We recently had a wedding here and it was beautiful! My wife and I both had zero complaints about our ceremony and reception and would definitely recommend any prospective couple's to have their wedding here! Dawn, our wedding planner, was spectacular and helpful in any way she could be. We felt right at home and loved every minute.
Easy to find right on the main drag in Lake George. The staff catering my workplace's holiday party we're attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The food was good.
The hotel itself is a bit dated, but nice. The walls are thin, you can hear the neighbors and people in the hallway easily. Breakfast was not included but it was good and not too expensive. We got a great deal on Groupon in the offseason and got a room on the top floor with a lake view, there is no way we could have got a better deal anywhere else. The view is amazing will the sunrise over the lake in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.
The kids loved it! Perfect for family fun and museum has a ton of cool exhibits about the French and Indian war. Must go for a summer of fall retreat
Our go to place when visiting Lake George. Rooms are always clean and staff is very friendly. Opening the window in the morning to a beautiful lake view is fantastic. The White Lion restaurant is nice and convenient for breakfast. Unfortunately no continental breakfast, but the quality is far superior. The only negatives I can think of is when a wedding or other large function is going on, it can be a bit loud in the room.
We stayed here for the N.Y. balloon festival. It was a perfect location. Close to so many things within walking distance. Balloon festival was about a 15 min drive south. Staff was helpful and friendly. We went September 20th to the 24th. During the week, the town was dead, but the weekend was busy and buzzing with people everywhere. Beautiful lake. Gorgeous views. The fort was right next door,q too. I could see where there would be plenty to do in the summer, as more businesses would be open. But all in all, we had a great time.
Wifi was horrible, however the rooms were very clean and the staff was very nice. There seemed to be some odd rules with things such as the use of their personal safes. Make sure to read the booklet in the room so you can make an informed decision and not get caught off guard by surprise charges. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would be willing to stay there again
Beautiful grounds and event center. Staff is friendly and good was delicious. The center is right by the water so the views were awesome.
Nice grounds. Very clean rooms. The decor was nice and cozy. Staff was nice and courteous. Not a fan of how much it cost to stay per night. It's on the expensive side and doesn't include breakfast.
Place location was great. Not a Hilton but rooms were clean big enough for family of 4. The bathroom was nice and big with separate stand up shower and bathtub. Breakfast was good but not free. The attention we received at breakfast from staff could have been better but the food was good. The pool left more to be desired. The indoor pool was really small and the outdoor one was closed. It was kind of cold so I understand that it was closed. Overall good place to stay, I would visit again
Overnight guest. Great view. Everything in room was great. Bought on groupon, so it was a great deal. Location is great walked to a great breal fast place. Locals and staff are friendly and helpful. I would come here again.
Best place to stay in Lake George with the most action in the heart of Lake George Village. The staff goes above and beyond to please all the guests. Premier Place in Lake George to have your wedding or function
Beautiful view on Lake George, ideally located, walking distance to the main avenue, restaurants, bars, shops. The pool was a little dirty and crowded, but that is to be expected on a hot summer day. Employees were nice. Rooms need to be refurbished and the place feels old, but overall it's okay for a short stay. However, I would not book for more than 2 nights.
I went with my fiancée, my mother, and my fiancée's maid of honor to a food tasting at the hotel's conference center for our upcoming wedding. The rooms were well lit, nicely furnished, and overall accommodating for everyone. We loved the food as there were a lot of well prepared options. The pasta bar was excellent! Our only critique would be that the event seemed overcrowded for the space and time allotment. There were large lines waiting for food and some of the spaces were cramped like the aisles. Overall though, it was a pleasant experience and we look forward to having our wedding in the "White Lion" room!
I used this hotel as a base point for a bit of hiking in the Adirondacks. Plenty of great hiking spots within 30 minutes. Check out cat mountain or shelving rock falls. The staff were friendly and knew the area well. Breakfast at the restaurant was really tasty. Beautiful dining room with a nice view. Room was a decent size and clean. The lounge in the hotel was comfy and was a good place to read a book by the fire. Great views of the lake and mountains.
