Paid for a King, with a view, non smoking. Got the opposite. At check in, the clerk asked another clerk, "Before I touch anything, are these all the rooms we have?" It was confirmed by the other clerk. Nothing was said or explained to me. I just found out when I got to my room. The explanation of no more rooms came after i called down. Could've been handled better. Three stars for cleanliness.
Initially I found the lobby cheerful and decorated in holiday spirit with an awesome display of gingerbread houses. They have a great doorman who is gregarious and knowledgeable about Buffalo. However I found the Atrium Restaurant wanting as the food is less than average . Thank goodness for the Starbucks that is housed in the hotel. There is a Morton's Steakhouse as well that seems to be finding its way. Furnishing in the rooms is dated and a bit ragged and worse than this is their housekeeping staff who don't listen well or do not appear to care about the customers needs and the unprofessional night manager who defends them. The heating system is efficient but smells like kerosene when it's on. When the heat is off it smells like the vents need attention.
I don't know that I would stay there again. I would stop by and talk to the great doorman.
We are at Morton's for a family Christmas dinner. Online reviews were mixed but we decided to try it anyways. We were not disappointed! Food and service were second to none. Menu selection was vast, from steak to lamb to excellent seafood. Even the lobster bisque was over the top containing 2 full deshelled lobster claws! Prices were high but they matched the quality.
Our stay so far upon arrival has been absolutely wonderful. Guest service was pleasant and our room is clean and a great view. Cant wait to get dinner at Morton's and breakfast in the am that is included with our room. The beds are very comfortable as well. And they have dropped the room service delivery fee. So if you want food there is your reg tax and a 1.00 charge. Think we may get food later if we get back from our concert in time! Beautiful hotel! Will stay here if we come back this way again. Make sure you sign up for the membership and get the points! UpdateWe got back from venue too late to get room service and were tired. But did have dinner at Morton's steakhouse and it was so very good! Also grabbed a drink at atrium bistro bar. I highly recommend it. Our stay was wonderful. Breakfast was great we were offered omelettes with our buffet as well. The customer service here is world class and we will be back! Thank you so much!
My husband and I stayed at Hyatt for a night and we had a great service upon check in and a surprisingly good meal at the bistro. The location is ideal, in the heart of downtown Buffalo, and surrounded by beautiful architecture. The room was clean, and having politely requested a room on a higher floor, we had an amazing view. Overall very good experience. We will stay a Hyatt again if we ever visit Buffalo again. Two thumbs up.
Great place to hold a conference. Did was great, delivered and setup up on time. The rooms were comfortable and facilities kept clean and updated. Everything went off without a hitch.
Excellent hotel and totally worth it. Staff are super friendly/helpful. Rooms are very clean, modern and comfortable. Simply a pleasure to stay here. Highly recommended!
The hotel was in a perfect location to downtown Buffalo, with many great restaurants and bars located nearby. The staff was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We have stayed there both times we have been to Buffalo and will definitely be coming back!
This is the worst experience I've had in a hotel stay. The Inns are more personable and tcooperativ. This hotel is supposed to be non smoking, but the next door guests were clearly smoking. I have a heightened sensitivity to smoke and was suffering from the odor; headaches and stuffy nose. When I called the guest service the attendant was rude and not helpful. She did not directly respond to addressing the matter. She sounded like a parrot repeating what their smoking policy is. Instead of stating what she was going to do to ensure all their guests were comfortable and adhere to the rules. Horrible experience!
Situated in the heart of Buffalo, this hotel offers comfort and easy access to theaters, restaurants and a five minute ride to the waterfront. I was attending a wedding reception on Sunday and the stuff from the manager to servers were helpful and polite. At the first floor lobby there is a bar, restaurant and Starbucks. They offer valet parking at a charge and there are near by parking as well. I do recommend this newly renovated hotel not just for travellers but for those of us living around Buffalo area as well. I am waiting for the newly remodeled steakhouse to open so I can hopefully find a Vegetarian dish! They are very accommodating. No worry!
Parking wasn't fun. Was there for a work event. No upfront guidance for parking. Went to front desk to inquire. Was given misinformation. There should be more information on parking, from the hotel and the event host. Food was delicious. Restrooms were clean. The meeting was in Grand ballroom which was nice and comfortable. Sound system was good.
The Hyatt Regency Buffalo is my favorite hotel to stay in when I'm visiting. This was my second stay there and this was just as great as the first time. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I loved the king sized bed, but my husband prefers a more firm mattress.
Gorgeous hotel, nearby to downtown, wonderful restaurants, reasonably modern rooms, fantastic service. Top drawer and would have got 5 stars, but for the price of parking. In a city like Buffalo, parking prices this extreme, or frankly at all, are unneeded.
Probably the best bed I've ever slept on at a hotel, it was a king. Big room, cool elevator. Only downside are the blackout curtains aren't the best because they don't close together, and the valet is $25 which is more than other hotels around there. Also the TV was on the small side. I'd easily stay there again. The tram is free above ground and right next door.
I really like staying here. The staff is always helpful & professional. My room is clean-they actually vacuum the floor but not every hotel does. There were a few stray hairs on the shower wall. This was my 3rd stay and was pleased to see the same staff as low turnover is a good sign. I had a mishap at breakfast that was entirely my fault but they wanted to make it right for me anyway. And with them right by the Metro stop, they are a great choice if you're staying in Buffalo.
