The hotel itself was lovely. Id give it 5 stars if not for the fact that I was overcharged and the accounting department will simply not get back to me despite my calls and emails. So now I'm disputing the charges with Amex and will not be returning. It's too bad, because I would have absolutely returned if not for this.

The liberty is conveniently located the drinks and food are all good, but the crowd on most weekends is not my thing. It gets a little trashy, but that's not the hotels fault. The hotel is really beautiful and the many floors over looking the lobby make for options of sitting and sipping on a cocktail to being in the thick of the lobby dancing. Oh, the DJ is always consistent and great.

Beautiful hotel, massive lobby that has the nicest people at check in. A complimentary glass of champagne is a nice touch. The old Suffolk county jail. Made into this beautiful hotel. Restaurants are comfortable and swanky. You will spend a pretty penny here, so be aware. Nice bar in the lobby add plenty of chairs to just sit and relax

This was a really neat place. It's a revamp of a jailhouse that was made into a hotel. Even the Interiors of the rooms have a jailhouse decor. The transportation was pretty accessible. as well as there's tons of things to do within walking distance. I recommend going to the Harvard Gardens and Finagle Bagel that are just down the street.

Beautifully done! This property is spectacular with great amenities and spot-on staff. We stayed in a corner suite with awesome views of the Charles River. The spacious room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. We ate breakfast and lunch at Clink. I love the re-purposed building and its proximity to many local "things-to-do" and the highly attentive staff. We'll be back!

The hotel itself is stunning and the staff members were very friendly, but my husband and I unfortunately still had a bad experience here. We planned to stay here for the last night of our honeymoon because of a long gap between flights from our trip in Portugal to our home in Maryland. With that said, we were tired early because of the time difference of 4 hours and were disappointed when the lobby of the hotel was a dance club until 1:00am (5:00am to our jet-lagged minds), which we could easily hear in our room. Because of that, getting to sleep was a bit more of a challenge than we would have liked after a day of traveling. The most unfortunate part of our stay, though, was that we wanted to order a big breakfast for the room to celebrate before heading to the airport to return home and the breakfast order menu says to leave it on the door handle before 2:00am to secure your breakfast order. We had it out by 11:00pm the night before and when the selected breakfast time came and went in the morning, we called the front desk and were told that unfortunately they never saw our order. They did try to help make up for this mistake, but at that point we had to leave for the airport. It was overall just a disappointing stay for such a luxury hotel. Not an ideal last day of our honeymoon.

If nothing went wrong it will be a excellent hotel. But all the employee I met made easy promise and then put me into a really bad situation. I have to pay $800 for their mistakes. And just nobody cares. I called hundreds of time and they just cheat on me. I didn't see any honest in this hotel. But it is a traditional rich hotel, well organized. If you have good luck, just choose them.

Extremely cool, historic hotel that was converted from a jail that was built in 1851 and ceased operation in 1990. Many of the bars and themes of the jail are still present and it's a GREAT atmosphere. Highly recommended to stay there and eat/drink there. I will be returning when I'm back in Boston!

Awesome concept, former prison converted to a hotel. Very unique. Went for professional meetings. Screens were to small for the size of the room. The fifth floor was where they had drinks and dinner. It was a tight fit, the large ring concept spread people to far apart.

I ate at Clink. The service and good are quite excellent! They are very attentive and respectful of food allergies. The food was delicious! I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the hotel or traveling to Boston.

I had brunch at Clink. The service was formidable, as they accommodated a member of my party that needed Gluten-free options quite well. I enjoyed Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and I nearly licked the plate clean. Service was good, ambiance better than that, and the food even better than that. A little pricey, but dependable for a classy brunch with someone you're trying to subtly impress.

The hotel ( a remodeled prison) was amazing. Just walking into the lobby was breathtaking. The designers did a great job rehabing this building while taking advantage of all it's historical fixtures in a very tasteful way. The staff were very accommodating and friendly (albeit a little robotic). The rooms were immaculate and quite large by Boston standards, our bathroom having a separate bath tub and walk-in shower, however herein lay the first problem I had during my stay. The shower water temperature fluctuated between lukewarm and cold making it very uncomfortable. The shower faucet would easily fall off if you bumped into it and the wall mounted body wash and shampoo dispenser pumps were broken. These are fundamental things here that a visitor should not have to deal with in a luxury hotel. Another issue I had is I made a request to remove all of the alcohol from my room prior to my arrival, I was told there is a $50 charge to do this. $50 to have room service move bottles? I'm not saying the should be no fee at all, but I don't see how they're justifying this amount. Overall, this I a great, not perfect place to stay. The location is great, the rooms are large and the building itself has a lot of history.
