The room was really small. The elevator and hallways were very drab. It felt a lot like a ymca i stayed in, in downtown San Diego, which was converted from a rooming house, to a motel. I'm 5' 9'' and the shower head was at my chin. I would hope they would have told me that before checkin in, say i was 6 foot 2? The air was stuffy, the window hard to open. My view was of duct work and the other side of the building. There was a thermostat in the room, so I was able to control the temperature. The Closet (if u want to call it that?) was dreadful. It fit a shirt, maybe two? The bed was a Serta and very comfortable.
All the staff were courteous and polite, willing to help when I needed anything. The man extended my stay till Noon, for which I was very pleased. I wish them all the best.
The cost of the room was $89 ($102.15) with tax. The room I stayed in isn't worth it, when for the same price, I can stay in a better room at Sheraton Back Bay.
In fairness, I didn't see any of the bigger rooms, with better views. I can only imagine those rooms being more overpriced than mine was.response / report this review -

Good location - nice breakfast places nearby. Right by Kenmore subway stop. Comfy warm rooms and nice bathroom. Clean.

The hotel and rooms are quite nice and spacious. Even the fold out couch is decent for sleeping on. Our bathroom toilet wasn't working and a friend from another room had his heating fail but the hotel moved him to another room when it happened. In terms of beauty, the hotel does overlook one Kenmore square which is quite beautiful to those of you who like the older style Boston architecture. There are many useful shops and restaurants nearby like 7/11, dunkin donuts, and a Chipotle as well as a T station just a couple minutes away allowing you to travel to other parts of Boston. Overall great experience, could've been a bit better but if you get a room that works I think you'll like it a lot.

It's a wonderful location! The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are great and well maintained. Upon check in we got a 15 dollar credit to the Fenmore

One of the least expensive hotels during our stay. It is very nice and comfortable. Only issue is our room faced the street and was somewhat noisy.

Very beautiful hotel, you can feel the history. However it also feels very old, a friend of mine had found mold or mildew in his closet and many rooms smelled heavily of the popeyes chicken next door. Hospitality was very good, just certain situations were not ideal for my party.

The location is perfect, it's just a few minutes from the Kenmore train station. The beds sometimes seem small, but they're extremely comfortable and cozy. The service is great. Worth the money

Stayed there from 7/10 - 7/14. Very old hotel, has a certain characteristic you don't get in many modern hotels. Very much enjoyed my time there. Room was comfy and clean, showers seemed hot enough for me. Fenmore Grill built in, but didn't try it. Comfy room and great location.

The hotel was very antique and very beautiful. Everything was wonderful. The view, the ambiance was perfect for writing a novel. The staff was fantastic. Nice hotel, and amazing location. Showers run pool warm at best. The rest was pretty nice. Worth the stay based on location and friendly customer service.

Great location and convenient restaurant right in the hotel. If you're staying for a red sox game, its definitely worth the added conveniences.

Room was spacious and it overlooked Fenway, which is cool. But overall it felt old and a bit broken down. Bar and bartender were great though. Worth a half star if it were possible.

I love that each room has its own personality. Hotel staff is very kind, they even extended my checkout time so that I could go shopping. The grille is delicious. I love it.
