So the draft menu is hard to read, and the fact they refrigerate the malt vinegar is annoying.
Despite that, this is the best bar I've been to in a long, long time. The beer options are option and despite the casual beer/burger scene, the service is better than most fine dining establishments. I didn't even notice it, by my coworker saw a bartender sneak under my stool to grab some trash. That's how clean it is. And everyone that works here works together marvelously. They should all be proud of the product they present.

We've been coming here for years, and have always loved the beer choices (second to none in Chicago I feel). Also, even for vegetarians there are some really nice options.I've even had just salads because the variety and quality is really good (tho the sides this summer seem to be heavily weighted on the southwestern and spicy side). The staff are very efficient, and we like the team approach, because it gets the job done. We like watching sports sometimes too, which makes the bar a fun place to sit. Come to think of it a while back when we frequented the bar we got the neighborhood discount.wonder if you're still doing that.it was a nice touch, and made us feel a connection. After a time away from Chicago we returned to our old watering hole and found that the standard is just the same as always was.

A burger joint with quirky flavors and hearty portion sizes. The staff is kind and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Highly recommended for all (but no kids menu?) Go earlier if you want a quieter mood because it is common to see groups of friends pour in for good times!

This place has some of the best burgers I've ever had! I always get the slow burn burger with firecracker fries. When you get that combo a little secret is you get what they call fast burn sauce with the fries. Which is amazing. The burger with figs and goat cheese is heaven on a bun! They also have a great bear selection which the staff are all extremely well versed in. Listen to there suggestions, they haven't led me wrong yet! Their butter bear is delicious, I got the ingredients at home to make it but its not the same. Extremely glutan free ready.

I really liked this place. We were in the neighborhood with a burger craving and this was the closest place. The bar itself is really large and they have outdoor seating as well which we chose. Feels like you are in a picnic space with the Three Bears. Straight out of a fairy tale

Definitely get the cheese curds. They are delicious and since they are beer battered, they come out fluffy. I wasn't super excited by the dip that comes with it but you can ask for a spicy option which makes it better.

We had the Edmund fig-Gerald, I really liked the fig and bacon relish which wasn't over sweet and had the right amount of 'burnt' in it. We also had the slow burn- I really liked the spice in this one. Both burgers were super juicy and well made- we had them medium.

I'll come back when I'm in the neighborhood. Thanks Bad Apple!

Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Great craft beer selection, and the most amazing burger I have ever had (I ordered the "even the cowgirl gets the blues")! Would recommend to anyone visiting Chicago.

I have been to Bad Apple maybe 10 times and every time the food was perfect, service great, and beer menu awesomely extensive. This burger is tied for best in Chicago for me in the category of "interesting toppings." If you like burgers that are thick, enjoy a variety of toppings that celebrate the burger itself without hiding anything, give this place a shot. And hot dang THE BEER MENU.

Excellent service. Amazing beer list! Got the burger with figs and goat cheese and it was phenomenal. I also really dig the music they play. Bands like April March and jazz tunes. Highly recommended 😄

After a time away from Chicago we returned to our old watering hole and found that the standard is just the same as always was. However, after our visit last night something occurred to us, which in a way felt a bit disconcerting. We realized that even though the staff give great customer service, there's something that we are missing. However many times you come back you never make a connection with any of the staff. They might recognize you and say hi, but the conversation never develops beyond the menus. I don't think we push it by the way, but we are pretty open and interested customers. It can leave you feeling a bit empty. After discussing it we realize that it might be a business strategy, which if this is true makes us feel even more empty. So, we might try branching out a bit to other fruit in future.

Delish! I'm a vegetarian and was a tad worried about my options here. I ended up with one of the tastiest veggie burgers I've had in a while! Hubs also dug his little slider sampler, and all of the sides were on point. Highly recommend!

Awesome digs. Enjoyed the atmosphere, the bomb burgers, and the cocktails. The beer cocktails are fantastic. Not your typical beer cocktails, much more elevated and well thought-out. Go. Just go. Enjoy.

In my opinion this place has the best burgers in Chicago. They have a great beer selection and a casual atmosphere where all waiters and waitresses help you out. I have tried every Burger they have and they are all excellent

Really fun beer selection at very reasonable prices. Delicious burgers - and poutine! I had a cauliflower salad as a side that was so good! Kids are welcome without the place catering specifically to families & out strikes a perfect balance in that regard (not easy to do) which I chalk up to efforts of an excellent staff! Everyone we interacted with was great from the hostess to the bartenders to our server. They were friendly & informative without seeming like they were blowing sunshine. We look forward to going here again soon & it is at the top of our list for places to take visiting friends & family.

One of the best places in the city. Great beer, great burgers, great service. The cheese curds are amazing and they have a little chocolate mousse for desert! My personal favorite burger is the Grizzly Adams, but the Slow Burn is also very good. They rotate new creations in regularly, so it's always a great place to re-visit. The beer list is exceptional, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is also very friendly and professional.
