Our waiter was very impatient and rude. The pizza was okay (thin) thick good. Been 20+years since we went. Newer bigger with nice quiter floors. We were main floor by the bar with little kids so hard to talk/hear. But atmosphere still cool.

It's always amazing how bad service can really ruin a dining experience. I have nothing but compliments on the food. Great pizza! But to have consistency on something as simple as getting a drink refill left allot to be desired. I found myself having to walk up to the area where they serve the drinks to ask for a refill. That wasn't the worst part. Worse part was after asking one of the guys for a refill it was done in such a manner as if he was doing me a favor. Maybe I'll try a different Ginos location next year when i visit Chicago again and hope that the management there is more selective in their hiring. Great food experience bad service experience.

The atmosphere here was great! The food was a bit of a let down. I would like to give it a second chance since everyone seems to love the place. The service was quick and the staff was very friendly. If the food would have been better it for sure would be a 5 star review.

A staple in Chicago you must stop by and eat pizza while you're there. The wait is usually about 20 minutes but well worth it. They offer great choices of beer and wine and desserts. The deep dish would have your mouth watering before it arrives at the table and the lunch specials are very reasonable. It's a great place to visit and a staple of Chicago

Deep Dish to die for!
We arrive at Gino's late on a Monday night - we were a large group and we were told it was a bit of a wait. Even though the patio was closed, the manager/owner got us some chairs and allowed us to order drinks while we waited for a table inside. Turns out the restaurant has 3 floors and the night we were there only the first floor was open. Well they opened the second floor for us so we had our own private dining area which was neat. The atmosphere is cool - the walls are covered with pastel writing from previous customers. The food - I've had deep dish before and i wasn't super impressed. This pizza changed my mind. It was absolutely delish - the sauce was fresh and the crust was nice and light. The beer was great to of course :) A re-visit is in order next time i'm in Chicago

This spot will hit your pizza spot! Deep dish Pizza takes about 45 minutes to cook and sometimes there's a long wait depending on the day and time. Call first.

Solid Pizza and the atmosphere is really unique. This spot is pretty legendary and is definitely a crowd favorite. If you go to Chicago I definitely recommend checking it out. You won't be disappointed.

The parking is really limited due to it being in the city, but they do offer $17 valet service. So why not.

Went there with a large group and we're very accommodated. A bit pricey - and the deep dish takes about 45 minutes to cook, but the staff was smart, kind, and pro-active in the way they prepared you for the experience.

It was super tasty, deep dish was good and the hand tossed was also tasty. Bread sticks were nothing special but good.

The serving staff was above average - and promptly kept us all full of waters without getting snarky about ALL the water we were drinking. We'd been walking a ton from the navy pier.

Highly recommend!

BEWARE of the Shorty waiter with specs by the bar area!!!!
Let me state that the Pizza is not bad, it is a very nice deep dish treat. Though my whole dining experience was horrible because of the rude waiter I unfortunately got assigned. Terrible service, I had to call him myself few times just so that I could get water, beer, napkins I mean it was just plain bad experience (least you'd expect at a popular place like this). I ordered for a beer & being close to the bar counter I could see that the bartender had poured it promptly but our guy took 15 minutes to deliver it (that too when I again asked for it & that too not on a busy day/time). So obviously at the end of our meal (which I was hoping we finish soon) I expressed my displeasure. We walked out just to realize we forgot our baby's feeding bottle & went back in to check. The guy rudely says no there wasn't any (I'm pretty sure he threw it away). Not coming back to this place again!!!

Very superstitious - writings on the wall Loved Gino's, got a large Chicago deep dish pizza during my visit to the Windy City and very glad I got it here! A friend recommended the place so I decided to try it, not knowing what to expect. I was both perplexed and mesmerized by all the writings and signatures covering pretty much everything except the employees themselves, it's a unique establishment that makes for a memorable visit! Prices are higher & expect a wait to get in, but they circulated people pretty quickly and I didn't have to wait long to be seated. Does take roughly 45 minutes to get food on account of the restaurant's popularity & busyness, not a surprise or unreasonable for a restaurant like this though & they tell you this ahead of time when ordering so you know what wait time to expect for food. Trust me it's worth it! And tasted just as good the next day as leftovers.

Only reason I am giving this visit two stars is because of the service! The food was fantastic and everyone was great, except for our server. We understand the wait time is long for the pizza and it is well worth it, however we went over 45 minutes before I had to track someone down telling them we haven't had refills since we sat down. I also asked for water and was given carbonated water and didn't have a chance to tell him it was I correct due to never being checked on. Our appetizer was delivered and plates were cleared, both times and were never asked if we needed anything. It wasn't until we complained to another staff member, told our server our issues and then he came back again that he asked if we wanted refills, 50 minutes later. Not a good experience in my mind.

The deep dish pizza was awesome! I was super hungry, but could barely finish two slices. Definitely worth the 45 minute wait, but just plan ahead so you aren't too rushed. The restaurant has a great vibe to it, and they brew their own beer as well!

I dined here today and was impressed with the cleanliness of the location and the friendliness of the staff. I ordered a lunch special with a mini deep dish, salad, and a drink. The food was ready immediately, likely a leftover of the lunch rush. The pizza tasted pretty good. The crust had a sourdough flavor to it and was pretty crunchy. My only complaint was the flatware. It was too flimsy to cut the pizza into fourths so I had to tear the mini pizza apart with my hands. All in all a great place. I'd say 4.5 out of 5 stars.

This is it. Right here. The one, the only. The best!

Giordano's is the best. Now granted, if you are from Chicago then the best pizza that you know of is your neighborhood pizza place. That's just how it goes. However, Giordano's is a local chain. And there's usually one nearby.

Chicago is obviously known for deep dish pizza. But, what most people don't realize, is that people from Chicago rarely eat the deep dish pizza. Chicagoans like thin crust pizza. Fact. The deep dish is good as a treat once in a while, but you're always going to get a thin crust.

My personal favorite, and the only thing I ever order from Giordano's, thin crust sausage and green pepper. Nothing fancy. That's it. Perfection.

Like I said, Giordano's does do a good stuffed deep dish. A very good stuffed deep dish. On the rare occasion that I do get it, I typically get sausage and spinach. Can't go wrong with that either.

Would I go back? Yes. I always do. In fact a few locations have popped up in a few different cities around the country and I seek them out too. Giordano's is one of two places that I need to hit every time I'm in Chicago. It'll never let you down. And no matter what location you go to, you're still getting the same high quality Pizza. You will not be disappointed.
