Our room so clean set up was very nice. The staff was nice. Would have like bacon in the breakfast in the morning.

We rented a room for the five of us to attend a live dark comedy murder-focused show in Madison. After driving 5 plus hours, we entered our room, which was spacious and well-maintained. The beds were roomy and the shower had a nice range of pressures. We only stayed for a night, but it was a very good find.

While nothing overly elegant the staff is friendly, it has a pool and you can buy beer or wine on site. There is a bar next door that's fun and has decent bar food. Rooms were clean and reasonably priced.

Our non-smoking rooms smelled of smoke. They did move us to some other rooms after we complained, though. The rooms were OK, but the halls smelled of really strong cleaning agents. Other than that, it was a pretty basic hotel.

This is a great hotel. They have a fantastic breakfast that is cooked fresh and they keep stocking it so everyone has a chance to get plenty. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly.

We have stayed at this property several times and have enjoyed our stay We do have two complaints. We were surprised to find that at breakfast there was no decaf coffee. When we asked about it we were told that there is decaf coffee in our room. When I checked there was one decaf in the room. This may be inconsequential to some, but is important to my wife and me. Secondly there was no Equal or Splenda at breakfast either. Being both diabetics so this is also very important to us. There was the pink sweetener which is a known carcinogen. This will not stop us from using this facility, but it is very disappointing.

Location was cool because it was kinda hidden away from the city. It was also next to the Harley Davidson store which was awesome. Staff were nice and the room was excellent. Pool was too small though. Breakfast was delicious, definitely like the self serve pancakes. Definitely give it 5/7 stars

We didn't actually sleep here. We made a reservation on Expedia, and knew something was wrong when there were only 4 other cars in the parking lot, not counting construction company pickup trucks-no construction sites were visible nearby.
A confused-looking elderly man was wandering around the lobby in slippers, fiddling with a pack of cigarettes. In the continental breakfast area, four men were working on a 24 pack of Busch Lite, slinging the empty cans across the room into a five-gallon bucket set aside for that purpose. Three video slot machines beeped opposite the front desk. The phone at the desk was ringing, but no one was around to answer it.
Eventually, a front desk person did show up, she gave us our keys (the first set didn't work, so I had to go back and get a new set). The room itself was nice-two double beds and a sleeper couch-but something just didn't feel right. I've never seen a hotel that empty. I've slept in a tent in grizzly bear country and I felt safer with the bears than I did at this hotel.response / report this review -

We have been staying here every year for 4 years because of the Midwest horse fair! Used to be a great hotel with great breakfast that changed over the weekend now it's the same old thing over and over! The most enjoyable thing about rhe hotel was the nice man serving breakfast Friday and Saturday! This hotel tripled it's prices and offerd nothing for it. Rooms are outdated beds are hard and the room I was in was falling apart, dresser drawers were broken clock was missing and shower curtain was dirty! The pool was clean but you couldn't get in it or the hottub because people are allowed to bring alcohol and jello shots into the area sit there and get drunk all night! For the price it is now I will stay at a better hotel!

Had a fabulous room with a jacuzzi tub. Pool was nice however could have used more towels (wedding party was in the pool area). Breakfast was good, kids were impressed with the pancake machine. Overall had a fabulous time and would definitely return.

The King suite room was terribly dim, it smelled heavily of paint and the room had an overall uncomfortable feeling to it. A refund was given after only my thirty minutes there. We had left my wife's boots there and I had called shortly after leaving the hotel, upon my conversation with the front desk I was told the manager had voided my refund after I had left. After three attempts, and contacting different staff members, my wife's boots were finally found. I was told my refund will be in tact. In all honesty the price off the room was not worth it. The Courtyard Marriott hotel was 20 dollars more and we'll worth the price in comparison to the Magnuson.

I booked a king room online for 1 night (1/15/2017). When I arrived at the hotel I was told they had no more king beds available. Front desk manager said it was a "glitch" in the online system and nothing to do with the hotel. He said he could upgrade me to a room with 2 full size beds. I'm 6'5, so anything less than a king is not ideal.
I asked what other options he had and was told "I can cancel your reservation and you can find another hotel". NICE! At 9 pm I'm going to drive around looking for another hotel.
He then looked at the clock and said "well check-in started at 3, so that's why all of the king beds are gone". Hmm So when I book and confirm a room I should also plan to arrive closer the first check-in time to guarantee that I get the room I booked. Did I mention the gentleman that checked in before also had a king room booked and was sent to a double bed suite?
I took my keys to the "upgraded" double bed room. Sure enough neither of the keys worked. I walked back down to the front desk and the keys were reprogrammed. I went back to my room and AGAIN the keys did not work.
Back down to the front desk for a third visit with the not so pleasant front desk manager. I asked the manager if there was someone already in the room. No, that's your room. Well he decided to check the computer and said "$h!t", that's the suite not your room. Then he programmed me a new key and wrote the correct room number on a slip of paper and sent me back up. Third time's a charm, I was able to get into a room this time!
Needless to say I will never stay here again, nor would I recommend anyone else stay here unless you don't mind what kind of room you have and are tolerant of poor customer service!
