Stayed here for four days during the National Senior Games in June. Very comfortable rooms, nice restaurant, friendly staff. Enjoyed the patio when it wasn't raining! Great location .

Nice rooms, decent breakfast and staff was very kind. Hot water gets to rooms really quickly. Stayed at the Hyatt attached to the mall last week and I like this hotel better.

This is probably the best hotel that I've stayed at in this price range. The staff were always friendly. They gave me a greeting and a smile overtime I passed through the lobby. The rooms are spacious and are kept very clean. I'd be more than happy to stay at this hotel again in the future.

Previously I gave this hotel 5 stars. At first glance and initial arrival it was awesome. About an hour in my room I started to get a headache and a musty odor grew stronger. My daughter (1yr old) kept getting her socks wet. So my wife began to investigate. The air conditioner leaked and left a wet puddle in the carpet. Hence the smell of mildew/mold. I had my wife talk to the staff and they tried to accommodate my suite by putting me in a two queen room.. I said okay.. then when I went to a downgraded room the smell was there as well. Honestly I feel as a Platinum IHG member. The staff would have tried to accommodate me way better. But Holiday Inn of Birmingham/Hoover has left a bad taste in my mouth especially after driving 8hrs.

The hotel is clean and seems new. But what really impressed me was the breakfast service. I sat in the dining area and had (what I thought was) a waiter. The breakfast buffet was great and had a large selection. When I asked for my check, expecting $10-$15 for the buffet, I found it it was complimentary. And the "waiter" (Terry) who gave me excellent service -- better than what I get in a lot of restaurants -- was just the Holiday Inn guy working the breakfast buffet and was "going beyond the call of duty".

We evacuated from Miami, Fl and everyone at the hotel has been so kind and welcoming. It really put my mind at ease during this stressful time.

Beds were comfortable, as was climate control. Breakfast bar was also diverse and tasty (especially enjoyed the little muffins). Staff was super friendly and helpful at every opportunity

Very nice hotel. Updated rooms. Offers a happy hour with free drinks. Nice bar area Nice front desk staff. Would stay again if in the area.

Nice room clean friendly staff. Only issue is turning out inn the busy highway the hotel is located on. It can sometimes take several minutes before you get an opportunity to turn.

The event room I attended was well maintained and kept clean. The few staff members I interacted with were polite and friendly. Overall the atmosphere is friendly.
