The staff is friendly and knowledgeable to include the front desk and the staff at the Chequers dining area. The rooms are comfortable and the pillows are a perfect compliment to their large comfy beds. The gym is small but has enough dumbells and cardio machines to satisfy your exercise needs. There are one-of-a-kind restaurants and a super market within walking distance. The breakfast buffet foods aren't your run-of-the-mill continental variety, but they have a great selection of healthy and hearty breakfast foods. I love this place!

Staff is courtious and helpful. Room was decent size. Bed was horrible, had a huge 'indent' from previous guests, so it was hard to get a comfortable sleep. Shower constantly cut off and on, leaving me standing there getting cold, waiting for the water to restart. Would not stay there again by choice.

Nice Hotel. Clean rooms. Food is good - the gastro pub also serves good food especially for a hotel. My only knock on the place is their parking. They have two gated (auto arm-lift gates) lots that require you to take a ticket to enter and it costs $20 per overnight parking day. There must be a better way folks.

This hotel in no way rates 3.5 stars. The 4th floor hall and my room smelled strongly of skunk for three days. The carpet in the room was dirty and never vacuumed while I was there. The a/c unit in the room sounded like a freight train every time the compressor came on. No small fridge. No microwave. I would give this a 2.5 stars. Don't be fooled by Priceline's 3.5 star rating. The staff was very nice. Location is great. Parking is $20/night. No restrooms in lobby. You have to walk up three flights of stairs to find a restroom.

Mediocre hotel on the lower end for crowne plaza and the area. Staff was blah, friendly enough but not overly helpful. Elevators stunk. Rooms were standard and met expectations. The price should be lower given the overall quality and are higher just because of the location which is good. I don't think I will be staying here again even if I have to pay a little more. If you are looking for a decent place on the lower end of price scale for this area this is not a terrible option but don't expect too much.

Chef Scott Hoffner is a great new asset to the Crown Plaza in Alexandria. His revamped menu is full of fresh food made with wholesome ingredients. The dishes are American comfort food with a modern twist, all made to order. Presentation is beautiful and makes every dish a pleasure to the eye and the palate. I would definitely recommend the restaurant of the Crowne Plaza in Alexandria.

Really nice place to stay and relax for a few days. The views are amazing. The rooms are very big and can fit a lot of stuff and they are comfortable The environment of people was very nice, staff was friendly and the front desk was always asking and attentive if everything was fine. If you are also looking for a romantic place this is a really cool place.. .

The location is great. Just down the road to King Street, the heart of Old Town with a free shuttle to get you there. Decent rooms, friendly staff and a great view of the river.

The room was good, as was the service. However, there were a few drawbacks. The beds were quite stiff, the breakfast in the morning was not plentiful. Our bathroom gave us the worst experience. Compared to others in the hotel and even those on our floor, our bathroom was half the size of every other bathroom. The WiFi connected, but was pretty much worthless. To end on a positive note, the room was very clean upon return, even with our messy living space we left behind. The thermostat worked well, and the room kept it's temperature. Overall, I would give the hotel a 6 out of 10. While an excellent place for a night or two, but if for more than this, one should reconsider.

We stayed here for a vision impaired convention. The staff was so wonderful! Very helpful & kind. They even put white tape on the edge of the steps to help make them more visible. The food in the pub was great, the service was great! Your hotel has a staff that is very welcoming & a joy to be around. I feel everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were happy! Thanks so much for a great stay!
PS, Love your shuttle drivers, everyone of them!

This hotel has nice clean rooms & staff was friendly & helpful. The room has good amenities. The location was perfect. Close to restaurants so you can walk. It's right on the water. You can take their free shuttle to catch the boat ride that takes you on a tour of the area.
