It was best experience with Hampton. Great customer service and nice and clean room. Popcorn and cookies for welcome. Better price at last minute.

I had a great experience at this hotel. It is conveniently located and there was ample paid ($7) parking. There was some construction going on but they promptly ended construction well before nightfall. Everyone at the hotel was professional and helpful. This was my second visit to the hotel and I will likely return in the future.

No never again! Late arrival and tired or I would have found another. Old hotel. Dirty toilet, drink rings on desk. $7 parking?? Really? Sandpaper towels. Nothing around at night except for the raccoon family living on the new canopy. Staff does not care. Also under rennovations and screws and lessening left by crew. Again, staff could care less about it. Great breakfast includes waffles with whipped cream! 2 elevators.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around

It is under construction so the hallways is scotch tape covered and makes a loud popping noise for every step waking everyone you walk by. The rooms and lobby were clean and had a nice towel sculpture on the bed. Beds were comfortable and no outside noise other than the popping hallway. Room was small for the price so three stars overall. Breakfast was great! Lots of options like yogurt, scrambled eggs, muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, and turkey bacon. Didn't use the gym or pool so no feedback

Short version they first messed up my reservation double booking me and then cancelled my reservation without telling me. They also had unsafe maintenance work.
Long version: I have been staying in Florida for the last month working for the government supporting hurricane relief efforts in the area. I flew in from Washington State and as such have been bouncing from hotel to hotel. The majority of my stay was at this hotel and stayed for just short of 2 weeks in total. I requested one additional day after my return from work in South Florida. I scheduled the reservation in person before I left. Immediately after leaving the hotel/checking out I noticed they booked me for the entire week rather than just the one day following my return to Jacksonville. I called and fixed the reservation over the phone and thought things were fixed. 3 days later upon my return I found out they had simply cancelled my reservation. I have the reservation on my Hilton honors app and to which it has the appropriate dates but says late cancellation. The clerk at the desk says this only shows up if it's cancelled within 48 hrs and I made no contact to the hotel in this period. They never called me or emailed me they simply cancelled it. This being a busy game day weekend they couldn't get me a room and instead booked me in another hotel room across town at twice the rate I put in my reservation for. I am also a Hilton silver member but apparently that meant nothing. It is also worthy to mention that the hotel was conducting maintenance work during my stay in an unsafe manner. They were doing work on the upper floors of the exterior of the hotel in a man lift directly above a side entrance. Not only was there no warning signs or 'do not walk here or exit here' there was no over head cover to keep any debris or tools from falling on guests walking out the door. I work construction by trade and this would be a huge safety violation just about anywhere. They also had trash bag like plastic covering numerous walls around the hotel, many of them with fans blowing around them. My initial guess is they had water damage and/or mold they were trying to cover up. If I could give 0 stars I would.

With a name like Hampton, I expected a little better. Staff was courteous and helpful with around town recommendations to visit but the room needed some much needed maintenance. The beds were ok at best but the bathroom had drywall patches cracking and falling plus the tub surface was cracking and peeling off. The hallways were also lined with dryer fans blowing up the walls all night at full blast making it difficult to rest.

Rooms are very nicely decorated. Desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Fitness room. Has treadmill, elliptical, bike and free ear buds.

Hotel is under renovation so I hope that explains ROACHES in my bathroom and drawer. There are very loud exhaust fans running all night long on 2nd floor. Bathroom not cleaned thoroughly. In another room the toilet overflowed twice. Exhaust fans did not ease the smell. Between the roaches and plumbing problems we asked and were moved to better rooms.

Beware of rooms on 2nd floor!

Free breakfast buffet had limited choices but it is sufficient to start your day and the food seems fresh.

I stayed here as I was traveling back to southwest florida and it was a horrible experience. The room was uncomfortably hot, the outlets on both lamps didn't work, three different times I heard someone trying to get into my room, and my bike was stolen off of the back of my car during the night. They didn't have security cameras so my bike is a lost cause. I am a very easy to please type of person but this was just ridiculous and I don't think I've ever felt so uncomfortable somewhere. One positive is the front desk staff, they were very helpful and nice.

When we pulled up there were a lot of people hanging around the front entrance. We visit the area often because we have a child with special needs and his insurance pays for our lodging. They asked for our credit card for incidentals and I gave it of course that is understandable anywhere. We returned home to review our statement and had a $14 charge called the first time was advised this should have been paid for by insurance with the room and I would get a call back. Days later I called back because of no return call. I was then informed that no that parking was considered a incidental. Well on the page under amenities it states Free Parking. The refrigerator couldn't keep anything cold and the room had not been vacuumed and had someone else's nasty sock under the edge of the bed. I guess we will tell the insurance company to consider a different hotel next time because there are more in the same 119.00 price range they paid. Btw they have their own parking lot so why anyone would pay to park is beyond me! Parking listed as free is actually 7.00 per night isn't that false advertising? I guess since no one has responded I will be letting the company that books our room for October not to book here again. Not that 7.00 will break the bank but if you advertise it for free it's the principle!!! We frequent this area and we also have a lot of friends that so to. When I called they told me parking was an incidental no a incidental is if I ruin something of yours or if it is missing not parking!

It was a quick check in and quick check out. Continental breakfast was ok, but not great quality. The beds were super hard, which I hate because it hurts my back. My husband who likes firm beds even said it was too hard. The rooms were clean (towel swans, a nice touch) and the shower was wonderful with instant hot water and excellent pressure which is something I am very picky about.

Had a great stay at this hotel when I was in town for a wedding. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and up to date. I would have absolutely no problem staying here again if I'm in the area!

I stayed with a large group for an extended 2-week deployment. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to our daily needs. The breakfast was well stocked with a nice variety of hot and cold items. My team was working downtown and the hotel's location is perfect for commuting back and forth. The free sky tram is a great option to cross the river if you don't want to drive or walk over. Overall, a great stay with some very nice staff members.
