Missed a flight and got stuck overnight in Ft. Lauderdale -- this was the most affordable hotel in town and I was NOT disappointed! incredible, accommodating staff -- we ordered dominos to the room, it was kind of heaven.
Went there during the hurricane for shelter and no one told us the place was renovating. When the hurricane hit on Saturday night i thought the windows were going to break. My room was soaked due to rain coming through the window. I had to put a bowl and towel to keep from being flooded. That place needs to shut down while renovating. Not safe for customers.
I live in the area of this hotel and am glad! Yesterday when I got home from work, it was 92 degrees in my apartment, my A/C was broken! Since the repairman could not come until the next day, and I have a small child, I needed to find a place to sleep FAST! I drive by this location frequently and was well aware of the renovations, but that did not deter me. The front desk staff was very pleasant and gave me a locals discount! My room was clean, quiet, soooo comfortable, and my daughter and I had a great time watching the Disney Channel! I booked an additional night this morning, I don't care if they fixed my air, that bed at the Hampton was so comfy, I need another! The breakfast was also very good, lots to choose from, those ladies did a nice job and were so sweet! The entire staff was stellar. Thanks to all for making what could have been a huge annoyance a really nice stay-cation!
At first glance, we were definitely shocked to see the scaffolding covering the exterior of this hotel. With closer inspection, you can tell that this so called renovation is stalled or more likely halted entirely. The boards on the scaffolding were old and rotting. The actual scaffolding was rusty and there was mold on the wood laying around for the construction. The machinery that is supposed to be used for renovations obviously hasn't run for a while. The construction has probably been halted for years by the appearance. Meanwhile, the building underneath the construction scaffolding is crumbling and rotting and appears unsafe. We were afraid that this structure would collapse on us in the night. It actually looked and felt like a haunted house. The room was okay, but we obviously couldn't feel comfortable with what was going on with the entire structure. This property was totally misrepresented on the internet and I'm surprised that they are still in business.
Hotel being remodeled but still a great place to stay. Wonderful Continental breakfast and only a short distance from a mall or shopping center. Short ride to Miami and cruise ships
If I could give it less than 1 star I would. From the moment we arrived we were shocked to learn construction was being done on the hotel. no wonder the rate was so cheap. We decided to overlook it and go to our room. After leaving to go explore of the surrounding Fort Lauderdale area we came back to find bugs crawling over our luggage. After already struggling with the hotel to find hypoallergenic pillows we were done. The hotel offered to give us another room but we decided that we cannot take it anymore. We transferred to another hotel in hopes of getting a decent nights rest.
Older motel and the rooms could do with some updating. Currently undergoing renovations which will probably be helpful. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, and staff was friendly. Breakfast standard Hampton Inn fare. Would recommend if looking for a bargain.
The outside appearance is being worked on at the moment but the inside is clean, the room is nice, the beds are comfy, there is a microwave, fridge, and other amenities that's are a nice touch. There is a swimming pool, breakfast is included. It is easy to find right off of i95. For the price I paid it is a great place to stay. I've enjoyed my stay very much. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and be a returning guest.
This was the best hotel that we stayed at on our week long vacation in Florida. The rooms were very nice and clean and the beds were just right as well. They did not roll to the middle at all. Bathroom was also very clean. The free breakfast in the morning had a lot to choose from, including make your own waffles, which is my favorite. We only stayed one night, but overall it was a very good experience. I would recommend staying here.
Currently the hotel is under renovation, but it did not affect the overall cleanliness or great atmosphere of the hotel. There are some construction vehicles and equipment in the parking lot, but they are stored in a location that doesn't take too much space away from being able to park comfortably close to a door that is on a side where your room is located. The room was very clean, and the breakfast had several great choices some of which included bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes, waffles, some muffins and other pastries, and several choices of cereal.
