You have a fabulous employee named Kalo who works in your breakfast area. She greeted us with a smile and was so accommodating. Impression are easy to make and hard to undo. She needs to be moved to the front desk, with that smile and personality it's a win win.

Superb customer services, one of its kind. They try to accommodate guest's requests as much as one could ask for. I would recommend this place to everyone who consider reasonable stay in La Jolla or San Diego. Close to every thing. I will come back again.

Great location!!! Nice room, lots of space, clean. Great pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was decent. Excellent for the price I paid!

I stayed here for the first time during a family vacation in June, and had such a great experience that I chose to come back while on a work trip in September. EXCELLENT staff, beautiful property, and plenty of good parking! It shows that you take pride in the facility and the grounds/landscaping are just gorgeous. Best part was having breakfast outside in the pretty (and peaceful) courtyard :)

Rooms are nice and clean. The lady at the front desk was very professional and friendly. The breakfast is great, and you can enjoy it in the morning sun of San Diego. The bed was a little firmer than I like.

The stay was mostly very good. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and the rate was reasonable for the areav(with free parking, breakfast, and wifi). The only downsides, which in all I removed a star for, where the following: - Breakfast started later than I'd hope normally and was an hour late one day of the stay, so I didn't end up being able to get the breakfast on my schedule. - The air conditioning unit in the room was very loud, especially when you're trying to sleep at night. - Rhe shower in the bathroom has no door or curtain! What a terrible design - the water gets all over the ground, toilet, towels, etc, with no way to stop it. Very odd and inconvenient. Despite these issues I would stay again.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Remade 50's motel. Really close to great beach's. Staff is amazingly friendly. Will surely stay here again. They even have a cute pool.

Beautiful property and excellent value. I also noticed no weather stripping on our suite door, but that was very minor. Our room had a spectacular view and a sitting area on the third floor. Highly recommended that when you book here, upgrade to the suite and have breakfast outside. It's like your own private dining area :) A very short walk to the beach and a spectacular view.

The staff is so amazing. Very helpful with their own personalities. Enjoyed the conversations with them while checking in. They've been great to family and me - clean rooms and great locations - what is there to complain about??

The Holiday Inn Express is the best kept secret in La Jolla. This Holiday Inn offers the consistent and prompt Holiday Inn service we all know and love with the feel of a smaller outdoor resort. You can be rest assured after a long day of presentations or enjoying all the various places in San Diego witg your family that you will returned with your bed neatly made with clean sheets, towels and wash cloths stocked in the bathroom and all your belongings exactly where you left them. The staff is friendly and personable. For those who want to lessen their impact on the environment, it offers the ability to refuse house keeping to preserve water and energy which shows the values of a great company. This beautiful little oasis is never over crowded and by design, is optimal at muffleing outside noise at night, assuring you will get a peaceful nights rest. It is strategically located within 20 minutes of anything you'd wish to do in San Diego and a 5 minute drive from elegant La Jolla Cove which offers upscale dining and retail options. If you've been to SoCal multiple times or this is your first voyage, the Holiday Inn La Jolla will balance budget along with exceptional, world-class service. My room had been nearly renovated and it was good. Extremely large room. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was adequate each morning. The few staff members that I interacted with were all helpful and polite. Location of the hotel couldn't be better. Very short walk to truly beautiful beaches. Hotel pool was small but well maintained. Great option to stay in the area.
