My room was in side b, no idea if there is a difference from side a. But despite being under construction rooms were pretty good. Beds were comfortable, I would go back.

The hotel I stayed at was under renovation, and it seemed that they were improving it. I had a nice breakfast the morning of the day that I checked out. It was relaxing and my stay was enjoyable.

Absolutely avoid this hotel, booked a 2 night stay to visit the theme parks, entered to find the room with at least 5 cockroaches openly running around the bathroom. Front desk said they were full and recommended we "stay the night" and "sort it out in the morning." Seeing as the room was infested, we found a different hotel last-minute. The major issue is we only received a partial refund. We stayed for less tham 1 hour from checking in to leaving because this management can't handle their bug problem and they want to charge us? Attempted to contact management for over a week now and every day for the past 10 days we're told no manager is available and whoever this mystery manager is will call us back. Icing on the cake is we never received any call. Don't waste your time or money, book elsewhere.

They are under a new owner and going through a remodel. That said I love the modern color scheme. The beds are amazing. My room had a fridge that actually was cold and a microwave. The staff are friendly and readily help. All and all a great value right outside the gate of Universal Studios Orlando. Oh and free breakfast too.

The hotel has two buildings and one is under renovation - it should have been completely CLOSED while being renovated, rather than trying to continue accommodating guests. The construction dumpsters and construction crew vehicles are using up parking spaces that are needed when the hotel is at or near capacity. Further, the temporary lobby should have been completed prior to diverting guests. Not very professional; poorly planned.

Also, in terms of the issues that we specifically had in our room, the A/C system had a very foul odor (smelled like urine). Front desk was advised, and she said she would try to find another room to move us to.but that she couldn't be sure that another room might not have the same issue! Sent maintenance up instead, and he said he would replace the A/C. We had to leave to attend an event, and when we returned, we had another A/C. First night seemed okay with no noticeable odor, however the A/C didn't seem to have a working thermostat, as it ran ALL NIGHT without ever shutting off (pretty chilly when we woke up). And by the second night, the odor was back. If we hadn't been exhausted after a very long day, AND leaving the next morning, I would have complained again, and insisted on moving to a new room. Instead, I slept with the sheet over my face, got up early and checked out.

An advance warning that ALL of the nearby streets and interstate access points are under construction would be GREAT information to have BEFORE arriving to check in. If I had known, I would have selected another LaQuinta in a different area of town.

Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at and I've had many to choose from. They are currently undergoing renovation, so there is a chance they will improve. The elevator didn't work, there was a dirty mattress in the staircase and the breakfast served stale bread and soggy sausage.

We came with group of 13 from our church. We had reservations for 6 rooms to accommodate our group. We were so pleased to see that we were all in the same hallway.

We all appreciated the new carpet-less flooring. The rooms were clean, roomy, well-maintained and modern. There were a lot of outlets available for our tablets, smartphones, etc. (Kudos for the good attention to details such as this.)

Our complimentary breakfast was excellent. We were pleased to see a good variety of foods to include fresh fruits, meat, etc. There were waffle irons for making fresh waffles, as well.

We wouldn't hesitate to make reservations here for group traveling (or just for ourselves) in the future.

We were at this hotel for 4 nights and we had a large group with several rooms. The hallway carpets are dirty. The rooms have roaches and the cleaning staff is not tip top. The front desk clerks for day and night were very nice and apologetic for our inconvenience. The breakfast was ok, but it was very close to the park so that was a good thing. And the price was good. So Beware if you don't mind bugs crawling in your room I guess it will be good for you.

Stayed here with my sister for a weekend while visiting Universal. It is a perfect affordable place to stay within walking distance of the park (about 20 min). The rooms are clean and staff was very nice. Free WiFi and breakfast!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The fridge in the room didn't work and the shower did not drain properly. Otherwise, the room was clean. The breakfast service was well stocked and the staff was especially helpful during. The pool outside was nice to swim in.

Rooms were recently renovated and check in was easy. They have a good breakfast and the hotel is very close to Universal. However we did find some small bugs in the room, in the drawers and bathroom. Other than that it is good for a short stay.

Got a first floor king bedroom. The room is very large with the bed, sofa, desk and dresser. The floor is a nice new hardwood floor. The room is clean and updated. There was plenty of parking space. It's a few minute drive to universal studios. Dogs stay free, we brought our dog and they are very welcoming. Breakfast was kind of lacking. Waffles, fruit, sausages, plain bagels and toast. Internet pretty fast.

hotel is decent for the price point. You can walk to Universal Studios. Still not that far from WDW. Pet friendly. I have to say the most impressive person working there is the woman running the breakfast every morning. She is on top of her game - helping with making the waffles, finding open tables for people, constantly one step ahead of everything.
