This la Quinta is really cool because of its location in the heart of San Diego's Mission Valley. But more importantly La Quinta is the only chain that I know of Nationwide that accepts your dog with no problem no deposit no questions. For that they get 5 stars love you La Quinta B cuz I love my dog

It felt very safe, and was still very affordable. Nice clean room, good decor. Some minor details kept it from getting 5 stars like the coffee pot is located in a place that made it impossible to use without unplugging it to pull it out, fill, then plug it back in. Pet friendly which was perfect. Do NOT order from Order Inn which has menus in the rooms but isn't run by LA Quinta. It was an absolutely horrible experience which you can read about in my other reviews. I've stayed at quite a few La Quinta's recently and they have all been good experiences and very affordable and pet friendly which is a must for us.

The room was clean and comfortable. I couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms; after 10pm even the noise from the freeway was fairly quiet. I would actually rate this hotel at 4.5the staff was professional and courteous, and the fitness room was comfortable and not crowded. However, there were no towels in the fitness room. The breakfast was pretty good, with typical offerings (eggs, sausage, waffles, cereals, etc.). The only complaint is that the scrambled eggs were in what looked like liquid butter. I took those off the top that looked a little dryer. I would recommend this hotel.

A fast and efficient check in. A lovely room with all the amenities. A fridge and coffee maker. Comfortable bed. Power shower. Plenty of room for unpacking suitcases. A delicious breakfast with lots of choices.. You can even make your own waffles. Located off the freeway it is easy to get too and there are a few restaurants within walking distance. It needs to be made more clear on the website that you have to pay for parking

This is an older La Quinta and at first we were not convinced, but the service staff is excellent. The room was always clean and well stocked, breakfast was good and everything was in working order. The beds were comfy as La Quinta beds always are (which is why we generally choose La Quinta).

My mother stayed in a handicap room which worked well. We had planned on having my daughter stay with her, but the pull out bed (couch) was horrible so she stayed in our room. That is something to keep in mind if you are handicapped and traveling with a caregiver.

Overall we had a good experience with this hotel and would stay here again. It lost a star because parking is extremely tight which is difficult if you are driving a larger vehicle (we had a Dodge Durango). Next time we need to remember to bring our handicap placard when we travel!

Stayed in room 303. Room was nice and tidy upon entrance and staff members were easy to speak to. Free breakfast was a great service that was offered and provided a nice boost to my family before heading out for the day.

Although I have only delivered pizzas to customers/hotel guests and have never stayed here myself, my visits to this property have always been pleasant. It is always very clean and the staff is quite friendly and helpful. The only issue that can be a bit of a nuisance is the parking: there is plenty of it but the lane to get to the different parts of the parking area is pretty tiny and if you're driving a big SUV or truck, then it can be a tad difficult to navigate in such a tight space. But like I said there's plenty of parking and if you're a skilled enough driver than there's no issue whatsoever. I don't know how the price compares to other hotels in the area but I know that this is one I would look into if I was coming to visit and already knew a little bit about the immediate area around the hotel. It's very centrally located and has easy access to freeways which will take you anywhere in San Diego.

The location of the hotel was great! We were a few minutes away from the San Diego Zoo, and places to eat. The rooms were nice, but a little small. We got a bunk bed suite which come with two rooms, but there was no door to separate the bedroom which we didn't like. The room was a bit humid even with the cooler running. The pool was small, not what I saw in the pics, but it was still nice. Breakfast was great! The people at the front desk were very helpful. I would stay here again.

The front desk people were very nice and helpful. I appreciated the spaciousness of the room, the amenities offered and their reasonable prices. This is a good place for families traveling with pets. Due to this however, the hotel seems run down and in need of some room maintenance. The couch had a few stains and it smelled like dog. there was a dog hair on the towel on the sink. (we just didnt use that one but the others were fine). The shower knob was lifting off the wall a bit and no matter how tightly i turned, it never stopped dripping completely. The bedroom area was clean and comfortable however. You do hear people passing by the hallway and windows (dogs barking, kids running) so its not soundproofed but if you're going to get up by 8am and be ready to go, it won't affect you.

Door latch had been ripped off the wall an not replaced. Came completely off the door. Didn't feel as secure as it should be, although the deadbolt worked fine. Door was not sealed against the frame, someone slipped a menu for takeout under the door because it was that much of a gap. Room was alittle dated. Upsides, came with microwave an mini fridge, shower stayed hot for awhile, has iron an board for clothes. Bed was fairly comfortable as well. Also it's not super far from particular tourist sites, downtown, gaslamp, sunset cliffs.

The hotel is located near a freeway next to auto circle but otherwise relatively safe. They do charge parking($10) if you park in their lot but there's plenty of street parking even on a Friday night. Room was spacious and clean though a bit old and some things show wear and tear. Room was towards end of building and was quite a walk from the elevator. Breakfast room was large and had quite a few options, and best of all complimentary. Overall good place to stay at.

This is a clean inexpensive place to stay for pretty easy access to mission beach and sea world. Lots of good places to eat and shop very close. Free continental breakfast is about what you would expect. Very much like a school cafeteria food. We prefer to eat elsewhere.

The room we got was not great. The bathroom door did not close all the way and they placed a table and chairs in front of the closet, so you can't open the closet door. But the room was clean and had a fridge and microwave, so that was nice. The Breakfast Hall is really nice. And their breakfast is one of the nicer ones we've had. Scrambled and hard boiled eggs, waffles, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, sausage, muffins as well as coffee and an assortment of juices (orange and cranberry). The breakfast for us made up for the below-average room.
