Stayed here for Dragon*Con in September. I can honestly say that for all the places I've stayed for DCon, this one was my favorite. It was clean and had the most helpful staff out of all the others I've stayed. They were more than willing to go above and beyond for any request I made.
Extra towels? No problem. Extra sheet? Right away! And best of all, nothing went missing while I was out of the room.
I stayed here for a Model UN competition where we stuffed 4 people into a room and I can say, it fit us pretty well. The lobby feels very spacious and welcoming and the service was great; they were very human with us and truly did all they could to accommodate us. We stayed in the rooms that offered a twin bed and it did feel a little cramped for 4 people, however that was partially our fault ((yes college students are messy!)). The bathrooms were great with my only complaint being that the shower head was not too tall people friendly. All in all this hotel treated us very well, friendly staff, nice view (if you get luck like i did) and a nice bar/lounging area all the way at the top floor.
Had an awesome experience at this hotel. My flight came in at 11 am and I was at the hotel by 12. I asked the staff if there was an option to check in early and there was no hesitation and was given room keys. The room was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. I would have the say the best part of the room was the bathroom mirror and lighting! I wish I had such great lighting in my own bathroom at home. Thank you for the stay and if I am ever in ATL again, I know where I will be booking at.
The rooms are great, very spacious and comfortable. The hotel is in such a great place, so easy to access everything and very easy airport access from MARTA. The only reason it's not a 5 star is the staff. With the exception of the Bell desk, the staff was borderline illiterate, could not understand basic instructions, misspelled my name at every chance, and had a lot of trouble with the computers. The bar is the worst. I got my check, handed it back with my card to the waitress who processed it in front of me, then handed me back a totally different bill. She and several other staff couldn't figure out how to process the check. It was the strangest thing I've experienced in a hotel in a long time. I recommend the rooms but avoid the bar unless you want some really strange server interactions.
My stay at the Hilton Atlanta was a great experience. Clean room and guest services was Amazing. I had asked for extra pillows and they were delivered to the wrong room and guest services kept calling to check in and make sure I received them. Valet service was great, quick to call you a cab or give directions to where you need to go. The location of the hotel is convenient too, in walking distance of many great restaurants and activities. Would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Atlanta.
Generally, above average. No wow factor. The marketplace for coffee in the morning had a very long line making it difficult to get something quick for breakfast. Our room was fairly large and we enjoyed the view. There isnt a way to close the room door quietly and you can hear every room door shut in the hallway. Getting someone to answer a call at the front desk was impossible--tried 3x from the room and 2x from my cell, no luck. Nice hotel but needs some updating and additional attention at the front desk.
Older hotel, but kept up to an acceptable level. We stayed on the fourth floor, and the room walls are paper thin. The TV next door was on all night (not even very loud, either) and we could hear it like it was in our room. The AC has to be set to 62 degrees Fahrenheit just to maintain about 73 degrees. The valet was rude to us when you opt to self park (for $30 per night). And they kept our keys even though we wanted to just run in and check in. Took them 10 minutes to bring our keys back so we could go self park. Not worthy of the Hilton name, but in a convenient area. Stay here if you get a good deal ($100 a night or less), otherwise, choose a better option .
Worst hotel experience I've ever had and I've stayed at a $20/night hotel where the sheets LITERALLY smelled like sour milk. Upon arriving and checking in, I put a $100 refundable incident fee on my credit card and was told that should take care of the valet parking (valet was $40 a night) at the end of my trip. However, when I checked out I was told I still owed the valet $80 and it had not come out of the refundable deposit after all. Because I had paid the $100 fee, I no longer had the money to pay them an extra $80. Valet told me they had "no idea" when the hotel would refund my money and of course I still haven't seen any sort of refund in my account. The Atlanra Hilton basically held my car hostage because they had made a mistake when checking me out. They were rude and tried to blame me for the confusion. I'll never stay in a Hilton hotel again. The fees were highway robbery (a four minute in room phone call cost me $35) and the staff was complete useless and unpleasant. Save yourself the money and find ANYWHERE else to stay.
I stayed at this Hotel July 2016 and thought it would be a good choice if I just bumped up some of my amenities. I booked two executive level rooms (26th floor) and added valet ($36 nightly).
The best part about the room was the view. The bathrooms were very small. The beds are soft but sleeps well. I had asked for adjoining rooms with the Hilton representative but that didn't happen. The people in valet were really nice but the front desk staff left a lot to be desired. I had rooms 2618 and 2612 but the phones did not work properly. The desk representative told me that someone would look at it Monday. I checked out on Sunday.
When we arrived in our rooms we did not have enough towel sets so we called downstairs for them. We were brought all bath towels to both rooms. When we explained that we needed the set, inclusive of a hand and face towel, we were told that we should have been more specific!
Never again
I enjoyed my stay here. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. Only problem I had was that the parking garage was full and I had to pay to park across the street. I only paid for one night of parking and it was up to like 2am so when I got up in the morning my car was booted. I had to wait lime an hour for someone to come move the boot and it was like $75 to have it removes. The hotel will suggest you park there if their garage is full but they will not give you a headuos about the problems with the parking over there.
We went here to go to Nikolai's roof, and it was a great experience. The valets were really polite and got my car to me pretty quickly despite being busy. The hotel lobby was really clean as well. I recommend going to Nikolai's roof. I also stayed here for dragon con last year, and other than an elevator getting overweighted and stopping while we were there, my friends and I had a great stay!
The location could have been better in terms of the various stores that were open past 11 pm. That is the single complaint I have! Staff was amazing and the check in went smooth and seamless. Room cleaned to perfection and couldn't find a spec of dust in the corners. AMAZING!!!
I love this hotel! The lounge is popping and fun for an evening in. It's centrally located if you want to venture out. We didn't have to drive anywhere on our trip. There are walkways to the mall. We also caught shuttles to and from the trade show. Rooms were clean and beds were super comfortable. We had a great view of the Coca-Cola museum.
Overall the service was good. The bathroom vent were full of black stuff, not a big deal. Couldn't use the safe and there were no power plugs near the beds besides the one on the lamp. The hotel parking card didn't work for the 4 days I was there. Overall, the bed were comfy and more of a modern style setup, but you can tell it use to be a room that just renovate to newer look. Clock were old and phone system were old.
Arrived at 3PM and room was not ready so we decided to head out into town. Asked concierge about availability of tickets to aquarium - which were $15 higher each than we could have gotten on-line. My wife quickly found us an online deal that saved $20 ea over what concierge offered. Returned at 8PM after walking the town and enjoying the aquarium to find no rooms with king size beds available. Thought when they 'upgraded' us to executive suite we would get king size bed and free breakfast at no up-charge.. got to room and found that it was still not a king bed. After having such a great vacation throughout GA it really sucked sleeping in separate beds for the end of our vacation. I have never had a bad stay at a Hilton until now - not sure of my commitment to the brand after this stay not even asked on our way out how were things or if they could have made things better. Construction or not - there was no excuse for this.
