Stayed here twice now and I definitely recommend it! Super convenient location and such a pretty hotel--and the entire lobby smells like a Christmas tree during rhe holidays as a delightful bonus. Literally my only complaint is that there was no coffee machine in my otherwise lovely and inviting room, but the nearby Starbucks resolved that problem quite nicely. Looking forward to staying here again on my next work trip!
Beautifully appointed. Wonderful staff. No coffee maker in room although they will bring you one with "accessories" free of charge.
Great location right next to Fenway Ask for a room with a view.
Beautiful and modern hotel. Our room was right across from Fenway which was great. Very close to lots of restaurants as well as the ones near the hotel! Would definitely stay there again.
I attended a technology conference at the Hotel Commonwealth, which provided breakfast and lunch catering as well as a happy hour. The facility is beautiful and the staff were quick and friendly. Overall it was a great experience and I would absolutely go back for other events or recommend the hotel to hosts looking for a meeting space. I think we had about 300 attendees at the conference and although some of the simultaneous lunch lines were a bit long, that certainly isn't the hotel's fault.
Great location. Good service. Nice room with all the amenities one would expect. Popular restaurants are adjoined to this hotel making it quite active at night.
Cannot begin to tell you just how amazing this hotel is. Every service from the minute you walk in, is impeccable and then you will simply marvel over the unbelievably spectacular accommodations. Comfort, cleanliness and convenience is at the top of the list, as well as their eagerness to satisfy every guests needs. I am happy to say I will never stay anywhere else when I come to Boston. Don't miss out on this gem.
The hotel location was great. The room was great as well. I was given a free upgrade to a suite and appreciated that. However, a fire alarm went off early in the morning and I was forced to evacuate and stand out in the rain in my PJ's. Once the all clear was given, we received no explanation as to what happened and no further information or apology was extended to guests. But, it was my first night in Boston. So maybe courteousness is nonexistent here.
We were at the hotel for dinner. dinner was excellent. We all enjoyed our dinner. Wait person were friendly and very knowledgeable about the food. Can't wait to go back.
Staff was extremely friendly. Location is great, only a short walk from Fenway Park and the T (subway) has a stop right next to the hotel. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Will be staying here again on my next trip to Boston.
We have stayed at the Commonwealth many times and find it to be a fantastic hotel. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The staff is dedicated to a high level of service. The Hawthorne Bar off the lobby is very cool and serves excellent cocktails. Overall, I highly recommend!
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around
Hotel service is really good. Right when my cab pulled up, the doorman took my bags and offered to carry them inside. The folks at reception were helpful and welcoming. The room was large and clean. The shower water pressure is very strong. It might be too strong, as a lot of water had made it onto the bathroom floor. The sink seemed a little clogged as it took the water awhile to drain from the basin. The beds/pillows are super comfortable.
Not entirely clean. No amenities, ie: room coffee pot or microwave, complimentary or continental breakfast, free wine nightcap, etc. Spent 5 nights and paid over $3,000 for the view of the marathon route which was pretty much all I received. Outside the marathon, the view was not a good visual that being a covered bus stop. Others in my family who stayed there had NO good views and still spent premium prices. When asked about the accommodations at the desk, I told them about the disappointing lack of cleanliness. I was assured that they would take care of the problem. That was the last I heard from them while they avoided acknowledging my presence and no eye contact. The next day after returning from an outing, the conditions remained the same but with the added surprise of finding someone had urinated in the commode without flushing. I did not complain for fear of the next day's cleaning revenge, plus I'd already seen the result of their "attention." The staff was friendly but ineffectual when it came actual services. I left feeling taken advantage of. I would never stay there again nor recommend it.
