Great location and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and the food was pretty good too. The only downfall was the parking structure was quite a maze. The band and casino night were a lot of fun and i hope we return to this property. Next time i would like to stay here and take advantage of its great location.
We came in quite late, exhausted from travelling all day. Darnell was the front desk agent that checked us in. He was so kind and engaging with my boyfriend's son, Dante. He made us feel very welcome. His customer service was exceptional and the Hyatt is very lucky to have such an amazing partner in their hotels.
Great place for a short get away. Amazing location. You can view the Queen Mary from the sea facing rooms. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff were polite and helped us with sightseeing. Only complaint is that they took a long time before giving us our room. Else everything was great.
The hotel is large and has great facilities. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was great, but service could be a bit more attentive. The location is particularly convenient for conferences as it is right next door to the convention centre. There is a shopping mall and plenty of restaurants across the road.
The bed was comfortable and the view was nice. Those are the only positive things I have to say. Otherwise, they didn't have the correct room type I had reserved, there was a motion sensor bright light on the nightstand for the floor that would NOT stop turning off and on, waking me up and forcing me to get out of bed and get one of my bags to cover it. The worst of all? They put me and my teenage son in a room with a GLASS door for the bathroom. It only slightly blurred the bathroom occupant. It was bad enough rounding the corner and seeing my son getting into the shower (yes he's my kid but he's a teenager now and should have privacy, still traumatizing), but if it was the other way around it could have been so much more traumatic. No teen wants to see their parent naked. Customer service was a joke when i complained about it. Also, overpriced and horrible coffee.
Attentive, professional staff sufficiently available. Big property with multiple events often going on at the same time but with multi-floor set up it isn't confusing. Parking garage next to entrance is convenient.
Great location, but only okay rooms. For the room rate, I would expect nicer rooms like included fridges or bigger bathrooms or free water. Kind of like Hyatt Regency Newport Beach.
The food was good and the accommodation to people's dietary quirks was superb, a 10 at every meal. Thank you so much.
The room was adequate, no complaints but no raves either. The art in the room was really stupid and a refrigerator is always a nice amenity. Beds were comfortable and room seemed well insulated from hallway noise. But it was definitely a no frills room. However, cleaning staff were kind and helpful.
Public areas in the hotel were attractive. Conseirege service was very helpful.
Great staff ready and willing to go out of their way to help. You've built a great team and work ethic that is admirable. There was no time when staff weren't ready to do all they could to meet our needs. And that's rare. Kudos!
We stayed here during a convention for our kids dance. We rented a spacious suite that came with the regency club access. Here are the pros and cons:
Pros:
-rooms are good size and king rooms have a sitting area
-pillows are a good mix or hard and soft
-rooms are generally quiet, bathroom is between sleeping area and hallway
-the staff are EXCEPTIONAL from check in to valet to housekeeping
-they have tons of meeting rooms and the proximity to the convention Center is unbeatable
-the regency club is awesome and the staff there are amazing. Good breakfast and drinks all day included, try to get it if you can
Cons:
-bathrooms are very small and the water pressure sucks
-it’s well kept but tired, it’s time for a renovation in the next few years
-the pool is small and not very well maintained (in fact they were dumping a 5 gallon pail of chemical in one day while we were there which was scary as all hell)
-the restaurants are terrible, meaning there are little to no selection of places to eat and they are incredibly slow to seat/serve you. Food is not bad but pretty basic
For the proximity to the convention Center I would recommend this hotel but be aware you need to make alternate food arrangements. They actually wouldn’t seat people at he restaurant one day (despite it being empty) because “the chef needs to catch up”. The staff make up for almost every downside of the hotel in my opinion: they can’t do enough to make sure you are happy.
Super friendly staff. Great views and great location. Comfortable bed and the room was clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here (and have recommended to friends). The only downside I can find is that the room doesn't have a mini fridge or microwave so you're pretty much stuck eating out for every meal, which is not necessarily a bad thing with all the good restaurants nearby. It does add up over a few days though both in terms of $s and calories.
Location is great, right on the water. Also right by plenty of nice restaurants and the beach. Rooms are very nice and staff is friendly. Has all the hotel amenities that you would need
I didn't come to this property very needed when I checked in but the staff and the Palm Suite BLEW ME AWAY!!!!! This hotel has definitely made my list of favorites. Great location, atmosphere, and well kept pool/hot tub area. The rooms were meticulously designed to perfection.
The proximity of the hotel to everything is a huge plus! The upfront hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Views were great as well. Would recommendit's worth it to stay here!
The rooms were very nice and the waiters treated the guests with respect. When a guest called them over, they went over without hesitation. The room where the social event took place was very Spacious, possibly big enough to fit at least 400 people comfortably. The decoration was very luxurious. Everyone who worked there has excellent customer service and answered any question possible.
Paper thin walls so we heard the cheerleaders staying there all night in there rooms and shutting does going back and forth to reach others rooms. The water pressure was SO bad in the shower it almost didn't wash my hair. The room was on the small side but pretty and had a great view. I don't think I remember a coffee maker, but there was definer no microwave, just a good sized fridge. The bed was very comfy, the hotel itself is beautiful and has a beautiful lobby and outside. great location for places to shop and easy walking distance as well. But it disappointed for 320 for the night plus parking. For just a 1bed room
