Nicely renovated but the rooms smell like kitty litter! And, the air conditioning shuts off it it doesn't sense movement. Thankfully it is December but I like a cool, fresh room. Breakfast is nothing special. I will NOT return.
Hotel was designed very nicely and had a great location that was about the only positive things I could say. It is a Marriott hotel however the M club was not open on the weekend. Also there was no late-night food available. Valet is not 24 hours. My husband and I are considered platinum elite as we had our wedding at the Marriott earlier this year, and also hold a Marriott credit card, however this location had absolutely no upgrades or luxury resources to take advantage of with our status.
Attended a work Christmas party here. The venue was nice, if a bit generic, but the location is great and some of the general amenities are really nice (including outside fire pits). The food served was supposed to be fancy, but ended up being prepared sloppily, and many dishes were either dry or too Chewy Suffice to say it was disappointing. Overall the experience was fine.
The hotel staff makes it very obvious that the enjoyment of my stay is their #1 priority. The rooms was very clean and the view was amazing. The area around the hotel is lively and full of things to do with in minutes of walking. The staff was very helpful when I needed medication in pointing me to the nearest pharmacy. Google might be handy but a staff member directing me there was more personal. Just a great experience overall.
Rooms are standard, but nice. Bathrooms are very large and the gym is really nice! It's right next to the convention center and in the middle of the night life.
Love it. Checked in yesterday, just after 1pm. The receptionist was very nice. There was a laugh as we explained that my wife and I had different last names. She explained the local walking area, and made a point to tell us some areas to visit by car. We had an opportunity to try one of the walking place restaurants just after checking in. When we got back to the room, there was a bottle of champagne on ice, and 2 flutes. When we called to find out who sent it, we discovered that the front desk has the ability to provide a complementary treat for one "special" guest daily. Apparently a little friendly banter goes a long way. In addition, our room is nice, with a lovely view of the harbor. Even had a nice chat (in Spanish/Spanglish) with a maid to get different tea for the room. The only nit is that the bed doesn't really suit either of us well. We have similar tastes, so that's not huge.
Excellent Hotel! Big rooms and clean. Service is just wonderful. The lady who checked us is so sweet and helpful. I think her name wad Layla. It was my spouse's 60th Birthday and she made sure that our stay was special and she made it special for us. She was wonderful! We would go back again and enjoy the amenities in the Hotel! This time longer! Thank you Renaissance for making our special event memorable.
We unfortunately had a horrible night at the Queen Mary hotel and were desperate to find a new place to stay to continue our honeymoon; we booked through a third party site. Upon arrival, it was discovered that while we paid the third party they had not confirmed with the actual hotel and our reservation did not exist. Rachel, at the front desk, was so amazing! Not only did she find us a room, as the hotel was almost booked up, but she also was very kind and understanding. She spoke with the third party site and was able to resolve the issue to the point we were able to get our money back from the third party site. Our interactions with Rachel really made a bad day much better! She really went above and beyond!
Excellent service By Steve and Austin, our Bell Man/Valet Professionals. In all the years of travel; these two men went off the charts with service, knowledge, and gratitude. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. The GM should be proud to have such people working for the Renaissance. Thank you so much for making our stay so Awesome!! The hotel itself is very nice, but customer service standards can use some improvement. I was fine with the 60 dollar charge which the lady explained to me would come back to me after I check out the next day if I don't buy anything in the hotel or damage anything. But they never said they charge 24 dollars for self parking garage since I'm a guest at the hotel. So that was deducted from my 60 dollars. She said that the information for the parking should of been on my email conformation for me to see. But I'm sorry I didn't realize that as a guest I need to get all the information about the hotel.. Most places will ask you are parking in our garage tonight. If so we do charge. Or any other important information. Very non customer service staff. I will never visit this property again or recommended anyone to stay here.
Renaissance Long Beach Hotel is without a doubt the classiest hotel in Long Beach. The lobby has exceptional Elegance and the staff is professional from the front desk to the maid service expect what you would expect at any five star hotel. The rooms are spotless the pool he's beautiful and meticulously well kept. The security staff was a bit invasive and intrusive in questions directed towards an adult Entertainer who is the visitor to our room and raise questions about the level of discretion practiced but that is the only complete.
Hotel was quiet and in Great location. Rooms are decent size, cleaning service was wonderful. Can walk to many restaurants and attractions. Also great location for nightlife. Near many beaches as well. Unsure if kid friendly but hotel was very quiet.
Stayed at the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel for Long Beach Grand Prix. Location was convenient for us as it was across the street from the event. Short walk to all the nearby breweries, bars, and restaurants. They have live music scheduled on weekends for their bar/lounge and at least for the LBGP weekend it was a pretty happening spot. The room was clean and provided a good view of downtown Long Beach. Keep in mind if you're staying overnight for events they can charge up to $99+tax for late checkout on event weekends. Valet was $40 for the Grand Prix, normally $30. They have a Starbucks on the first floor for your caffeine fix which was clutch.
Beautiful room accommodations with a very friendly and helpful staff. Conference space was perfect for a small conference. One or two rooms were a bit cold. The quality was definitely what I would expect from a Marriott. My TV went out during my stay, a very happy, friendly man was sent right away to fix it and fix it he did. Clean room and bathroom. Pristine white comforter, sheets and towels. The mattress was a bit lumpy and old, but I was still very comfortable.
