This hotel is advertised “pet friendly” as a marketing tool to attract customers and upon check in they change a $100 “pet fee”. I was surprised by this fee because it was not explained when I booked the room online. The policy is hidden somewhere in their website, but the charge never shows up during reservation. This is the kind of trick the worst tour agents do.
Hidden fees. When your family is waiting in the car and you do not have any other options.
I then got connect to their general manager, who failed to explain this, but ended up yelling at me with the front desk lady: “You will never check in if you don’t pay $100!”
I love my pet and I am willing to pay $100. So I did.
Not an honest way to do business. Bad attitude. Marriott needs to fix this. Zero star.
Room is nice, up to Marriott standard from a long time customer. Five stars on that.
Overall three stars. I’m not coming back.
Loud noise all night from the road. Windows are not adequate , noise kept all of us awake all night. Complains on this issue have been reported again and again before, yet management does not seem interested fixing the problem. The double pane window on right in our room was non functioning ( the one on the right side with obvious moisture inbetween two glass layers) .Guess the hotel is not willing to invest in a new window which would buffer the street noise. Rather let people pay for listening to the "racetrack" road downstairs. I booked a suite with your hotel to sleep after a day sightseeing. Yet me and my guests where not aloud to sleep because of lack of maintenance. This is not acceptable. I will file a report also to Marriott in Bethesda to look into this neglect .
I can't think of anything that failed to my expectations. Breakfast was fine the room clean and furnished surprisingly well. I only spent about 120 and got a bed couch desk and kitchen. Full size fridge too.
This place was great. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were incredibly friendly. They offered wine, beer, and snacks between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. What a treat!
We recently stayed here after Hurricane Irma, just for a get away. The staff was Outstanding. The room was spacious and very nice, I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend the hotel to everyone. Not far from the attractions, but out away from downtown. I will stay there again
A very pleasant stay for the (work) week. A simple mobile check in made grabbing my keys quickly when I checked in. The rooms are great and the kitchen is a really nice feature. Clean rooms and clean facility. My only compliant is poor parking. Having to park at another hotel is a huge inconvenience. Otherwise, excellent.
As far as this location. I highly recommend it. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and facilities were clean and in good repair. The dinning room and breakfast were really good. Good location as well.
We love Marriott. Not just the hotels, but the Corp. All their affiliates. We called our usual place in Savannah and the rate was double ($237) what we usually paid. (High season) The lady called and gave us two cheaper locations. We ended up with a two bedroom suite with living room for $69. That's how to run a business.
Hotel is next to a busy street that is very loud. Kept us up all night. Rooms, service, and breakfast were excellent. Pool and hot tub were clean and well-maintained, and both pool and hot tub have handicap accessible chair lifts (very pleasantly surprised to see this). When we arrived we asked for two pack n plays for our twins. They were already in the room and set up (with sheets) by the time we made it to the room with luggage! Wow! Really the only downside to this hotel is the street noise, so bring a white noise machine.
Doing renovations. Very modern and nice. Staff is very friendly.
Nice and clean place. out door fire pit and BBQ all gas and some of the most helpful and friendly staff in the state will stay again next time in town
Great extended stay hotel. Friendly staff and close to a ton of restaurants. I'd definitely stay here again.
Pretty standard Residence Inn. Clean and comfortable. Maybe could use a little updating. Staff is friendly. Evening socials are fun. Breakfast is good. Uber to River Street about $8, so pretty convenient.
Room price was fair, especially for such as good location near Savannah.
My stay was wonderful. The only issue I had was somehow a baby gecko ended up in my bathroom but once we alerted the front desk they immediately sent someone up and everything was fixed. The room was very clean and I love the decor. I stay at Marriots a lot when I travel and this one was in my Top 5! Great hospitality, very clean, 3 thumbs up from me!
