Mold on walls in bathroom says pet friendly but was harassed about where I had a dog. Mainly at the front door which goes right next to the dining area. I was told that the dog could not be in the dining area.

Everyone here was very friendly and helpful. We were traveling with our dogs and would go here again if we are in this area. Only reason to not give them 5 stars is because locatiin is on a very busy street.

My husband and I were checked into a room on the second floor while with a tour group visiting Savannah. When we walked in, we noticed cigarette ashes on the ventilation unit even though there are signs all over the lobby area declaring it a 100 percent non-smoking facility. We informed the front desk as we had to leave for dinner reservations and a show with the tour. We were informed that someone would clean them up in about 30 minutes. When we returned at about 11pm, the ashes had been wiped off the unit and onto the floor. Being late, we decided to just go to bed since we had to be out early the next day. I climbed into bed and my foot hit something that turned out to be a latge piece of calloused skin under the sheets. I had to sleep in a bed with my husband which was too small for two adults. Aside from the ashes and skin, there was trash under the dresser and the room smelled badly of cigarette smoke and urine. When we spoke to the manager the next morning, she said it was a newly hired chamber maid who prepared the room. No apology was offered, and we left swearing to never set foot in another La Quinta. We had a bad experience in another one up north and would not have stayed in this filthy hole had we known before hand. I take back my one star. I have pictures.

I was skeptical about staying at a La Quinta Inn as I had never stayed at one. I was pleasantly surprised. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The friendly staff called me by name and were overwhelmingly gracious. Everything was great. We had a wonderful stay.

My husband & I were here to celebrate my Birthday & Anniversary the week of 9/15/17.We arrived that day & stayed on the 1st floor. The room #110 had an old odor smell & the next morning my husband saw a roach crawling on the wall near the lamp by the tv. We were then moved to a different room #103 on the first floor on 9/16/17 & the next morning 9/17/17 my husband saw another roach crawling on the bathroom wall. We were then moved to a different room#208 on the 2nd floor & the next morning on 9/18/17 my husband saw a roach crawling on the wall. I have proof of videos of all 3 scenarios. My husband & I will never stay here ever again it was really an inconvience to move to 3 different rooms in 3 days. Also the free continental breakfast wasn't all that goodI recommend if you like roaches stay here if not please don't it will make your skin crawl & everywhere you turn you think you will see a roach My husband & I have reported the complaints to GM Supervisor & had to pay $81for 1 night & was compensated for 2 nights. Can you believe after all this happened they never sent an exterminator out to spray the roomsThey said they will send someone out when we finally returned room keys & left to go to our final destinationPLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE IT IS DISGUSTING & ROACH INFESTED!

We had a great time! The La Quinta Savannah Southside was in a good location for us to easily access Downtown Savannah (20 minutes) and Tybee Island (30 minutes). The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean & comfortable. Best part, pets stay for free – What a great business model :)

I was really surprised at how clean it smelled! The room was very clean. Staff was super friendly even at 12am when we finally got there!! If we're ever back down there with our fur babies or not I'll consider staying at this one again. I'll give it 5 star rating.

Switched to this hotel from Midtown and ecstatic that me and my wife did. Midtown was horrible but the rooms here are clean and the air is breathable unlike Midtown where you need a mask walking into your room. Aside from the complementary breakfast which leaves a lot to be imagined, this hotel is in a great location, has comfy beds, cold A/C and quiet rooms.

Room was clean and comfortable, the price was great, and the location was easily accessible. Kayla from the front desk was also very friendly and willing to help, and made some solid recommendations about places to visit. Great stay!

There were roaches in the room. Facilities were dated the toilet did not flush adequately and the rooms were not vacuumed during our stay service was very mediocre. Will not stay here again i only wanted to give it two stars and that would be for location

Great stay and will stay again. This hotel is the only place that we stay at during our travels to Savannah. It is in a great location to the mall, SCAD campus, and Hwy 16. This is definitely a great place to lodge after a long drive and staffs are always friendly upon arrival.

It did the job for the night but there were 3 bugs. I believe roaches. Didn't get close enough to see. Just smashed them so whatever they were, they'd be dead. Kayla at the front desk was great 👍. She gets 5 stars. It's considered a 3 star hotel? Nah. I've stayed at better 2 star hotels. Idk about La Quinta again.

The hotel customer service was fairly average. As for the rooms, they seemed clean and comfortable over all with the exception of the shower curtains of which emitted the distinctive scent of mildew and had a slightly stained appearance. The hallways smelled of a disgruntling smoke odor. On a brighter note, the pillow mint was a breath of fresh air. The breakfast bar was fairly basic, but the staff running it were very kind and accommodating.
