We were there for the Birmingham bowl. I had stayed there before, so knew what to expect. Was sad to see that Shulas had closed since my last visit. Rooms are nice, roomy and comfortable. Very nice hotel with lots of restaurant choices nearby.

At least once a year my company holds a franchisee conference at the hotel. The rooms are always clean, and nice. Hotel staff is always very accommodating. Spacious meeting rooms. If you're looking for a good place to just spend the night or to hold a conference this is a very very good hotel.

This is a classic hotel that's been fully renovated. It's attached to the Riverchase Galleria Mall but the noise from the mall doesn't make it into the hotel. Rooms are large and recently renovated, beds are comfortable, furniture is new, bathrooms are very well done. I stayed here for a conference which was catered by the hotel. The food provided was good, for catering, and all of the staff were very helpful and prompt. Overall this is a great place to stay in the Birmingham area.

We arrived a few minutes early. Check in was supposed to be at 4 pm. It was almost 5 pm by the time I was actually able to check in. Several of the TV channels wouldn't work. We were force to go to another place to watch the football game. The movies in the room wouldn't work. I was forced to go downstairs to the lobby to use the restroom since there was no vent in our bathroom. All in all it was a horrible experience. I won't be back and will tell everyone I see never stay here. Oh also I play 140 a night and still have to pay 12 per night for parking. Use the 30 minute free parking to unload and check in and then park in the mall parking lot and have a short little walk.

The space provided was not large enough for the number of people. The staff were friendly and helpful while providing more seating. There were technical issues with the computer program and the IT personnel were helpful. During the break, the staff had extended the room to accommodate the group size. I was very pleased with my visit.

Absolutely marvelous staff. Very accommodating. GM was visible and wanted to ensure your complete satisfaction. Bell staff, great! Valet staff, exceptional!! Even stood in the rain to ensure guests could exit the gate! Wow! Front office team, especially Lindsay was awesome! Housekeeping team- very thorough and protective of guest rooms. Locationperfect, accessible to EVERYTHING! The restaurant food was very goodbut the banquet food was not good at all. Lunch and dinner bland, tough and watery. Breakfast was better

    Pros:
    - Right on the highway 459 when in the middle of a cross country road trip
    - LOCATION. Part of the Riverchase Galleria- an upscale shopping mall in in Hoover (close to Birmingham)
    - Great selection of restaurants

    Cons:
    - The rooms can do with some interior revamp. The rooms are spacious however, we were unhappy with the cleanliness. The first room did not have room service done prior to us checkin in and Hyatt changed us to another room, which had a dirty bath tub. The front desk is pretty helpful and courteous but the above wasn't expected.

One of the best hotels I have been to! I was here for a case competition and all I have to say is this hotel was AMAZING. The staff were wonderful, the rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. The beds were beyond comfortable, I slept so well during my stay. I enjoyed the amenities such as Tazo tea and great toiletries! This hotel is attached to a beautiful mall, so make sure to put aside some time to explore.

I love the Winfrey! Check in is always fast with very nice Winfrey employeeseveryone from the valets to the maids are super nice. Rooms are always top notch and service is fast, efficient and very friendly. I will always stay at the Winfrey when traveling back to Birmingham. It's connected to the mall so no driving and the interstate is right beside the Winfrey. I just love the Winfrey and will always stay there!

This hotel was really nice with great location. Connected to the Galleria Mall. However the parking was NOT free. More like $12 a night per car and we had two. I personally think it's ridiculous to charge me to park at your hotel in which I'm Already paying to stay. Other than that. No complaints!!!

I have to only give 3 stars. Pros: I like the Hotel, parking was easy, room was nice with a great view , bed was comfortable, staff was friendly. Cons, the room was not cleaned to standard. When we walked in, the bed looked like someone made it up then sat on it afterwards. Remote was dusty, the floor was not vacuumed then next morning I discovered an old band aid and cotton ball on the floor. There was only 1 wash cloth. We let the manager know and received breakfast which was wonderful!!! We'll be back though. It's a nice old but modern hotel.
