedding to check in only to be told by Lori at the front desk that she couldn't find our key and that we were inconveniencing her for checking in because she was in the middle of an audit. She made us feel very uncomfortable. I offered to show her our confirmation information I had pulled up on my phone, and she said "It won't do me any good. There are no keys, and I'm doing an audit." Instead of asking us to sit and get comfortable while she tried to find a solution, she sighed and was visibly irritated as we stood there, all of our luggage in hand, until she finally decided to call someone. She called, in front of us, making us sound stupid, and had an employee "check the room to make sure no one else is in there." SERIOUSLY? There's a chance someone else was in our honeymoon suite that we had booked for weeks? I couldn't believe she even allowed that thought to cross our minds. Thankfully, no one was in OUR room, so she allowed us to go up and said we'd have to come down the next day to get keys. Good thing we were in for the night, because we wouldn't have had a way to get back into OUR room.
That's only the beginning.
The next day, after a long day at the beach/pool, the water in all of the upper floors of the facility went out. Apparently there was a leak, which I totally understand; however, I expect a solution when something like this happens. Instead, we were greeted with more bad customer service.
When we realized we couldn't shower, my husband tried to call to the front desk, only to realize the phone in our room did not work.
We had to get dressed and go downstairs to find out about the leak. We were told the water would be back on within the hour.
Instead, it didn't come on until the next morning (mind you I'm disgusting and haven't been able to brush my teeth or anything). When it finally came on the next morning, I was in the MIDDLE of brushing my teeth when the water began to spout out BLACK. The sink was covered in whatever that was. Gross. I was so livid.
We didn't have a chance to immediately go downstairs, as we had a Spa appointment booked at the resort that morning.
Thankfully, Henry at the Spa was AMAZING. He was so kind and informative. We really enjoyed talking to him. He sympathized with the water situation and even called down to the front desk to push back our checkout time so we may have time to shower. He's the ONLY person at the resort who tried to offer any help to the situation. Our masseuses were also amazing, by the way. The Spa was a 110% perfect experience- complete with mimosas and truffles after!
When we finally went to checkout at the hotel front desk, I asked what they planned to do about the water. The staff were visibly irritated with the situation, as I might expect (although you don't show your frustration to customers!), and handed me a business card with the manager's information and said I'd have to call on my own time if I wanted anything done.
Thoroughly disappointed, we grabbed our suitcases and left for our honeymoon cruise (the redemption of this trip).
I called the manager's number as soon as we got in the car, Harden Perry, and was sent to voicemail. I left a detailed message about our experience, left my phone number AND email address and asked to hear back.
No response.
It's now been three weeks with no response. We're sincerely disappointed. The Spa is the only reason I did not give this experience one star for this review. Hopefully we'll hear back soon!
Beautiful resort. Rooms were amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved walking from the pool straight onto the beach.
It's a calm environment and very family oriented. Everyone is nice and very accommodating. They try there best to make your stay pleasant. Although the $17 a day for parking is outrageous , but other than that there isn't much to complain on.
They have an awesome bartender at the Tiki Hut named Ryan. He was super attentive to all of the guests, knew their names and made awesome drinks. The hotel itself looks very nice, however it could be a little more tidy and clean. Room was nice and big with a great balcony and view.
So far so good. The room is clean. The staff is friendly and understand. And the view of the beach is relaxing. I wasn't haven't the best day but the view of the ocean makes it relaxing. Where to hotel is located their isn't too many beach goers so you are able to relax and hang out. There is a pool as well in the hot. Oh and according to hotel entrance there is happy hour from 5-7pm.
Update: so I added more pictures of the hallway, and bon fire. Out stay wasvery very pleasant. I would go back again. Very relaxing. The hotel just needs some updates like painting the door to a modern look 👀 like white or a light grey. I loved the bonfire 🔥.
