Hotel was ok. Mostly a place to sleep and usual breakfast to go with it as far as Holiday Inn Expresses go. Decor was outdated and rather blah. Would like to plug ins for electronics while traveling. Stay was good with friendly staff and no issues.
The good:
comfortable bed, fridge in room, basic amenities and mostly friendly, helpful staff.
The bad:
mold in the room around the fridge and window. Very clear smell of mildew drew us to look for the mold. Noisy and thin walls. We could hear the alarm going off in the room next door that we were NOT headboard to headboard with.
We would look elsewhere for a newer or renovated building next time.
Clean, safe room; courteous staff and good breakfast. I would stay here again.
We always stay at an IHG hotel, whether Holiday Inn, Express, Candlewood, or Staybridge and this one wasn't anything special. Yes, it's a good location, especially for being right off the interstate and there's plenty of places to eat nearby, but the entrance is very dark and inconvenient. Our check in was short and smooth, guy was friendly. Nothing special about the 2 queen bed room, basic room, but without a microwave, which I found to be quite odd!! Also, the room had an odd smell and everything felt damp. When I awoke the next morning I felt like I had slept in a sleeping bag in a tent all nightand smelled like it too😷😷 there was definitely an issue with humidity, moisture, and mildewwe're going to be staying there again in a few days, but I'll definitely be making sure the room isn't musty and smell of mildew!!
Great customer service. Good parking. Breakfast was good, though a small area for dining.
the carpet in front of the A/C unit Room #316 was soaked with condensation and the temp was set on 65 degrees..no way it was 65. I could hear the dripping water in the room. We checked in late and went to bed anyway. when i checked out the next morning, i told the clerk about the floor PLUS the smell of mold in there. He replied that with humidity that is what 'you should expect'.really? i just spent a week in Charleston which was hotter and more humid and my room at a comparable hotel was fine. a week earlier in Orlando I had no problems with the room.this clerk was just too lazy to do anything or even report it I am sure. NO professionalism at all..i was not trying to get a discount or free room, only letting him know that I was not happy..I did not get a simple, 'I am sorry for your discomfort'.if that's the best Holiday Inn can do for clerks, I feel for them
Very comfortable, neat clean, and relaxing. Rooms were excellent. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Clean rooms, extremely friendly staff. Plenty of parking. There's a gas station by it and plenty of places to choose to eat. Only downside for me is the lack of a laundry facility.
Very nice, newer hotel, modern designs. I had a King Suite with jacuzzi bathtub, very nice. Outdoor pool looked refreshing but I arrived late and left early.
In short, our room had bed bugs. To make things worse we had a 6 month old baby and didn't realize the infestation until midnight. This caused us to go switch hotels and then try to ensure we did not carry the bugs with us. Over three weeks later and still battling the problem at home. I would recommend to stay elsewhere. The clerk acted like she was doing us a favor for not being charged
This particular Holiday Inn was just off our path back home and located near many restaurants to choose from. We arrived after 8pm and were quickly checked in by friendly staff as we made a reservation on Priceline. The room was located at the back end where there is no elevator (located near the office). We had 2 queen beds that were amazing to sleep on. The shower pressure was great, they supplied Bath & Body Works shampoo/conditioner, the room was wonderful except for the lack of blanketing I'm used to at Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast was great as expected, but the attendant was extra courteous and helpful. We left just after check out time (which is 11am) a rested and refreshed bunch. Would definitely use again.
