Food and cleanliness has improved greatly since about 8 years ago. Service is friendly and prompt if you ask for it but lacks initiave. Could be more proactive, like letting people know they can start on the buffet rather than waiting for conversations to end and people to figure it out. Better directions around the building. Less "internal speak", like telling people they need to walk through floods. "Floods" is the name of the bar. How would anyone know that? Just putting oneself in your guest's shoes could move this rating from good to great.

Fernhill golf club made my wedding amazing. The service was amazing. Everyone is still talking about how good the food was and how great the service was! It couldn’t have been more perfect! Thank you guys so much! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Melissa, rose, and Nancy helped out so much, along with the other staff that work there. I would recommend that everyone at least look at this place for any special occasion because they are amazing!

This is the best place to have a wedding. Everything was completely amazing, the food the venue and the staff. We had so many compliments about the food and the staff. The wedding shower was also held here and food for both events was outstanding! Thank you to the staff for making this a stress free event for my daughter's wedding! There is no other venue that can hold a candle to Fern Hill for the value!

My wedding was the best day of my life. Everything from scheduling adjustments, communication and the staff was excellent. Larry the "ranger" made sure photos where taken in the perfect spots on the course. Rose whom assisted me with booking the event was very helpful with suggestions for vendors as well. Nancy provided the best assistance any bride could ever ask for on such an important day. The food was great and I was told many times by the guest that attended. I am so happy I booked my wedding ceremony and reception with Fern Hill. I would especially like to thank Nancy for just being great. I am so grateful she was apart of a important day in my life. I will never forget her!

We were deeply disappointed by the facility’s management, and how they conducted themselves on our special day. From the very
start, at our rehearsal, the coordinator, Nancy, gave us a preview of the lack of zeal and professionalism that we would imminently receive on our wedding day. She greeted us without a smile and with a cold urgency, then rushed the rehearsal to benefit her own schedule as she had another appointment behind us, never making any effort to hide the fact that we weren't her only priority. Nancy cut our rehersal time in half in a pressured and impatient manner, to the point that even our officiant was displeased with her disposition. Nevertheless, we hoped this was an isolated incident, but unfortunately, our wedding day brought similar
    disappointments.

On the wedding day we arrived at Fern Hill at approximately 3:10 p.m., to a group of apathetic managers and frenetic servers working in a panic to flip our banquet hall, which was neither clean nor organized after an event that had ended only two hours before our reception. Our contract had granted us access two hours prior (at 3:00 p.m.) to set-up our centerpieces and table runners, but instead my mother and mother-in-law were left waiting until well after 4:00p.m. with the florist, watching the staff as they rushed to flip the hall. My aunt had to request new linens because the staff, in their frenzy to flip the hall, had somehow missed wrinkled and dirtied linens, while my mother listened as managers verbalized in panic how they “didn’t know if they had chair covers”. I lost that precious time before our ceremony with my mother because she was delayed in her set-up.

Nancy chose to conduct herself was again abrasively distasteful and, to be unequivocally honest, downright rude. Our DJ spent all the time
speaking with us and coordinating, while Nancy was nowhere to be found (for a banquet coordinator to fail to coordinate is a bit ironic), and as a result, our DJ was playing messenger boy for her while she was elsewhere. Communication was lacking, to say the least. A half-hour
before the ceremony, Nancy told our DJ, who told us, that we had to make a decision to have the ceremony inside or out due to inclement weather. It would truly have been nice to have Nancy tell us herself, in person, to personally to lend her expertise and advice; to communicate specifically the next steps to take given the circumstances. Her absence made us feel neglected and unwelcome. We understand that your venue offers multiple events at once, and management made sure to let us know that they were under the stress of balancing multiple events, but again, the facility failed to make us feel like a priority on our wedding day.

Furthermore, due to the disorganization and chaotic atmosphere within the venue, our ceremony was delayed a half hour. As stated in our contract, we were supposed start at 5:00 p.m., and we didn’t begin our ceremony until 5:30 p.m. due to Fern Hill’s negligence and/or disarray. Again, Nancy was nowhere to be found with an explanation of the delay, which took time away from our reception which we had PAID FOR!!! We were left without any sort of communication with any manager at all. After the ceremony, Nancy left without so much as a goodbye and we didn’t see her again. Nick,(the new coordinator) blatantly told my sisters that their speeches were too long. After the company delayed our ceremony and failed to show us the respect and courtesy that we paid for, I feel it was very audacious- comical even- for him to say that. It was very unprofessional to comment and simply not his place to do so.I understand that no wedding is perfect, and nothing goes without a hitch, but I do feel management could have made our experience much more satisfactory were they to conduct themselves with the warmth, intimacy, and respectability one expects when they sign the contract. I can’t in good conscience keep our disappointments to myself because I would hate for another bride and groom to experience the treatment we experienced.

Played here today the ground crew was very unprofessional. One guy had a giant blower on the back of a golf cart going up and down which was fine but everytime I tried too tee off or hit my ball he would just keep going. None of the grounds crew stops for you to play the ball and at one point said leaf blower guy ran over my ball. I paid for 18 and ended up leaving after 9 holes because I was furious with the crew. I hope someone teaches these people that they should stop so people can play golf in a quiet and relaxing setting and respecting their customers play. Will I return to play here. Probably not. I come to this course a lot because normal you get a good round for a good price but this isn't the first time this has happened to me and I'm honestly done with it. I'll take my money else where.

Excellent Place - calamari and rice balls were outstanding. My wife and I both ordered a burgers . They definitely name this burger correct. Juicy Lucy, it was very delicious and juicy, make sure you lean over when biting into the burger. Juicy Lucy dripped all over the front of me.

It was dark and set up weird. The sales person we spoke with about booking our wedding made it seem like it was a bother to talk to us. They knew we had an appointment yet when they seen us standing in the foyer no one came out to greet us. When we did get noticed someone was working in the guest chair at the desk. The sales person didn't say anything to her, she was getting a folder together. When she finally noticed us she said "oh" and picked up her books and walked away. Terrible customer service. We will definitely not be booking there.

I hadn't been to Fern Hill in quite a few years until I had heard they were under new ownership, and man what a difference it has made that place! I can't rave enough about the courtesy of the staff, and their outstanding menu. I find myself regularly heading here for dinner (huge fan of their arancini), in a cozy environment with a nice crowd and a cold pint. The whole establishment feels so clean and new compared to how it used to be years ago. One of my favorite things is heading up here after work during the summer, and enjoying dinner (or one of their awesome brick oven pizzas) outside on their patio. It's beyond relaxing. A beautiful view of their golf course and pure relaxation. They sometimes have live entertainment as well which is always cool. I'm beyond happy with the direction Fern Hill has been taken, and it has become a favorite hangout spot for me.

I had a wedding reception and ceremony at fern hill. Worst experience of my life! I wish I could put 0 stars. The day that is supposed to be the best day of my life turned into a living nightmare. The costumer service out of the staff including management was horrible. They did not care about anything. They went against my contract countless times and when asked about it they ignored me. I never worked with the same office staff ever. My rehearsal dinner was horrible and no one from the banquet office was there to help. When a manger got involved he was very rude to me and made me cry. The day of the wedding they over booked their building and caused a lot of unneeded stress on me. The chair and table covers were all stained up. Not to mention that they served wine to the kids( ages 5 & 12) in my wedding party! I truly wish I had chosen the many other halls I looked at before. If you are a bride looking to have your wedding here DO NOT!! It is not worth it! there are so many other places out there that are way better and will treat you better. Just a horrible place!
