Convenient location near the airport. Very helpful staff. Quality of the rooms, so-so, but you're getting what you pay for, because they have great rates, free WiFi was good, cleanliness was good. Overall impressed, didn't have a chance to try the pool, but it looked nice :)
One of the less pleasant experiences we've had recently at a hotel. Upon checkin we found a bed bug in the room. We immediately checked out at which time the GM called and connected us to the corporate risk department which I guess is protocol. This was the most unpleasant part of the whole charade - I was basically made to feel as though I was extorting La Quinta over this experience. I was first asked by this risk person "what I wanted?" I was then asked why I didn't just move rooms? She was unfriendly and unprofessional.
After several unpleasant phone calls she reluctantly told me that they would pay the difference between the hotel we ultimately stayed in and this hotel. The goal was never to collect a check, but I thought it would have been in good form to maintain my business and pay for my other hotel, especially as I do have status at this hotel in their points program.
I understand that this is unfortunately a call I'm sure they regularly get. But bed bugs are a health and safety issue and a huge liability for hotel guests as well as the hotel itself. I was appalled by how this was handled at the corporate level (especially after the front desk staff and GM had been so apologetic). I do not recommend La Quinta and will never in the future recommend La Quinta.
Very comfortable beds, is clean and bathroom is pretty big. Easily accessable ice and vending machines. Fitness rooms and guest laundry facilities are well kept and equipment in good condition. Breakfast are amazing because you can make your own plate, including waffles! I cant eat a whole one, so I could make a quarter waffle and was happy I did not waste food! A variety of bread is available for toasting, great oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, milk, OJ, Apple Juice, hot coffee, and fruit are also available. The only bummer is that they don't stock the fridge with real butter. They use some kind of hydrogenated palm and soybean oil with butter flavoring. But real cream cheese is available since bagels are also a breakfast choice for guests. I stayed at this hotel twice and both times, the service was perfect! nice inviting outdoor courtyard and this hotel's convenient proximity to Denny's if you're hungry for something other than breakfast!
For the price they r decent but definitely not a clean place. My bed sheets had black stains and the carpet looked liked it was never steamed washed for over 10 years. The room that I've had smelled like smoking. Sink doesn't drain and the ac and heater didn't work properly if I try to change the temperature. Would not recommend unless you have no choice.
Staff was very friendly and helpful and it is very close to the airport but that's all the good things I can say. It didn't feel safe, there was a large raucous crowd in the lobby all evening and people skateboarding down the halls in the morning. Very disappointing after other La Quinta experiences, maybe it's good compared to the other airport hotels.
Honestly pretty frustrating experience here. I have stayed at other locations and they have all been lovely, but this was I could do without. There was a "security guard" walking around the premises taking pictures of all the cars in the parking lot at 10pm when I arrived. When my partner arrived at 4am, he was STILL out there taking pictures of all the cars. The front desk staff was rude to my partner, refusing to give him a key even though they had specifically told me earlier it would not be a problem. The bathroom sink was clogged, and there was white powder all over the floor. We left an item there and when we called back at once, they told me that housekeeping just gets rid of everything. Just not helpful, not cleaned well, and an overall bad experience.
The staff was very friendly, helpful. The carpets thou need a very good cleaning, our was pretty stained but everything else was good. The beds are comfy and the pool is nice. I would definitely come back if ever in the area
I am not a picky traveler by any means. The staff here is great. Very professional. The place itself is quite run down. Not necessarily a problembeds are comfortable. Rooms are very small. The problemand the three stars is cleanliness. Carpet had not been vacuumed and the shower had hair that wasn't mine! I didn't try the breakfast or pool so can't rate that. Great location to airport and a Denny's in the parking lot.
La Quinta Inn Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Dr. was a nice hotel. It was quiet, but near the airport and intestate, so they're was loud noise. The rooms were clean, but has some issues with the smell of cigarette smoke and chlorine. Overall I'll give it a 6.8 out of 10.
Awesome place in terms of location, staff, and service for the price being charged.
Had to hike to second floor, nothing special for the room, but price was good. Workers were nice, and other people staying there seemed down to earth. The price here was amazing. Location not bad if you are exploring Tempe.
Starting at checkin at 8pm.room wasn't cleaned and it was the only one available as they were booked. Next, neither of the keys workedhad to go back to have keys remade. Exterior of the building is very dirty. Room interior was better but maybe a 3 star at best.
We got a room with two beds. The beds were doubles and comfy, but very small. Would probably be fine for kids, not for adults. Ron was clean. Breakfast was decent, but not a lot of protein options, just hard boiled eggs. I would stay there again, but I might look for a different hotel at that same price point.
