Location is great for the price. We got a cyber Monday deal for $120. Just a one night stay getaway for us. During Christmas weekend. Park at event center for $10 overnight parking! No issues with room or staff.
For a business conference, this hotel was great. The staff was accommodating and kind, great bar, and the room was clean and quiet large. Most of the rooms have been upgraded, but I was a little shocked that the bed, not the bedding, was stiff and dated. Also, if you are grabbing an Uber, make sure the driver knows you are going to the Marriott Riverwalk, not the Marriott Rivercenter. Both exist and are across the street from each other. As a bonus, there is access to the Riverwalk from the hotel, but you are close to the end and will have to walk a little to get to more restaurants and entertainment.
This hotel is a joke. Have a reservation for Riverwalk? No matter. You'll readily be bumped over to Rivercenter if you're a lesser than without points. "At least they're giving me some points for a miserable experience," you think to yourself. Psych! It's been over a month and I have yet to get the points promised added to my account. Not only that but I need the invoice before I can get my card paid. I've called no less than 5 times and have yet to get my bill. Avoid this place like the plague.
Great location. It's right across from the convention center and right on the Riverwalk. The service is good; the rooms are spacious. The restaurant is affordable and the food is good. The lobby and lounging area is also very spacious. Parking here is very expensive.
Right location on the Riverwalk. I prefer the old Marriott or the new Hyatt Grand Marquis. Because of the ambience of the rooms. We enjoyed the concierge floor and recommend it. Also the walk along the River Walk is well worth staying at one of those waterfront hotels. At Christmas this is especially good place for lighting and decoration.
The rooms are a little on the small side, but I've stayed here several times and have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the whole hotel and the great service. The location is perfect for just about anything you want to do downtown - a short walk to the Alamo, Tower of Americas, the Alamo dome, and of course the Riverwalk. One of my favorite hotels!
I am currently staying at this hotel for a conference. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! I arrived early, so I was concerned I would have to keep all my luggage with me for hours. However, they promptly cleaned a room and got me checked in right away! The room is clean and the staff is very professional and helpful.
I had a great time in San Antonio the Marriott was the icing on the cake. They provided great amenities & location location location You had a diverse array of restaurants inside hotel ,gift shops,a computer area in the lobby, great decor,& adjacent to the mall.I can't wait to bring my family. This was a business trip but they made me forget I was working. THANKS MARRIOTT STAFF.
We really enjoyed our experience. We'd had a rough week and needed a little treat. So we drove the hour into downtown. Emily at the front desk was so helpful and pleasant. The view from the 29th floor was spectacular, especially at night! We could see all of downtown lit up and the river just below.
Only thing that would have made it better was if there was a on Adults Only pool and a hot tub/sauna. The fitness center was highly equipped and the proximity to downtown activities was with in walking distance to city center. Gilberto with room service was very friendly and professional. We really loved the champagne, bowl of fresh berries and chocolate covered strawberries. Thank you so very much for making our stay special. We feel so refreshed. Mission Accomplished!
The San Antonio Riverwalk Marriott was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Staff was extremely friendly, helpful and well trained in customer service. Any question that we had was answered, their suggestions on places to visit and how to get there was extremely helpful. Each and every staff member (front desk, valet, maid service) all went above and beyond to make our experience a wonderful and memorable one. I would highly recommend this hotel for others whether that be for pleasure or business. They all did! One valet worker went above and beyond when my GPS was not working to provide me with directions to my venue with a sincere smile. The front desk personnel also went above by allowing my 10 year old son to borrow a Sharpie to bring to his first concert just in case he seen Shawn Mendes. When we returned the marker, he truly made an impression on my son for his kind words and thoughtful attitude.
Very upscale hotel. Everything was clean and modern. The valet service was quite expensive though and it was a little tricky to find your way around at first. The staff was nice and the elevators were fast and worked well. The Riverwalk is right outside the hotel which is very convenient. Overall I had a great experience.
Great Riverwalk location. Close to shops, restaurants, and the Alamo. Rooms are updated, modern, and clean. Staff was friendly, responsive, and helpful. Great hotel whether you're staying for work or leisure. A great choice of stay for the San Antonio area.
Rooms are nice but not great. There is no desk for working (I'm here for work) in the room. The hotel seems fairly clean but the lobby smells funky. Fitness center is not bad. Overall decent, just not great. I'd stay here again without expecting amenities. Location is great.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around
The staff was great!! I have only stayed there once but definitely going back when the timing is right. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the river walk. Great night time views!
They have an indoor/outdoor pool. Lounge chairs and wicker chairs on the outside deck. Tables and chairs on the inside deck. Full service gym.
They do have a concierge lounge with limited hours on the weekends.
