The spa had a tint similar to that of urine. Compared to the completely blue pool, it's definitely been tainted with bodily fluids. The sign explaining that people with diarrhea aren't allowed in the pool doesn't help, either. Every sign has a purpose for being up. It's happened before. If you're here to have a good time, you should definitely choose a different place to reside. Not to mention the rooms were horrid and the "harbor view" was actually the view of a disgusting puddle of sludge and rust on the nearby building's roof.

Definitely not the best Marriott property I've stayed at. Physical condition of the property wasn't all that great, and don't count on internet even if you pay for it. The wireless Internet doesn't work here. However, staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and extremely responsive. James Republic downstairs?.. yes. Breakfast sandwich every day and the coffee I went and found the roaster and bought some to bring to NY. That's how good it is.

The hotel is easy to find. I'm not sure if they've got multiple conference rooms or just one, but the one we were in didn't have any windows. The lack of windows made the room feel smaller and closed off from the world. But they did have complimentary fruit-infused water, which was really nice.

Room was tidy, service was good. Staff was welcoming and friendly. View isn't great, but it is not something you expect to have a great view due to the location. Overall satisfied and would return.

Well, what can I say. This place is like a home away from home. Staff are helpful, polite and super friendly. Rooms are very cozy and clean. Their service was superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

Elegant hotel at a nice and convenient location. In a walking distance to near by beach, Shoreline village. The restaurant James Republic is great, it can have the windows around all open creates a special atmosphere.

Had a great experience booking room blocks for an event. Our coordinator, Michelle H. was also very attentive to our needs and last min adjustments. We booked the corner suite with connecting room. We had a beautiful view of the Queen Mary. Walking distance from downtown nightlife. James Patterson is a restaurant/bar with great ambience attached to the hotel. Self parking was $22 a night. No room service kitchen but plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from. Great sea breeze so we rarely had to use the in room ac.

We visited the hotel restaurant, James Republic, for dinner and drinks with friends staying in the hotel. We were impressed with the food, particularly the pork belly with papaya salad and the grass fed burgers, all prepared with farm to table ingredients. The restaurant itself is airy and open onto a lively area in downtown, and the servers friendly and knowledgeable. It closes surpringly early on a Friday night (11pm) so be prepared!

A beautiful property in a convenient location in downtown Long Beach. Rooms are very well-lot, and lovingly decorated, with very comfortable beds. It also sports a trendy restaurant, in case you need to grab a bite to eat close by. Recommended for all travelers.

Walking into the hotel, it has a nice clean look. Neat spot for the hotel restaurant. The fitness area seems to be pretty small. Our room was mostly clean when we got there - though one of the sheets had a few colored spots on it. Front desk service has been good even if it hasn't been the quickest.

Great hotel, right in the heart of downtown. The decor inside is updated nicely, staff was good. It was a little hard to place where the main entrance was located, but overall great option

We arrived late due to flight delays so it was a short stay! Staff at front desk were very nice and helpful. Arranged our transportation for the next day, etc.. Rooms were nice, clean and quiet. Bed very comfortable. We have found Courtyards to be consistently very good to excellent. This was no exception.
