Arrived on a snowy night. Check in was fine, the room was as expected - comfortable and clean - everything you expect in a courtyard. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but I blame that on staff which did not show up due to weather; the one person working had to cook as well as serve the line and make the Starbucks drinks. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, just what you expect in a Courtyard.
This hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay. When our flight was delayed by several hours, Jess and Megan were kind enough to let us stay a few extra hours after our check out and were very unstanding about the situation. Amy at the bar was extremely friendly and offered a drink on the house after our long day. They all did a fantastic job! Great customer service and hospitality.
The hotel is geared toward serving professional sports teams so the service is top notch. The rooms are beautiful and modern looking. Free wifi is always great and they have that! With a Starbucks on the premises serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, this hotel is a wonderful place to stay
The rooms were the same level of quality I've always found at Marriott locations. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
September 12, 2017 I had a reservation as I had made it 5 weeks earlier and secured it with a credit card. Before I boarded my flight in Seattle headed for Newark NJ, I phoned the Courtyard in Tinton Falls to confirm my reservation and also to mention I would be coming in later than I expected, but I was indeed coming. The woman I spoke with assured me of my reservation and also said a late arrival was no problem. I landed at Newark at about midnight and by the time I got my luggage, rental car and the almost hour drive to Tinton Falls NJ, I arrived at the Courtyard Marriott at about 1:30 am the following morning. As you can imagine after traveling 3,000 miles, the time change and arriving to my destination at 1:30 in the morning, I was beyond exhausted. As I entered the lobby dragging my luggage I heard a voice call to me "Mrs. So in So?" I said "yes". They said "did you get my voicemail I left you?" I said "no, I've been on a plane." They said "oh, I'm so sorry, but we are overbooked and we gave your reservation away." I said how does that happen? I secure the my reservation weeks in advance with my credit card? I even confirmed my room 8 hours earlier? They said "I'm so sorry, you will have to go some where else." As it turn out, my business contact that I flew to NJ to see told me that the Courtyard in Tinton Falls NJ has been famous for treating he's out of town clients poorly and he and his company NEVER refer people to that hotel. I will be returning to Tinton Falls often for business, but NEVER back to the Courtyard Marriott there.
Very clean and nicely decorated rooms with comfortable beds. Would have been a 5 except for some small details. No free coffee or water in lobby, and only one coffee packet in room to make your own. Only breakfast to be purchased is an unmanned Starbucks that was expensive and not as good as most free breakfasts in other hotels. The staff was very pleasant and professional but only one person on duty at any given time. Which would be fine except that person had to cover snack stand, front desk and Starbucks cafe. Overall a pleasant stay.
Rooms are TINY!!! Barely any room to walk around. Good for single business traveler. We got a king room with pull out couch for me, my husband and 2 kids under 5. We couldn't move. Very hard to get ready, there was no space to even get dressed. It was clean and styled well but too too small and breakfast is super expensive. Two egg sandwiches cost $20.
The hotel is clean and quite. What stood out most was their customer service. Everyone greats you with a smile.
The Cafe is open during peek eating hours. I was looking for a small and healthy breakfast. I asked if they had a hard boiled egg. It was not on the menu, but they were able to give me one anyways.
Small things go a long way to make we feel at home.
Normal Courtyard, updated downstairs section with slightly tired rooms. Service has been cheery so far, and quiet at night!
Stayed here for the NJ Marathon they were super accomodating and allowed us to check out late to shower after the race. All three of the different people at the front desk at different times were all really friendly and great.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was courteous and accommodating. Very nice place to stay.
Not a great menu. Limited and even the simple sandwiches take a long time to be prepared. OK if you have no other choice, but you're better off getting Curbside from the Applebees across the street.
Come here every other week for work. Great, friendly front desk staff. Rooms are nice as well.
