My mom and I came to celebrate her birthday and had a wonderful visit. Inn keepers were helpful in recommending food & entertainment. Breakfast was great, too!

My husband and I have had a wonderful time. Breakfast was delicious and the French country room is roomy and the bed was so nice. Love the pillows and the friendly service. There was a social hour and reservations made for dinner and when we came in for the evening home made cookie set out.

The house was beautiful and definitely exceeded my expectations!! The owners were very helpful in making reservations for dinners and events, supplying needed items for our beach day, and paid close attention to our requests concerning the breakfast menu. We had a wonderful experience and will visit again in the future!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Theresa and Bill definitely top the list as far as personability. The island is a fantastic place to spend some quality time and the house is a gorgeous mix of Victorian styles from
when the house was built as well as modern comfort. Theresa went out of her way to cater to our specific needs and interests while staying on Amelia. In short, there's a reason why Fairbanks House is on the national register.response / report this review -

Tell me this does not look like a perfect breakfast! What an amazing time my wife and I had here. Teresa and Bill were the perfect hosts and the happy hour was an added bonus. A great way to get the guests mingling. The bath tub in the Hideaway was tremendous! Water was nice and hot and the jets were a perfect speed. Don't forget to ask about the secret handshake! Will definitely stay here again.

We spent my Birthday weekend at the Fairbanks House ..IT WAS AMAZING !!! We stayed in the Schoolhouse Cottage..it was beautiful, spotlessly clean, the Innkeepers were wonderful and so helpful !!
The Breakfast was delicious everyday !, They arranged a horse drawn carriage tour for us and it was so Perfect !
Bedtime snacks were left in our cottage every night and the housekeeping staff was so quick and thorough!
We will definitely return !!
LOVED EVERYTHING !!

I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. The House is Gorgeous, clean and the Hostess are very courteous. The food is amazing delicious! There are certain foods that I cannot have and Theresa made sure that I had the perfect breakfast every morning. Everything she makes is healthy and delicious. They have social hour every day and it's a nice way to meet the other guests. The house is located within walking distance from the main street. Our room was perfect and the most important thing that "I Loved" about this Inn was that is "Smoke Free" that is a Plus for me.
Both Theresa and Bill are so devoted to their guest and they make sure they stay is perfect and a memorable one. On the day that my husband and I checked out Saturday, I did not noticed that I had left behind my
sweater in the room (a gift from my husband for Christmas) when we reach our final destination on Monday. "I realized that I had forgotten my sweater. Right away, I call the Inn and Bill confirmed that my sweater was there and they will mailed back to me. I received my sweater on that Friday in the mail. Thank you so much!!
