Best club in Detroit area, fantastic music in an intimate setting and great food and service. Gretchen Valade you created a wonderful spot! Catch Thornetta Davis when she plays here.

Great music, great food, nice atmosphere. Bartender was absolutely great. Also serves as introducer of the entertainment. Had to give him a large tip.

The drinks, the food, the service, and the music were all phenomenal. It made for an outstanding anniversary dinner. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves good jazz and good food.

Celebrated my anniversary there, they had a nice jazz band playing while we enjoyed our dinner. The service was good and the food was delicious.

Entertainment was great!!! The food was mediocre. Hence the 3 star rating. Our steaks were lukewarm, our sides were cold. My father-in-law's steak was terrible. Nothing but fat. The entertainment takes away from the fact that the food is not great. Which is a shame. Make the food great along with the entertainment and this place would be a gold mine!

Classy & cozy spot for live jazz! Great staff went out of their way helping my wife surprise me on my birthday! If you love jazz you'll love DDJC!

The food was good, but the service below average where I sat. Also, if you can't get a table in the front / main area..forget going. I sat in the adjacent room where there are 6-8 additional tables. You get to watch the musicians on the TV. That's fine, but theirs is very outdated TV and to add salt to the wound..the sound in that room is coming from the TV speakers!!! Not an exceptional audio system. I mean come on.. This is a Jazz Club in a very posh area. You'd figure a place like that could invest in some decent speakers, subwoofers, and a new TV. It was an embarrassment. Even better..knock down that damn wall and open it up.

Great for a night out. The venue is small, and you absolutely must make reservations. Usually has seating in two time periods for the shows, and you will need to use a card to reserve your place. Food is good, service is better. Overall a lovely experience.
