Perfect place! Close enough to Universal to walk comfortably. Staff was very helpful, felt terrible for them having to work at Christmas, but their mood was great, and everyone seemed to be in the spirit! 5 stars! Will be coming back! Oh! And the restaurants on property can’t say enough good things! Great food.. great timing of everything. Breakfast was perfect and Paul at the American Grill.. so personable and friendly, great recommendation and he fixed me a perfect Mudslide! Merry Christmas!

The hotel's design itself is beautiful and the rooms are kept in really good shape. No appliances were broken and the beds felt amazing. The breakfast is surprisingly really good and the room service is what you'd usually expect it to be. The area of the Hotel is perfect if you're trying to go to the various amusement parks in the area, just make sure to beat the Disney traffic. Overall a really great experience for the low amount it costs. Would highly recommend. 😊👌

Great staff. Even when there were complications with my reservation they handled everything in a timely manner. Rooms were clean and well maintained and overall staff was very accommodating. Even for one night I would highly recommend to stay here. Where professionalism is evident as soon as you walk in.

Great hotel. Clean, smells nice, great entrance, but, and it's a big couple of buts you have to pay to park. This wasn't disclosed to us when we made the reservation and for what we paid it seems like it should have been included. $20 a day additional fee to park means we should have simply taken another uber here and perhaps saved the money. They also didn't have our room ready, which is marginally negative seeing as to how we arrived at 1pm, but that negative is over come by them being a toys for tots collection point and that's a charity I really enjoy supporting.

Additional note; they have a shuttle to the nearby area, BUT, it only runs after 4pm. So, the recommended restaurants, which I expect to review in a bit, are a 20 min walk away; far to far in the Orlando sun, even if it is December.

Overall: 4 stars. I will update if the beds change my mind later one way or another.

Been here several times on business. The staff is always friendly. The accommodations are average. Their new patio is nice and the fire pit would be a great place to gather around with friends or family. The location is the biggest seller here, and has several restaurants within walking distance.

This is a great hotel, I recommend it as an option to stay near Universal Studios. The hotel location is convenient. Located near restaurants and a 15 minute walk to Universal Studios. The rooms are spacious, well maintained and very clean. The staff was very friendly, and provided great service.

Super convenient to the park! Nice rooms and lots of options for food and drinks. Shuttle is an asset, however it doesn't run as often as others. Only detractor is that some of the non-smoking rooms smell like they used to be smoking rooms, but this is a very subtle thing. Enjoy it!

Firstly the valet staff are rather rude at this location, to which shocked me so I used self parking instead.
On arrival the front desk staff who checked me in seemed rather disinterested, though the check in was a smooth process.
The Hotel itself is good and the room we had was beautiful with pleasant views, though no upgrade as a Hilton member.
To the best part about this stay, the Breakfast staff are amazing the omelette bar one of the best I have experienced in America ! The lady serving us at the omelette bar was so polite and friendly such a pleasant start to the day.

Great location for visiting Universal. Staff was super friendly. The room was nice and clean. Only downside was the shower, the bathroom seemed to be newly updated, but the shower had peeling grout and old tile. Nothing that would stop me from coming back. Great experience

Octavius who checked us in and out was great. Rooms were very nice and reasonably spacious. The wait staff at the American grill were great and the food was good, but a little overpriced (as much as expected). The long island iced teas were great. Bell service was good. Very nice pool with towel service. Breakfast buffet was very good and includes omelette station. Great setup for Universal studios and inexpensive can to gate. Great room price and great location. If in the area would stay there again.

Nice Modern hotel extremely close to attractions such as Universal. I visited the DoubleTree for a convention in March 2017. From what i experienced the rooms were clean and orderly. The hotel has a calm contemporary design. The spaces provided met my needs and that of the convention.

The hotel is clean, and the beds are comfortable. The pool area is also nice, though they need more chairs. The issues I had were with our particular room. First, the door seemed to be too small for its frame, so it let in a lot of light and A LOT of noise. The ice maker, which was across the hall, woke me up several times my first night. For some reason, I could hear water running pretty much constantly, but it wasn't coming from my bathroom. Finally, the room had annoyingly bright night lights that my husband had to block by stacking extra pillows on top of the desk chair. I'd give this hotel another chance in another room, though. You really can't beat the location without staying inside Universal itself. And the cookie you get when you check in is delicious.

Perfect if you want to plan a trip to Universal while saving a little money. Great location obviously driving and walking distance from the park. This hotel probably had the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. The bed was clean and comfortable too. There is a large pool in the back if you want to relax and go swimming. I would definitely stay here again.

As a Hilton Honors Member, the DoubleTree hotel chain is usually one of my favorites. I've visited locations all over the Unites States for work and I have begun to enjoy staying while traveling for leisure recently. We frequent Orlando and we usually do not have any problem staying at this hotel. The last time we visited a couple of weeks ago I checked in and expected a one king bed standard room. They told me they were out of them although I booked and confirmed my stay a full month ahead of time, they put me in a double queen room for the duration of my stay.

Do not order room service at this location. It costs more at this one than it does at most other locations. Also, this location is surrounded by wonderful restaurants.

Other than the room mix up and the $19 parking per day, this location is lovely.
