Very nice place I would definitely give them a try before I purchase wedding suits or other related items. Rent one and get one free till the end of the year.

Our tuxes for the wedding arrived late, the shoe and tux sizes were measured correctly, written down correctly, but Black Tie did not put any of the tuxes together correctly. When addressing the issue with staff the female worker was extremely rude, even told us our exchanges would be placed on the sidewalk! There was no help in response to allowing us to drive halfway, them to deliver the correct measurements, or stay late/open early. There was no respect or disregard for a wedding taking place two hours away. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER! Be warned!

Black Tie Formalwear did an outstanding job with our daughter's wedding. They had flexible hours, and excellent employees who provided special attention to address the needs of our out of town guests. Their formal wear selection was the best I have ever seen. Of particular note, Mike went out of his way to get everything perfect! Thanks for everything, and I will recommend Black Tie Formalwear to all of my friends.

The tux itself was comfortable and in good condition. The shoes were very comfortable as well. However, the store provided the wrong color ties for the wedding party which is a very significant issue. In addition, the groom's tux needed countless last-minute adjustments as well as a replacement vest. Overall unorganized and unsatisfactory.

Fitted in 20 minutes, delivered as expected, tried it on, and no alternations were required. Just the way I wanted my transaction to be, quick, and painless.

I would love to give this location zero stars.
When we went for our first fitting the young man was very polite and attentive. Went in on Thursday for our second fitting. First off no one was at the front of the store. Then from the back room comes out a little girl and a man. Following them shortly after was a woman. Who then proceeded to the desk and looks at me and doesn't even say welcome just what are you here for. I repkied to pick up our tuxedo. I then explain that my son is now wearing a brace so I was concerned about how the pants were going to fit. No customer service skills at all. I pay while I'm waiting for my son to try on the suit. My son comes out and you can tell the pant legs are short. As he comes closer they are also dirty the shirt is wrinkled the Vest is too big the Jacket fits awkwardly and also dirty on the collar. When all these issues were addressed. The response was the suit isn't dirty and the pants and everything are fine. If you want we will alter it but it's fine. Her attitude was awful I told my son to take the suit/tux off and we left for the rehearsal. I dropped him off called rhe groom and went to a different location in Chicago on Irving Park Rd where they acknowledged everything and saw all the problems. They gave me clean pants and fixed them accordingly (made them Longer) took in the Vest gave me clean jacket and ironed the shirt. They were helpful and had a cleaner, nicer, more people friendly employees and met all my needs (as a CUSTOMER) ..
Today when I dropped off the suit to your location I asked about the young lady and find out that she is one of your managers.
I'm sorry but I will never recommend your location to anyone.response / report this review -

It has been quite some time since I’ve had to rent a tuxedo. I chose Black Tie Formal. From the minute I walked in the door to returning the tuxedo it was most definitely a five star experience. Andrea and her staff went above and beyond to ensure the fit was exact. Their professionalism and friendliness are the epitome of what customer should be! Thank you, Andrea! I will definitely be using Black Tie Formal again.

Tuxes are not worth $200 to rent and you have to return it the next or you get charged $50 extra per day. Their hours are 12-5pm daily You have to get a fitting, then an alter then a second alter because they usually get it wrong the first time. My shirt was stained although barely noticeable. Multiple groomsmen had the same problem. Go buy a nicer Tux at Macy's and get it altered if needed for $200-$300.

If I could give zero stars I would. My eight year old son went to get fitted for a tux with his uncle and left in tears, I was horrified to hear my son on the phone asking me "was there something wrong with him". He was put in an adult tux jacket and when questioned about the fit, was told "there's nothing we can do about it, he doesn't fit in children's sizes". I am well aware that he is on the husky side, however there is no reason for comments like that to be made in front of a child. Maybe they need to do some sensitivity training. I'm appalled that this "family run" business treated a CHILD in this manner.

Friendly, attentive service. Free out of town Wedding Measurement Service, without an appointment. Then, all you have to do is contact the Tuxedo Service in the city that your headed to and DONE. Thank you Black Tie, for helping an Out of Town Father look the part of a Very Proud Pappa.

Jackie and David did an absolute perfect job at getting me fitted and having my tux ready ahead of time! They answered all questions, gave me two extra days on top of it when I realized I forgot to bring my shoes back in and they did not charge me! Two weeks later I decided to purchase a tux and went back talked to Jackie, she gave me one heck of a deal, she said that being I rented a tux 2 weeks ago they would sell me the same tux for 165.00 only thing I didn't receive were the shoes. If you're in need of a tux I highly recommend black tie formal wear their prices are great and the looks are outstanding!
