Upon check-in we had a shower with clumps of hair in it. On night two after being gone all day we came back to the hotel with blood stains on our sheets. Completely unacceptable. The mattresses are spring filled in your back and the pillows are five years old and completely flat.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around

The only good things: sound isolation between rooms, strong A/C, no weird smells.
Front desk person most unhelpful. First kept messing up my name. She thought we had one room reserved when we actually had 2. Lied that rooms in other floors were full and stuck us in the basement. She didn't even know where the other entrances of the hotel were.
The key cards are terrible, lots of people seem to have ones that don't work.
Beds are old, got bruised by a broken spring on one side of the bed.
Carpet looked like it was never vacuumed.
Ice bucket had stains from tea or coffee, like it is never cleaned or sanitized.
Corners of the tables and TV with dust, indicated poor room cleaning.

Couldn't ask for a better place to stay when visiting Sea World. Staff is very gracious and took wonderful care of our little family! Margie at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel at home!

Nice quality material furniture, the staff are friendly and ready to help. The matress and chairs are very comfortable. On the other hand everything has a worn feeling to it, the carpet's original nice pattern is altered for the worse by stains, and the toilet was not cleaned for my entire week of stay.

The AC is directed straight at the headrest of the beds, thanks to which I managed to catch a heavy cold on the second day of my stay - inconvenient on holiday, but downright wexing when on business and a tight schedule. Advice: set it very low for the day and turn it off completely for the night.

The complimentary coffee supplies are not refilled regularly and there is no information how it would be possible to purchase more. My booking was changed without notice, which caused a bit of an inconvenience in the beginning.

The bathroom didn't have a detachable shower handle, only the wall-fixed spray, and the tap could not be completely switched over, which resulted in a lower pressure.

All in all, lots of small nuisances but a generally good atmosphere.

We stayed here during hurricane Harvey. We had a family emergency and drove from Indiana to this hotel. We arrived late due to going to the hospital first. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We ordered room service because we were exhausted and the staff was terrific. The food was delicious. I would recommend this hotel to everyone that is looking to stay in the area.

Very nice hotel. Great service with excellent staff. Eric was a huge help when we lost our folder with all out tickets. He came through in a big way!! Best guy ever! We will stay here again. And swimming pools, outdoor movies, and roasted marshmallows are fantastic.

Overall it was a decent hotel. The room was clean, but we had issues with the shower and water pressure, and the AC unit would make a very distracting noise. If you want a microwave or fridge, you actually have to rent it. That was a bit ridiculous to me.

I went to all of the floors and checked the vending machines to find they were all sold out. The front desk had no answer to why that was the case. Luckily they do sell snacks/drinks at the front desk.

They do have 3 pools, but they were very small. The outdoor area with fire pits were nice though.

Customer service was hot and miss, but overall not a bad experience.

Well, I just killed a 2" cockroach in our 2nd floor room. Everything is dirty, we have a view of the dirty roof and a window that wont close all the way (its hot) or lock. My kids feet are black from walking on the carpet. The A/C has to be shut on and off to get it to work for short periods. The TV constantly shuts itself off. There are no fridges or microwaves, we had to rent a microwave for $10 a day. No breakfast, expensive room service. Overall, its really bad. Not having a comfortable place to relax after a long day of vacation activities really ruins things.

Where do I start! Just as we enter into the parking lot of the Resort, the manager send an email saying our reservation was cancelled. We'd made reservations months ago thought our Grand Hilton Vacation Membership. Fortunately, he was able to accommodate us. Upon entering the room, there was an pungent order that was unbearable. Of course, management said they're booked for the rest of the weekend and there's nothing they can do. The next day we were gone for the whole day only to come back to our room that was never cleaned! Lastly, we decided to join for the movie on the lawn only to be told that we were unable to enjoy our snacks. My kids missed out on the festivities because, they were not able to eat. Hotels & Resorts are suppose to be for relaxation. Instead, I felt like we were policed by there staff. I will never stay here again! Thank goodness we check in the morning! I was told that the Resort was under new management, at the rate they're going they won't last long. Next time we will stay at the Hyatt.

This Hotel is fantastic. The location is optimal, the staff fantastic, the rooms quiet and the beds comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. Lots to do also. 15 minutes to the river walk and Alamo, 5 minutes to Sea World.

Stay away from this hotel!!!!! My AC didn't work properly the entire time I was there. The toilet barely flushed and got clogged up a couple of times. The problems were reported with no resolution. I told them I was not satisfied when I checked out. When asked what could correct it, I asked about cancelling my room charges. I was told the general manager would follow up with me - do you think I heard anything back from him? Nope. The hotel is bland and dated. The rooms have crappy televisions with power outlets that didn't all work. Stay at the Courtyard by Marriott that's around the corner.
