Nice clean hotel. Not full service or newest decor, but it was comfortable and the staff was really great.

Basic room, clean, has everything you need Seems to be ample parking. Didn't use outdoor pool or the gym. Great location for walking ( or short drive) to restaurants of many kinds, bars, movie theater, and shopping.

Great Hotel! Great Staff! I almost did not book this hotel due to some of the previous reviews. I am glad, I didn't listen to them and booked anyway. The front desk was very accommodating, and checked us in early. All the staff I encountered was friendly and helpful! The room was very spacious and clean. Would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

This hotel had seen better days. I think the staff tries to keep it clean and maintained, but that is hard to do when everything is worn out.

This hotel is AWFUL! The walls are paper thin, you literally can hear the people nextdoors FOOTSTEPS. No window coverings so the sunlight is constantly baking in. Had to call several times for noise complaints and staff didn't do much. Only decent thing about this place was the friendliness of the staff and the breakfast in the morning.

I can honestly say the only saving grace for this location is the staff. They were very professional and accommodating. I used to travel at least twice a month for work, and Hampton locations were among my preferred places to stay. I've been in Hampton Inns all over the US.

My wife and I booked a night at this Plano, TX location while our home was having work done on it to repair a water heater failure. The drying fans were really loud and after a week of the noise, we needed a night away from that. When we arrived at the Hampton, most of the lights in the sign on the building were burned out. It was now an "H In." When we walked into the lobby, there was a trash can in front of the check-in desk to catch water dripping from the ceiling. We figured stuff happens and sometimes you need to make due. We decided to roll with it. The young lady at the desk was very kind and polite, so we just went with it. We got our keys (cards) and proceeded to go to our room.

When we arrived at our room, we opened the door just in time to see what looked like about a 2" long cockroach skittering across the floor, moving toward the bed. We immediately shut the door and returned to the front desk to request a different room. When we arrived at the front desk, another guest (a woman) was there working out a resolution to some problem with the young lady working the front desk. When the young lady asked us what she could do to help us, I told her we needed another room and discretely told her that room has cockroaches. The other guest overheard us and said, "Oh you have cockroaches? We have bed bugs."

At this point my wife and I made the decision to just go home and deal with the fans. It was late and we were tired and didn't feel like beating what seemed to be a dead horse.

That said, I am not planning on ever returning to this location. If they have bed bugs, I'm out. If they fully remodel the hotel and maybe re-examine their housekeeping and maintenance practices, maybe I'll reconsider. There are too many hotels and other chains in the North Dallas area to bother trying to fish for a decent stay at a hotel with a background of roaches and bed bugs.

Front desk clerk Erik was very nice and helpful! I forgot ice packs for my son's medications, Walgreens hasn't opened yet so Erik grabbed some plastic bags and helped me " make do" so i could make temporary ice packs. The room was nice and cold, clean.

Hampton Inns are always are our go to hotel. We travel a lot and we have never been let down by a Hampton Inn, always nice clean rooms, the friendliest and most helpful front desk staff. We checked in with JT our first day. He was very friendly and able to tell us where the nearest grocery store was and tell us about the area. The second day we were greeted by Jane and Moquadaa when returning to the hotel and we talked to them for a few minutes before going up to our room. It's really nice to have such friendly people around when traveling away from home. Overall, it was a great experience and we would come back if we are in the Plano area again.

I cakt be sure that our room was typical, because we were the last room at the end of the hall on the top floor. It felt small, but I'm pretty sure it would have been much more spacious if there wasn't also a pull-out sofa and coffee table in the room too. In addition, the room had some issues, both minor (no coffee creamer in the room) and major (nails sticking up out of the floor, bathroom door didn't close, microwave was broken, hot water was scarce). HOWEVER, I am not sure that this wasn't just a case of the last room on the top floor just not being used much. Besides, the staff was SO eager to please and polite (they fixed the microwave immediately), I have no doubt that if I had asked, they would have moved me to another room immediately. In fact, the staff is the one really great thing about this place, and the reason I don't give it fewer stars. Super friendly, very helpful, really wanting to make your stay as nice as possible.
Breakfast is free, but it's a case of you get what you pay for (scrambled eggs defrosted daily, gummy oatmeal - coffee however, is excellent, and available all day). Pool is small, but clean. Free HBO, but unlike other hotels I've been to, you can switch inputs on the tv, which means you should be able to use a chromecast to stream whatever you want (I've forgot mine this time, so I didn't actually get to try it out). In fact, the standard free WiFi is fast enough to watch streaming video, which means free entertainment (also not common in most hotels I've been to).
In the end, depends on what you want out of your experience. If you're looking for luxury, this place isn't going to be much help. But if you just need a place to sleep for a few days with free entertainment options, this place will do the job nicely.
But don't let them put you into room 500.

Decent rooms. Ac units shut off in intervals, and takes a while to cool a room. No hot water at night, only warm water.
