If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can get one at HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around
A pleasant and polite girl at the front desk greeted me and took out the map and explained the amenities such as the hair salon and their wonderful pool area.
Average sized room, good size bathroom and a great TV channel selections. The bed is firm to medium and the room is clean. There are upgraded finishes marble counter tops, hair products and natural stone tops on the nightstands. There is Wolfgang Puck Coffee at the ready.
I did venture down to the pool area, it's heated, lots of space and a surplus of chaise chairs. Thankfully it's a nice quiet location without music, great place to relax and read a book.response / report this review -

A nice hotel in hotel circle in SD. The staff was nice. The rooms seemed like they could use a update but they were clean and maintained. The pool area was nice and they have a small gym there too. Great location

Great for Friday 750 lounge Jazz night! Good eats & drinks, Ask for free parking to music/bar. Early, fills up quickly, lots of local talent: 5pm-7pm.

The location is prime with easy access to the freeway and lots of great places to shop and eat.

Stayed here one night for a Coldplay concert. An older resort type feel, with an excellent pool area. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with a comfy, spacious bed. Wolfgang Puck coffee was a pleasant surprise. Front desk was helpful and courteous at both check-in and check-out. Ample parking with freeway access was a definite plus. I’d recommend this hotel for an overnight stay or quick weekend getaway. Overall, a great value.

We got checked in fairly early and they were very accommodating with no problems. So far we have had great service having luggage checked when I didn't feel like going to my room. We then took the shuttle to Denny's and back, it has been great service!

Definitely an older resort and could use some updates. With that being said most rooms have a private balcony which is nice along with a well kept pool area. It has a '60's vibe which I like, such as detached 2 story buildings and indoor/outdoor corridors, landscaping is nice and staff has been very friendly. For the deal we got, $99 a night including parking (normally $14 a night) and breakfast for 2 each morning (normally $36) we would definitely stay here again!

Worst experience ever! Stayed here for the weekend for my boyfriends cousins wedding. They had set a specific rate for people to stay here and when we tried making a reservation we had to call a bunch of times as the person in charge was never there or would not return our call. Finally when we spoke to someone they told us we had called too late and that they were all booked up for that "block" of rooms they had and could give us a discounted price of $189.00 a night. We finally decided to share a room with one of our family members that had 2 beds. I'm so glad we did that because the experience was not the best, room was tight and the bathroom was tiny, no counter space at all. We found a used white flip flop on top of the closet, and a cigarette butt on the floor! Overall I'm not impressed at all, the lobby was nice but the rooms are old and dirty. I would not recommend this to anyone I know and will not be staying here again!

Hotel was nice enough. Room was clean. Kids enjoyed the pool. Service was excellent! Only complaint was that we stayed on the 2nd floor and there are NO ELEVATORS! That made things rather difficult. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel to friends. The price was great too!

Good hotel for the cost. We got a basic, continental breakfast included. Room was smaller but clean and the bed was great. Pool is clean and very nice. Took us a bit of time getting to the convention center, but worth it for the cost and value.

The Handlery Hotel was beautiful, clean, and staff was professional. I was there for a day long seminar and the rooms and chairs were comfortable. Had lunch in their restaurant The servers were kind, food was delicious (I had the BLT - honestly the best BLT I've had), and reasonably priced.

Really nice rooms for a great price. Actually at check-in I got better price than I expected. Did not try the pool or the breakfast. Staff 2 very friendly and helpful. Parking WAS free when I stayed there.

My husband and I just returned to Canada after a weeks stay at the Handlery. The rooms were very comfortable and clean.The staff were of great assistance, especially Jesus. This server was excellent, he made us feel very welcome and went out of his way to do this. We will remember him. The location was central to many activities that we wanted to see. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

The hotel is in a great location near restaurants and stores. The very large pool and hot tub are also a great feature. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Also a great place for weddings and meetings they have a large banquet department. My second stay here and I would stay again.

Stayed on main floor across from the pool. Room was clean and bright and comfortable. Overlooked the pool with sliding doors and a private seating area. Host was really nice and all the staff is friendly. Would definitely stay here the next time I come to San Diego for a visit. Oh and the bed was so comfortable.
