Not satisfied. The service, the facility and the overall experience was nothing like I was expecting. The sauna was moldy. Staff kept walking through the relaxation room and I got to hear more than a couple clients complaining over the phone about unfilled requests. The hotel seems nice tho.
Lovely hotel just outside old town Alexandria marred by a disaster of a restaurant (overpriced and overcooked. Used to be associated with Robert Wiedermeyer but really just bad now)
I liked this place as the staff was friendly and that place well kept. Overnight parking will run you 32 which is reasonable for the area. They allow pets.
Awesome hotel right on king street in old town. Got to see inside when i had family in from out of town. Great location near the metro and has a king street shuttle stop out front. Very walkable to the best shops and resturaunts old town has to offer. The rooms themselves were also very nice and spacious.
I really liked this place. Nice rooms with great ambience. Located in Old Alexandria and close to many other hotels and restaurants. Only two blocks to the Metro train station. Well worth the price and I highly recommend.
The Kimpton Lorien Hotel and Spa was a beautiful hotel to visit. I attended a wedding in at the hotel over the weekend and a had a pleasant experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and were a pleasure to deal with. The event rooms were small but cozy and personal and the food was decent.
Best booking decision I've ever made! Beautiful accommodations and rooms. Complimentary coffee in the am and a glass of wine to welcome you back after a long day of sightseeing. My husband and I enjoyed dinner at their Brabo Tasting Room and is was AMAZING. To top it off when the hotel found out we were celebrating our anniversary, they surprised us with strawberries and champagne! A truly Class A hotel! I can't recommend it more!!
I was here on business and for a retirement dinner recently. It is set back off of the street and can be a little hard to find the entrance at first. Which actually is a nice thing as it is off a busy street. Once inside it was cozy and quaint. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner here as well as a cocktail hour and everything was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and the spaces were all very comfortable. I didn't get a chance to stay in a room but I'd go back again for a night if the chance came up.
I loved my experience here. Although they may have been extra attentive because it was my first visit, I really doubt it after seeing them interact with every other guest. They've helped me with any request I have made and even did things I didn't think to ask to make my stay more special. I hope I get the chance to book with them again.
This hotel was very clean and the staff was very attentive. However in my opinion the place is overpriced. Compared to other hotels in the area and location it is overpriced and the hotel isn't as nice as the pictures make it out to look.
Nice hotel in a great location with a friendly staff. Wine hour at night is a great touch. Complimentary coffee in the am was delicious. Will stay here again.
Room with crappy double beds despite being a romantic weekend. Was not told at front desk that room was two double beds. Bathroom was very basic-honestly just a room. Room was attached/connected to two other rooms so absolutely zero privacy.
These are kids rooms. Should NEVER pay for these rooms.
Lobby nice. But valet stand was full and could never find even a place to check in.
Just could not be more disappointed for the price.
We had a nice, romantic night at Lorien for my wife's birthday. It started off worrisome, as our room wasn't ready, but it turned into an upgrade to a beautiful suite. We nixed our plans to hit up one of the restaurants on King Street, and decided to order room service from Brabo. Food came quickly and in perfect order, and was quite tasty. All of the staff were very polite, friendly and attentive to our needs. We will stay again soon.
