This hotel is in just across the Hudson from New York City. It is conveniently located near the Exchange Place PATH stop so you can catch the train into NYC. It is nice and clean and the staff is friendly. It has all the usual hotel amenities (bar, restaurant, gym, etc.) There's also a car service downstairs if you need to schedule a ride anywhere.

My biggest complaint is that the bed was very uncomfortable. I had a hard time sleeping through the night and experienced back pain. The bed sank in the middle. I can't speak for every bed in the hotel as I haven't slept on them but the bed I slept on was bad.

In addition to the uncomfortable bed there was noise from the pipes whenever any of the rooms around us would run their water. I also heard noise from the vent in the room but I'm not sure what that was all about.

Overall this is not a bad hotel to stay in if you're coming to town. Just cross your fingers and hope your bed is more comfortable than mine was.

I attended a work event at this hotel. The view is pretty fantastic, the location is hard to beat (literally next door to the PATH train and a block away from the light rail). Valet parking, responsive staff, and the nice decor made it a pretty good experience.

Super expensive. Room was very nice but no food available. Tried to go to the bar and I couldn't believe how miserable the service was. I walked up to the bartender and asked for a beer only to be turned away to sit at a table and wait for the server staff. Took 5 minutes to even get a menu and he never came back!!!! We finally gave up and walked to a liquor store. When we got back the menu was still sitting at the table.

this was a great place to stay, the kids loved it. cheaper than staying in NYC, and you get the perfect view. parking prices were pretty high, but you can walk right out the lobby door and be on the train and in NYC in only a few minutes, without crazy tolls and traffic. will stay again.

The service was great! View was beautiful. No major negatives - just being detailed for people like me. My biggest complaint was the bathroom sink. There was no where to put your things! For $400 night you would think there would be ample space. The blinds had a few holes and the mattress was sagging a good bit. Again, nothing major. Trip was great. Just a few things to be mindful of.

My wife and I reserved several rooms here for our wedding, including one for ourselves. Since we were getting married at the Liberty House, the location was perfect and the views were amazing!

The night before the wedding, I stayed at the hotel by myself on account of the whole can't see the bride before the big day thing. That night there was unfortunately a slight mishap with my luggage. Thankfully, the staff there was able to resolve the situation and more than made up for any inconvenience by offering my wife and I a honeymoon suite for the night of our wedding. The standard room I was in was great with equally good views but the suite we were given was an incredible upgrade in every sense! It made coming back to the hotel after that long day that much better.

Between the hotel itself as well as the customer service, I could not recommend this hotel more!!

The room with the view was amazing. I loved the food and bar. They let you to leave the bags after checking out if you still have a lot of time in the city before your flight.

I attended a wedding here and it was beautiful! Transportation was incredibly easy; it's right outside the PATH station. The wedding was on the top floor, with an outside balcony that overlooked the Hudson and a beautiful view of Manhattan's skyline. We were so disappointed that there was torrential rain during the cocktail hour but it cleared up in about 10 minutes, and then there was an amazing double rainbow! We basically put the wedding on pause while everyone went outside to take pictures, including the bride/groom/they're professional photographers, of course. Aside from the beautiful view, the salmon was good, the chicken was dry, and the drinks were strong. The appetizers were probably better than the entrees, actually. Also it's a nice room setup, with the ceremony and reception in the same room, and a nice big area in which to entertain guests while the room was being flipped. We were considering a nearby club for the after party but ended up in the hotel's lounge, which was quite nice as well.

I use to stay here when I traveled for work. The rooms were pretty nice updated but you can tell there was some ware. Great views on both sides of the building. I've been upgraded a few times which was a great perk. Their bar on the second floor is nice but last time I was there the bar snacks we're pretty stale. The room rates are decent but don't bother ordering food way over priced, when there are so many good options down the street by Grove St.

Absolutely incredible experience! Skyline view magnificent. We had a balcony, other hotels don't have that. Steps from The Path which is the train you take to Manhattan. We stayed in Manhattan on the first part of our trip and much preferred staying in Jersey City beautiful town great restaurants.

Location is everything when it counts and this hotel counts. The views are impeccable. The service is great, the quality is top of the line but you better be willing and able to pay for it.

Had the suites overlooking the Hudson and facing Manhattan. The view was amazing. The suite was excellent. Did not want to go to sleep just wanted to keep looking. The hotel is ideally located. The PATH train goes from next door.

I enjoy visiting The VU Restaurant at the Hyatt. It does have a fantastic View. The chef works hard to produce interesting entrees, but I would personally prefer simpler fare. Service is thoughtful and considerate but could be a bit quicker. I generally make a reservation although seating is not usually a problem. Most all tables are good , but tables along the Eastern windows are the best.
