Always a good time if you're into country music, college football and 40 ounces of cold beer. The train overhead can be a nuisance when you're there during the day but not noticeable at night at all.
I came here the other day to watch the Bears game and was surprised to find a table right away. The front room is fairly small, but there is a matching back room through a small doorway in the back.
Our server was nice and checked on us often, even though she had a huge table to take care of also. The drink specials were great, especially the 40s of beer which were only $6. I was only able to drink one of them before the game ended, but would have liked to stay for another.
With the intimate sports watching environment and good beer prices. I will definitely keep this place in mind when I'm in the area again.
Best place in the Midwest to watch a Bama game! Also fun for Cubs games and country music nights!
Very crowded for first Alabama game (which was fun) until management forced the patio seated guests to sit out in a thunderstorm because the inside was at capacity. Oh and they covered the TVs with black garbage bags so we couldn't even see the game. My friend and I paid the ticket, caught a Lyft back to the hotel, and watched in the comfort of the bed with takeout (still wet).
Went to this bar for mine and my girlfriends birthday, we were told beforehand that we would be getting a wristband deal for 3 hours drinks, and tips included. We had a group of friends and my girlfriends parents come out to celebrate with us. It is an understatement to call this place unprofessional and rude. The bartenders ignored us because we had wristbands and they thought they weren't getting tipped. We were told to "go back to f**king Naperville" even though we're from the city. We would have beers poured from the tap and were expected to grab our drinks from underneath the tap because they were not being handed within reach to us and when my girlfriends mother asked why the bartender was being a jerk, he ripped her drink out of her hand and dumped it. The girl bartender didn't even serve me and would look around and ask if anyone needed a drink when I asked her if I needed one. When the manager was informed what happened, he told us to take a shot and just get over it avoid this place at all cost. Very unprofessional and rude. NEVER going back again and never getting any of mine or my friends and family's money ever again.
staff was rude, took forever to get our bill. when we did it wasn't right. it was a mess, and she made us late for our train home.
Went here after a game, place was not slammed but full. After waiting 10 minutes for service, we ordered the nachos and after we waited 30 minutes and saw other tables getting food that arrived after we did we asked our server about our food and she said she forgot. We asked to speak to the manager and his response was just to say sorry these girls are overworked. Needless to say don't go to this place if they're busy and your hungry. She then offered us a feee beer instead of free nachos when we just wanted the food!
Let's get this out of the way. The CTA train over head every 15mins or so was a bit much. HOWEVER, the saving grace of this establishment is the food. The inside bar is a total dive, yet the outdoor area is modern with a "backyard BBQ" kinda feel. It's just on the edge of Wrigleyville on Clark Street. The environment is prime (currently summer) as a psuedo-quite/chill location to pregame or just enjoy the outdoor seating area. 4 / 5 stars. Continue producing excellent food!
$20 corona buckets? I am in! Hahahaha our server was the sweetest girl in the world! ( I totally forgot her name, but she has long dark hair) and we for sure will be back :)
Houndstooth Saloon is the spot in Wrigleyville. The Nachos are fire and our server Emily was the best! 5 stars for you Emily.
"Country" bar till about 11pm, then the music heads in a more popular culture direction. Cool layout and good service.
