The hotel itself was gorgeous! It was clean, the staff however needs some improvement, when we checked in we were over charged 250 dollars, since we paid by debit, we had to wait 6 hours for the money to be credited back fully then be charged the correct amount. They promised all kinds of extra things for our trouble. We again waited several hours for them to fulfill the promises. By then there was a shift change and we had to explain it all again. We will be going back to San Antonio again but will probably be staying, elsewhere.

The hotel was very nice and in a convenient downtown location. It was right next to the river walk with an accessible entry way to it. There is a Ruth Chris steakhouse at the bottom level. The parking is all underground and can get noisy. I don’t think the doors for the parking on each level are handicap accessible though.

The convention center is on the first few levels which make it an easy trip down the elevator if you are staying at the hotel. The one big downside is that they charge extra for WiFi in the ballrooms.

Location ideal, right at the end of the Riverwalk, next to the convention centre and a block away from the mall. Hotel parking a little pricey, so if you're NOT going to be in/out, it's probably cheaper to park across the road for $11 a day. Food & drinks at the bar and downstairs at Ruth's Chris were excellent. Club Lounge access was worth the premium, and we had great service all round. Club Room was a little small - there wasn't even room for a set of drawers! - but it was well appointed & clean.

The hotel is very clean and the staff is really friendly. It is connected to the convention center so it is easy to get to meetings quickly. The bar service was really good and the bar food was also pretty good. I had the Buffalo wings several times and each time they came out super hot and fresh. I wouldn't say they were the best wings I have ever had but they were still delicious because of how fresh they were.

The staff were great and accommodated us having a baby! The lobby was beautiful and the location was convenient. The reason for the 3 star is the room needed wear and tear repairs. We let the lady at the front desk know when checking out that they may want to schedule some repairs in the room to be nice and she said they aren't really making repairs to the rooms that haven't gone under their renovations. She said hopefully we can come back next year when it's done. As we would like to do so, but paying full price for a room that's not up to par is unfortunate.

Excellent service. Beautiful facilities. I asked for a crib. The crib came with an actual crib sheet and a baby sized blanket, as well as baby shampoo, lotion and baby powder. The crib was in the room when we arrived and I was able to put my little one down for a nap immediately. It was such a relief after a long day of traveling. The front desk service is top notch. Facilities are gorgeous. Views are amazing. A great hotel.
In case you're not familiar with normal crib service in a hotel, they usually just give you bed sheets, which is NOT what you want in a crib with a baby.

Great experience. Clean rooms! Staff was pleasant and friendly. Very convenient location to Riverwalk. The only downside was Ruth's Chris Steakhouse was closed during our stay, but the hotel did provide a list of great restaurants nearby for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We will definitely book again with this hotel!

The hotel was the location of the event which made it very convenient. The amenities in the room like ear cotton swabs and a fridge were all a nice touch. They even brought a sewing kit to my room to fix a torn costume. Amazing service. Plenty of pillows and towels. Room cooled nicely.

My family and I stayed one night at Grand Hyatt San Antonio, and it was relieving to return to a clean room with a city view at the end of the day. The room is nicely decorated, there is a refrigerator, two comfortable queen beds, and a lounge chair that my 13 year old sister used to sleep on. She said it was comfortable. The location is convenient if you're looking to look around the River and the Alamo. The staff were amiable. Overall, it's a good place to stay if you don't mind the price.

Location is walking distance to downtown, the Alamo and River walk. The hotel staff are extra courteous and helpful and very accommodating. Rooms are nice with excellent views of downtown. The ONLY downside is the room service menu is exclusively offered by Ruth's Chris (which is located inside the hotel), making the menu a tad pricey.

Great location. Helpful staff. Nice rooms. Easy access to the convention center. My room had only two drawers for clothes, which seemed sparse. It worked though, and I enjoyed my stay.

Nice hotel with a few caveats. One - when we got to the hotel, we were told that the parking lot was full and that valet parking ($$) was the only option, only to find out inside that the self park was available. The receptionist at the check-in counter didn't seem too enthusiastic. She didn't give us any information about the hotel, the amenities or even close-by restaurants/attractions. We had two rooms and she didn't even tell us they wouldn't be on the same floor. Lastly, we had asked for an iron to replace the defective one that was in the room - it came after about 45 minutes of waiting, by which time we were already leaving the room. Overall, the hotel is clean and well maintained but service and attention to guest satisfaction needs improvement. We will consider other hotels in the vicinity next time.

I came to San Antonio for a dental conference and I have come in the years past many times and stayed at the grand Hyatt by the convention center but something about this year was so much better!
The valet guy's were so sweet offered everyone water while we waited for our vehicles, didn't drive them fast or crazy! (Which some do) the valet manager or supervisor at the time even offered little boys hot wheels cars to have. The front desk check in young lady was nice and accommodating. My room was spotless and beautiful. We ate at Ruth's Chris multiple times while we were there and it was beyond amazing. The hotel bar wait staff was prompt and our drinks and snacks were so delicious! I recommend this hotel 100% if you're ever staying in San Antonio!!! Thank y'all for the amazing experience!

This was the most unaccommodating hotel I have ever stayed at in hundreds of other hotel visits. The price would indicate that their main focus is on service and quality but that was far from the truth. I gave the staff several opportunities to change my mind but at every reasonable request we were turned down. I even told one manager this Hyatt was making me only choose Marriott from now on and he didn't seem to care he just said he was sorry but their policies were inflexible. Mine was not an isolated incident several others who were attending the convention meeting with me had similar experiences with simple requests. One of my associates asked for a cookie while we were standing in the lobby and the desk clerk said those were only offered at check-in as a one time offer. Couldn't believe the attitudes. I assure you Marriott is not stingy with their cookies and try hard to accommodate their guests. Next time I have a convention at a Hyatt I will stay at the nearest Marriott instead. I will also try and influence our association to not use Hyatt anymore for our meetings. I can not understand as a business owner myself why a company would try and save a few dollars at the potential cost of thousands of dollars. Not a smart move. This kind of attitude and outlook only works when there is no competition. See ya Hyatt!
