My husband and I got married at this place so we have a bit of a soft spot for it. We went for happy hour and ended up just getting a room for the night. Everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I don't give praise lightly. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in both bar and restaurant where we had dinner. Food was beyond good and great value for money and service in both places attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I could go on but suffice it to say I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.response / report this review -

Awful customer service, very poor security. Our car was broken into while parked at the Sheraton parking garage, and when we tried to speak to the general manager about it (after speaking with numerous others at the hotel) she refused to call us back. All we wanted was a phone call and they wouldn't even do that!!! There's plenty of other hotels in Austin that understand what customer service means.
The lobby and common areas are nice and updated but the rooms need some refurbishment. The front desk staff was okay, but security overall is very lax! Our friends were solicited for money by some guy wandering through the hotel parking lot, and the hotel staff doesn't seem concerned about this issue, as they don't even have security cameras throughout the garage - only at the entrance and exit!response / report this review -

Friendly staff and great service. Awesome poolindoor and outdoor. Indoor hot tub and changing rooms. Nice large "backard" area. Groups can spread out, kids can run. Daily specials and music in the yard on weekends. Swanky decor and clean rooms and comfy beds. Late check out requests until 1 pmearly check in probably not as available because of the late checkouts but they'll secure your bags if you want to go explore.

I had the first room you come to after exiting the elevator! You would think all the foot traffic would make it noisy but that was not the case! I loved the convenience of being right there, as I am used to having to drag my luggage all the way down the hall. The room was beautiful: clean, wonderful shower with warm water and strong flow, a fridge(!), and more lighting than half the hotels I've stayed in. I loved it!

Hotel is really nice and fancy. Rooms are big and cozy. Really great to stay here for business purposes. The only problem is there is no proper restaurant in the hotel. Hotel has only one restaurant option which is Mexican which may not be taste of many people. Otherwise location and hotel is really good and I recommend to use it for all business purposes.

Good proximity to downtown area and a great staff. The path to rooms can be a bit labyrinthine at first but you will soon get used to it. The bar area is great. Nice, open feel. With the terraced pool area adjacent to it there are plenty of places to break out and work or relax. The staff are great. Attending an industry conference and the setup is working very well.

Stayed here for the second time for an annual conference. The hotel is very pretty in the lobby and restaurants area. The rooms could use an update but they were clean and the cleaning staff were responsive to guests. We received club access due to our starwood status and the club was fairly basic but the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was just fine and the wine and beer in the evenings were pay, not free. I enjoyed the quiet of the club to relax in the morning and evening. The location of the hotel is near to the Capitol, as in the title, and the surrounding area does not feel as if you could walk around safely, as I would in other areas of Austin.

I stayed at this location for a conference and enjoyed my stay immensely! The staff was professional and friendly, the conference spaces were cozy, and the restaurant and bar locations offered some delicious food. My room was comfortable but it did feel a bit dated given that the hotel is aiming for a professional, modern vibe. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying at this location again.

Our experience at the Sheraton was FANTASTIC! Mark at the front office was so accommodating. We arrived early for check in and he held our bags while we went for a quick swim and called us within 15 min to check into our beautiful room. The room was spacious, beautiful view of the Capitol building, and very clean. Mark called and checked on us when we arrived to the room to see how we liked it, and gave us advice on places to eat and enjoy live music and nightlife. He made our experience so special! I cannot thank him enough.
The room service has great food, and the hotel bar had great live music and drinks.
Overall the staff was professional, kind, friendly, thoughtful, and very energetic. Thank you all for such a great vacation!response / report this review -

Rooms were super clean and comfortable. The hotel employees were very kind, helpful and more than happy to accommodate us. The hotel itself gives off an entirely different vibe than the surrounding area in the best way. Between the live music, the bar, gym, and pool I found it hard to feel bored during my stay.

Very classy joint, felt much more upscale than the prices would suggest. In fact, the first word's out of my 4-year-old's mouth when we walked in was "Wow, Dad, this place is fancy!"
The room we stayed in was nice and didn't have any lingering odd smells, like a lot of places you've stayed at. Admittedly, the shower tile was cracked and the water pressure was poor, but it was a nice experience overall and the grounds were quite nice. If we need a hotel in the Austin capital area again, we'll stay here.response / report this review -

Loved this place. We checked in before our room was ready (we were early) and the manager directed us to the cozy lobby to wait. Within minutes we were served an entire bottle of wine, a plate of meats and cheeses and some mixed nuts at no charge. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was a bit small but was extremely clean and the bed was super comfortable. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance along with shopping and pretty much anything you might need. This was an oasis in the craziness that is Austin.

Great hotel, has everything you need to have a great Austin experience. The pool is huge, the rooms are clean and the hotel has a great vibe with lots to see as its in a great location.
Logan was our front desk representative and he made the check in process so seamless. He was extremely attentive, friendly and answered all our questions with a smile. He is the perfect definition of the first person you want to see at the guest services desk! Huge shout out to him!!
