Customer service was terrible. We requested a pet room three times over the phone and when we got to location they claimed they had no record and demanded proof before they would help. This was Thanksgiving weekend. Thankfully we had proof or they would have left us high and dry. Terrible!

It is no longer a Howard Johnson hotel. It does however still have Howard Johnson's name in different areas in the hotel, but is no longer affiliated with Howard Johnson. The facility needs a lot of updating as well as a good renovation. Our room smelled like it had a smoker in it at one point in its history as a hotel. The free breakfast was a continental and halfway decent. The front desk is not well manned and had wait about 10 minutes for someone to show up and help me out when I was trying to check out.

This hotel, by FAR, has been the WORST experience my family and I have EVER gone through! We've had better visits getting teeth pulled at the dentist, than the pain we've suffered here at the HOE-Joe. I don't know who was more welcoming, the prostitutes or the so called "front desk"!!*

If you're looking for the cheapest stay around Orlando, you can't really beat this place through a booking site. However, while their service from the employees is great, the hotel is quite rundown and hasn't been overhauled in years. Hot water is literally come and go, three changes during one shower session. Bathroom wall had hole punched in sheetrock from door that has likely been there for a long time by the looks of it. The pool is currently broken until further notice, but still full of water, so there's moss and algae in there.

First off, we got an amazing deal at $35 per night. Having said this, this definitely shows. The rooms were very dirty when we arrived. Small amounts of feces on the walls and light switches, the bathroom has a very pungent smell of mildew and smelly feet. Stains and markings all over the place and rust, lots of telltale signs of lacking upkeep. General hygiene standards really are not up to spec and we were really grossed out. The breakfast options were lacking a bit, but not a huge deal. The pool is really cool with the waterfall, but wasn't all that clean. Overall I would not recommend this place to anyone especially if it was anything over what we paid.

A little run-down but I was told that new owners had purchased. Hopefully their intentions are to renovate the entire property. A little rough on the outside rooms were clean staff was very pleasant and helpful. The nightclub is not open Period and a little strange was the experience with the continental breakfast you could not take out any of the food from the room where it was being provided. There was a beautiful deck right outside the door but it was locked said exit only. Kind of sad because I really do enjoy eating breakfast out on the outside. Hopefully that will get straightened out. The Landscaping was there it just needed to be cleaned up and maintained. There were many Rock Gardens around but it just looked like it had not been taken care of in quite a while. Other than that our stay was pleasant. Towels were provided for the pool and the pool also had a chair lift for handicap enjoyment. The pool also had a waterfall feature which was pretty nice and the pool is open till 10 at night period I would stay there again

We came here betrayed by the reviews online. The pictures shown to us were from like 15 years ago because the hotel is not what you wait for. The lobby was dirty, especially the carpet which had stains all over it. The walkthrough to the rooms showed us that the place was insecure, dirty and awful(the carpet had excrement and vomit, we heard rats walking around). When we arrived to the room, it smelled like marihuana. The AC did not work because the room was hot and the air smelled like humidity. The beds were ok till the very first night when we found cockroaches in the pillows. The carpet in the bed was dirty and with stains, we had to use our shoes every time in order to avoid contact with the carpet. The bathroom was ok but old. We were given an old tv without cable. The sheets and towels were changed but when we saw them they were dirty so we supposed the hotel avoids washing them. The pool is not what it is shown. It is dirty, unclean. It is obvious they do not do maintenance to it. It is sad because my brother is a professional swimmer and he needed to train but with that kind of pool we better avoided it. The hotel had all kind of warnings because of thieves. We had to put a chair in the door in order to get a good sleep. We saw night-walkers(hookers) in the place and people getting drugs in the hall. The staff was gross. One morning we went to have breakfast and the menu was coffee, boiled eggs, bread(it was old) and fruits. My mom took an apple and she went out eating it and as soon as the restaurant's manager saw that she started screaming and saying to my mom in a bad form that if she could not read! My mom does not speak english! So as a result the manager called someone of the staff who spoke Spanish and she started screaming that we could not get food out of the room and stayed there while ate. The next day she went again to have an eye on us. THIS IS NOT A FAMILIAR PLACE. ALSO IT IS NOT NEAR THE UNIVERSAL THEME PARKS. IT IS 40 MIN AWAY. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE UNLESS IT WOULD BE ONE-NIGHT HOTEL. WE HEARD SOME GUYS WERE STOLEN IN THE ROOM!

Do not come here. Thought it would be above average. It is definitely NOT. BY FAR. the TV does not work, the quality of the entire business is laughable, but after you overlook and accept all the obvious flaws, our PS4, controllers, and cords and google chrome cast were stolen from the locked door while we were out of the room for a few hours. We even met and informed housekeeping before we left not to enter our room. Your belongings should be secure in somewhere you are paying and trusting to keep safe. This hotel is in a safe area. It is marketed as higher end. There should not be thefts of personal property among the patrons. This is ridiculous.

Booked a month prior to arriving which was a 3.5 star on Google. Once we arived, my wife and I had driven 5 hours so we were ready for bed. Upon entering the room, we got a strong smell of marijuana and several roaches scatter. We went to the front desk to get a different room and found the second one was just as bad. Wife said it smelled of cat urine and several visible "stains" on the bed skirt. Needless to say we got our refund which the gentleman at the front desk seemed like he expected us to do as several customers were in line for. BEWARE! Do not stay here, if you do, thoroughly inspect the room. Not a family friendly environment as we saw several shady characters with what seemed to be "ladies of the night" walking about throughout this exchange. We later Google's to review and it had gone down to barely a 1 star at the time of this review.

Good location right off of I-4. Comfortable bed for one nights stay, with a lot of food options within 2 miles of the hotel. Cant beat it!
