I'm sure in its day, this place was the place to be. Unfortunately, now it's a place not to be. The buildings are run down, the rooms are in desperate need of an update and the roads are full of potholes and bumps. Spoke to some locals who didn't even know the place was still open and thought it had closed years ago. Luckily we only spent one night there and at $99 a night in the Fall is way over priced for what they did not have. Bathrooms are tile and linoleum with yellow print, no hairdryer or refrigerator in rooms. Could hear the people above us walking back and forth. Thought it was a horse resort as well and there were no horses. Had to go down the road for that. Very disappointing and would not go back. Sad because with some updating and care this place could be great.
We just finished a long weekend at roaring brook ranch. The meals were delicious. The waitresses were very courteous. It is minutes from downtown lake George. We found many trails.
The room was absolutely filthy. They had full trash receptacles outside every room's door. There were tons of bugs in the room. Bedding was tattered. Outdated television. The chair in our room was wet Eww
And management was rude!
pros:
-friendly staff
-alot of open space.(I spent some time by the pond each day during my stay. it was a nice relaxing atmosphere.)
cons:
-cleanliness was not a priority.
-outdated
-common amenities were not available.
Beautiful scenery, our room was old and smelled like mold, and the wall paper is bubbly. Need to be UPGRADED. Won't come back again. Thank You for the service you provided. Could have been a little bit better. Towel are old and smelly.
Very basic rooms . It was fairly quiet. The people who work there are very helpful and tried to make it as homely as possible
Bands and Beans was Awesome. Music was great and on point. As "Rookie"(Long Horn Restaurant) owner all of the other business welcomed us with open arms. Truly a great experience!!!
I was there with my business for the Bands n Beans event. The srltaff was very accommodating and polite. I can't wait to do this event again next year.
I attended.Bands n Beans at Roaring Brook Ranch. Everyone was very friendly and I had a good time. However, they ran out of trays to use to carry chili very early on and there weren't enough garbage cans.
git gud but the cabins tho m8. the cabins have old furniture, TVs, and the closet door doesn't fit. the beds are also ripped. and the sink keeps running when you twist it off. the showers are cold and dirty, the toilet seats are scratched, and the phone is old! on the bright side, they have 2 great pools, a git gud lounge room with a mini candy claw machine that may not wok, and even a ranch with a restaurant. this may not be a great hotel. but sure is great on the ranch!
My husband and I stayed here on a weekend trip to Lake George at the end of August. The hotel was a quick drive to town and the lake. We had a very comfortable stay in a large room, a great add is the property is dog friendly. They offer trail rides which we weren't able to take advantage of but seemed easy to make a reservation. When we got home after our stay, my husband realized he left his laptop in one of the drawers. We called the hotel and they already had it safe in their office. Since we live about 3 hours away, we arranged to have it shipped. Ginny at Roaring Brook Ranch was so incredibly helpful to make sure we got our laptop back. Thank you so very much for all your help we look forward to another visit in the future!
